Not clean . Noisy.
Very quiet neighbourhood, and 3 minutes walk to subway or JR line into Tokyo station (different directions). Several restaurants nearby, Japanese take on Italian across the street, no English menu just point, £45 for two inc bottle of drinkable wine and four lovely slabs of beef, another Japanese restaurant near Kayabucho station, similar price with sake and beer.
It is a very small room, and like many Japanese hotels at this level, one side of the (not very large) double bed is against the wall. Forget the green and orange tea powder, zero flavour. Checking in is an experience, you're not quite dealing with a robot, but it's close...
Very nice personnel, great location, rooms are VERY tidy.
Electric kettle is really weak - boils 0.8 litres of water per 5+ mins. Air conditioner could use some english prompts on the remote.
Walking distance from train station. staff were friendly and helpful. amenities were available in the lobby near the lift so can take what you need. Coin operated laundry available. supermarket nearby. Room was comfortable, still small but that was expected
Hotel is getting renovated, we were informed when making booking, so this is not an issue. we were out during the day so did not notice any noise when we were back
Location is OK. Several places near to eat.
They are with external renovations of the hotel, but as you have to pay in advance, first you pay and after that they tell you about the noise the renovations can cause. So you don't have any choice. Staff not very welcoming. The hardest mattress I slept in Japan.
