I really love the concept and I love how it is so accessible to a lot of tourist spots in Tokyo. The staff were really nice too and drinks were amazing! It is also quiet inside and I had a nice relaxing time.
I loved my stay so much! No negative comments.
The bed is comfortable
Need to pay for plain water
The designs, of course. I also love how the common room was quiet, probably because people who stayed were busy reading or working on their laptop. The individual cabin was quite roomy. They also had washlets in the toilets! The location is close to Ikebukuro train station and Metropolitan Hotel where you can arrive from/go to the airports using bus.
It's just that we must pay for everything - including water and towel - using cards. The place is strictly card (credit card, IC card) only so please be prepared.
Books are nice
Too small. No drinking water
The concept was very beautiful and relaxing. Even at 3:00 am, guests were reading peacefully in the lounge. I could write a letter and journal in the lounge too, which I loved! I also loved its rustic feel. The wooden decor was warm and simple. There was a variety of books for English and Japanese guests. I liked looking at the selection. I also liked that a small eating area was provided along with a microwave! Thank you for this lovely space!
I would have liked if the staff told me at the desk or before coming in by email, to keep all of the things I need while in the hotel at the top of my bag(s). Since there was no locker room, it was difficult to shuffle through my bag without making much noise. Also, because I had bought many Japanese snacks, I crinkled so much when I arrived late at night while people were sleeping! I also would have liked this warning (to keep needed items at the top of my bag) because I was placed in a tight corridor where if i was going through my bag under the bed or while in that hallway, I was blocking the way for anyone who needed to go through that hallway. It was very tight and I had awkward encounters where other guests had to back out of the hallway for me to pass or vice versa. I felt the beds were comfy but the mattress was bubbly so moving on it in any way was quite noisy. Also, there was a small gap between the head of my bed and the wall. When I plugged in electronics, I was worried they might slip through the crack and dangle or fall on the guest sleeping in the bottom bunk. I solved this by pushing my pillow against the wall, but it was still a slight worry at first. Lastly, the slippers provided were a bit noisy... haha. I walked bare feet instead.
