Clean rooms. Air conditioning is good .
Almost no pillow, just a piece of clothes and a piece of cotton. No internet most of time, asked the receptionest to fix it and nothing happened. Just 2 packets of tea and 2 nescafe , while only one glass and one teaspoon they dont change them for the whole duration of stay . Check out at 11 am not like other hotels at 12 am
The main manager was amazing - she had perfect English and explained everything about the options what to see and how to plan our visit in Vienna - very helpful! Had all the maps and booklets, could buy tickets on place for Hop On - Hop off bus. Called taxi for us on the time we told them to. Could leave the luggage in storage for the day of check-out. Location was rather good, though it seemed far from center at those moments when you wanted to return home faster and the legs were burning from tiredness. Loved the fact that there is air conditioner - there is really a need for it in the hot summer. Although it is turned so it blows straight on the bed, we couldn't use it at night, but we left it on in the day and it cooled the room enough to be able to get through the night without turning it on. We were staying on the yard side - bad view from the window but at least it was silent, so I am happy about that!
It is no way a 4 star hotel. I could give a rating of a very good 2 star hotel, not more. The room was small, it looked old, paint is hardly staying on, windows are old. That all is ok - for a 2 star hotel. Maybe if I just hadn't stayed in a real 4 star hotel in Puchberg the day before, I would go easier on the rating - to be honest the hotel in Puchberg was more expensive but it was like day and night - you can't even start comparing them! I had booked a room with a sink, microwave and a small fridge - kitchenette - but it was even funny how little dishes were available - 2 wine glasses, for example, were each from a different set. Couple of plates max. Wi-fi wasn't working - I heard complaints from other guests as well - staff promised to restart the router, don't know if it helped - we already left. Breakfast was simple but it had all essentials.
I liked the staff they were friendly and very helpful . Room was comfortable and I could park my motorcycle securely inside the small garage . Fairly close to a subway for getting around the city . Breakfast was nice .
My room smelled like someone kept a dog in it . It’s a as clean but still a strange smell and no view .
The location is OK. It is only short ride on the tram from the center. The stuff (not including the management) was very nice and helpful.
On friday night the owner of the hotel decided to have a party for his daughter in the hotels cafe right beneath our room. A very loud music was playing until way past 1 am. I had to go 4 times to the reception to ask for quiet, it took them about 40 minutes to dismantle the party and send all the guests home. I heard more than 25 times the words "I'm sorry" from the son (a grown man) of the owner, but eventually we lost about 2 hours of sleep over this, and not even a small compensation was offered. Another problem was that when we arrived to the hotel, only one set of sheets was waiting for us. Inside the closet was an extra pillow on the floor with some hair on it. Also the towels were very old and even seemed dirty. Here a good word for the lady at the reception which quickly dealt with it. Also the safe in the room was broken, although we didn't need it so we didn't care. Another minor (but consistent with overall picture of the guest treatment) issue was that unlike in many other 4 star hotels nothing in the room said "welcome". At least from our experience, usually some small present in the room awaits you something like a greeting card or a chocolate bar.
