The car was not ready for me. I had let them know that I would be collecting it the following day and when I arrived they were still washing the vehicle. They gave me a bigger car and as I was in a hurry I had to return later to exchange for the smaller size which I wanted. Took a long time to do the paperwork when I picked up the car and 20 minutes to do paperwork when I returned it. They then asked if I had smoked in the car as there was a smell of smoke. It had had this smell when I collected the car.2.0 Poor

My car was scheduled for 6pm. I didn't realize that they close at 6 as well, by the time I got there for a pickup, they were closed. I delayed my trip until next morning. When I got to Hertz for pickup in the morning, they didn't put any effort into getting me a car instead told me very rudely that they are sold out.2.0 Poor

Despite all the negative reviews from other customers, I find my experience with thrifty car rental smooth, I had to wait a bit for my rental car, but the agent was courteous enough to extend three hours on my return time, so I'm very pleased with their service!2.0 Poor

TL;DR DO NOT CHOOSE THIS RENTAL LOCATION. IT'S A SCAM This specific Thrifty location should be black listed. I called them by phone to let them know I was going to be 20 minutes late. They told me my car wasn't there, but it WOULD be at 3pm (3h late). Fine with me. I called back at 2:30 to verify my car was there. This is where the Thrifty representative was horrible! I was informed that there were no cars for me. I asked how can this be, I have a confirmed reservation. She said all the cars were rented in the morning. I inquired about brining in a car from another location but she insisted there were no cars available. We went back and forth. I was firm, but not once did I raise my voice, swear, or sound aggressive. I was just trying to find a way to get a car because I needed it to go visit my family for the Easter long weekend! Eventually she hung up on me!!!! I called back and she picked up the phone and hung up. I called several times and she either didn't answer, immediately put me on hold, and or just picked up and hung up. The end result was that I was left stranded in Vancouver, away from family for the entire Easter weekend. All other rental cars were booked and or too expensive for me.Budget

Cons:
I arrived at the airport at 7:30pm and called for a shuttle. I called twice with no answer. I took a taxi out an couldn't find the location. I finally got through and the person on the phone said they closed at 5. On my printed out paper, it says pick up till 9pm. I had to make a last minute booking with another company at the airport and paid a 65$ taxi fee for the back and forth. The money I would have saved was not worth this head ache. I am super disappointed the pick up times weren't clearly indicated and I would have arranged myself accordingly. I think kayak should make a better effort in providing better, reliable companies considering their name is associated with them.8.0 Very good

Arrived in Orlando, called ACO for pickup and was told my car had been cancelled. There is absolutely NO way that I did this. The customer service person had no explanation and offered no help other then to go back online and try again. When I did this I was told there were no cars available. Shuttle from airport doesn’t arrive. I called multiple times. No answer, no response to voicemail. Took taxi instead. Hard to find location which is in the middle of nowhere, barely lit and marked Tuff instead of ACO. Got to counter at 7:02 and was told they close at 7 so wouldn’t help me. Also if you are an hour late your entire contract is canceled anyway. So they would not have helped me regardless due to the shuttle bus issue. I was stranded with my toddler and no car. Staff would not even call me a taxi. Thank goodness Lyft was nearby. Terrible staff, terrible service, terrible operation. I wasted $50+ in cab fare thanks to ACO. BEWARE.8.4 Very good
