Nice rustic look. Location is near the harbour and a walkable distance to the fish market. The tavern had a nice pirate feel to it which adds to the inn's location.
Noise from the road (eg. Cars driving by, loud talking) could be heard from our 2nd floor room. Toilet had a broken toilet seat. Car parking I was told would be AUD15 a day, but ended up getting charged AUD63 when I collected my car the next day (at 9:45am, could be a timing thing, we parked at Interpark nearby)
Fantastic staff. Very considerate and friendly
Super convenient location and cheap.
Every time I used the front door it wasn’t locked properly. No ac - fine for me in October but would be bad in summer or winter. It was also noisy. Yes, it was an old listed building so they are limited with the renovations they can make. Just be aware that there is a lot of street noise because of the old windows, and noise within the hotel from other guests. I was woken up at 6.15am by two kids running around in the room above.
If you just wanna sleep for the night its the best place and very close to anything.
the noice of the people coming in and out at night.
All things. Especially the owners. Great service and product knowledge
Noisy drivers and drunks overnight in the street.
