Most disgusting experience ever, Arrived taking a bus to this location after dropping my vehicle at mechanic. Yellow slip drivers licence temporary operating permit which does not have a picture is questioned for lack of photo even though they acknowledge it’s valid and both your terms and hertz state it’s acceptable when presented with your credit card which was used to secure reservation…I present the credit card formerly noted and offer several other pieces of ids including bank card. Guy at till says do I have photo I’d in my phone I say no so he must talk to manager. Manager starts long winded speech while I’m bushed from a unanticipated and long bus ride and sky train ride as my ride had an emergency so as I interrupt and express my displeasure in this he claims he must have picture I’d. At this point I’m not even pretending to be polite in the face of their lack of courtesy professionalism and their duty to uphold a contractual obligation and I tell them what I think of the whole circus show….and a bad one at that (14309 72nd avenue Surrey bc location) and I call hertz who says will refund but can’t get me the vehicle ( though in the complaint call I placed later to hertz they said that the contract should have been honoured per their terms) I accept refund but am stranded in Surrey with no vehicle and no way to get on with my day and plans so I return and state I have photo I’d in my other phone which I found while aimlessly standing outside talking to hertz and wondering whAt the heck I’m going to do in the middle of nowhere without my rental vehicle and the same guy who asked if I had the I’d on phone and said that was acceptable claims that that is now not good enough…Personal much? Since when did the corporation start acting like our parent through their representatives and treating us the supposed customer as bad children who must earn their services or items they pay for with their own money?? I didn’t know I have to please those gentlemen at hertz to get a car? What next since it’s personal will they start training us for sexual favours? Is this the post COVID face of western civilization…there was a time this behaviour would have been considered totally unacceptable whereas these days it’s the new norm in many places…..Reviewed 31 May 2022

Didn’t have a full tank on pick up day.I took a picture and pointed it out to the guy and he said bring it back with the same amount in it so I did. Brought it back and the same guy said it wasn’t full and that I had to fill it up?! Cost me an extra $20 so hertz won’t be getting my business in the future.Reviewed 18 May 2022

Nice staff. Easy to book and do pickup. Drop off was easy but alot more money for airport drop off than I was quoted which I was quite shocked. I was quoted $40 for airport dropp off and I was xharged $137. Can you please look into that charge please.? Karen ODonnellReviewed 25 Nov. 2021

I booked my car rental (Toyota Corolla or similar) approximately a week in advance online. On the day of the pick-up, I arrive 5mins before the location opens at 8AM. Walked inside with booking number in hand, talked to the agent and after he answered a couple calls, he tells me to come back in a couple hours at around 10AM because they didn’t have the car that I was renting in their lot. He goes on saying that they’ll need to go and check the body shop if there’s anything available. The only cars he had on hand were two large trucks and he did not offer a replacement vehicle or anything. I was very distressed because the hold up will tamper my travel plans to Kelowna. A few minutes pass by and he receives another call. His colleague informs him that he has the Corolla on the way. Car arrives at the lot and the agent shows it to me while they clean the exterior. I’m not even sure if they cleaned and sanitized the interior after it was returned by the previous renter because we found a piece of garbage inside. (Note: when I returned the vehicle, a few garages down I saw Hertz personnel cleaning the interior of other rental cars with a vacuum. Hence, my rental has a high possibility of not being maintained, cleaned or sanitized before I picked-it-up). Agent gave complimentary roadside assistance and extended my return time to the following day which made no difference because when I dropped off the car at the designated drop-off point on the same day at 4PM, it was just a key drop box. So technically he just gave me the roadside assistance to compensate all the trouble. Was it worth it? 🤔Reviewed 15 Sep. 2021

I told Hertz that My flight was delayed by 4hrs but Hertz wouldn’t hold the booking for me that I had made over a month ago. They said I would have to make a new booking which was twice the price. Being forced to do a new last minute booking meant that I would have to pay many times the rate with other rental firms. I won’t be using Hertz againReviewed 21 Aug. 2021
