Disney's Polynesian Village Resort - Lake Buena Vista - Outdoors view
3
9.4 Excellent (10,526 reviews)
C$ 1192+
Overview Reviews
As one of Walt Disney World’s original hotels, the Polynesian, or Poly, has a rich history and is incredibly popular with Disney fans. Disney resorts are all family-friendly, but with an amazing pool area, kids’ club, and large rooms that sleep a family of five, The Poly exceeds expectations. Located on the northwest side of Walt Disney World, the Poly is connected to several Disney resorts, including the Grand Floridian and the Contemporary, via the resorts ultra-convenient location right on the monorail line. The monorail and ferry also offer transportation to Magic Kingdom, and a short walk to the Transportation Center, which offers rides to Epcot. Traveling to other parks requires a short bus ride. The Poly is considered a village because of the sprawling layout compromised of 11 longhouses, the Bora Bora Bungalows, and the Great Ceremonial House. There are many on-site amenities, ranging from a grotto pool that features a 40-foot tall volcano and 140-foot-long waterslide, a white sand beach with recreation, an outdoor playground, and a 24-hour video game arcade. There are three kid-friendly restaurants in addition to Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto. Kona Café, Captain Cook’s, and ‘Ohana are the on-site restaurants offering something for everyone. Plus, the Spirit of Aloha dinner show is extremely popular. For fine dining, the Grand Floridian and the Contemporary are just a short monorail ride away. The rooms are a huge advantage to families because they sleep up to five people, more than most Disney resorts. They have recently undergone a big renovation in terms of design. Plenty of sleeping space, places to sit, a desk, and furnished balconies are great features for families at the resort.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful experience at the Yacht Club Resort!!!
Cons: We love this hotel!! The staff is amazing.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Besides getting bedbugs and being locked out of my room at 11:30 at night because our wrist wouldn't work and stayed on the phone for 20 min being on hold in the hallway just to say you have to come to the front desk to get new bands
Cons: While my wife and kids are sleeping in the hallway and being mis treated at the park especially toy story park which was the park we wanted to go to yes it all sucked !!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: We loved that it really felt we were in the South Pacific, the theming is done so well. The convenience to the Magic Kingdom was also great. There is a perfect mix of quick eating and sit down options as well. Walking out of your building and seeing Cinderella's castle is pretty awesome.
Cons: Our room was in the farthest building from the main lobby area (Great Ceremonial House). Was a bit of a walk to get there, but it was a nice walk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Jennifer at the front desk
Cons: Monorail closed too early.

Pros: We got park hopper tickets so we napped midday and then either walked to Epcot or took the boat to Hollywood Studios most evenings. We also enjoyed the free campfire with marshmallows, movies on the beach, and kiddie waterslide at beautiful pool.
Cons: The buses to Magic and Animal Kingdoms were both crowded and uncomfortable standing with a toddler. If those are your main priorities to visit, you may want to book a closer hotel than Beach Club. Felt like too much of a hassle to go back again at night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love Beach Club; once again, not disappointed. We will come back.

9.7 Excellent
Pros: Close proximity to Epcot. Beautiful resort.
Cons: The price of the room was a little much.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Easy to get to Epcot and Hollywood Studios
Cons: Can be Expensive
7.0 Good
Cons: When making the reservation I was promised a king bed and upon checking was told that only queen beds were available.
6.2 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Pool too loud, no water in rooms , rooms not worth the money, quite pool no service
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, location, location - easy walk to Epcot and relatively short bus ride to all of the other parks. BoardWalk area also has a lot to do. Staff was very friendly and pool/playground was a big hit with my toddler.
Cons: Rooms were average for the price but that was expected. Pool towels are also too small!
10.0 Excellent
Cons: 11 is the age at which you get charged as an adult in the restaurants, but not old enough to be in the arcade unaccompanied.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, ambience, cleanliness, shadow of the Disney experience. It's a great location being between two of the four parks both of which are within walking distance. Very convenient to take a break and return later in the evening. The Flying Fish Cafe has great food albeit expensive but then again, everything at Disney is expensive so you already know what to expect.
Cons: The daily intrusion by housekeeping to check up on you is creepy. It isn't that they are concerned about you but just because of what the maggot did in Las Vegas doesn't entitle them to intrude on your privacy like you were a suspicious character. It's enough that you get the inconvenient airport experience at the park entrances that now you have to suffer this indignity.
7.0 Good
Pros: The theme and the location.
Cons: No 24 hour room service. This is really important because often times we stay at the park until close and are very hungry by the time we get back. There is no food anywhere nearby after midnight.

Pros: First time we have stayed in Congress Park Section of the resort, and it measured up. It is located between the main building with the restaurants and pool, and the shopping and dining on Disney Springs. Our deluxe studio (2632) was spacious and along one of the unused water ways so we enjoyed a quiet weekend. The bus stop was just a short walk, and we waited no more the 15 min. For our buses to arrive.

Cons: Expensive and lots and can get a bit crowded at the pools at certain times of the day.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Being able to use my points which cost dearly.
Cons: This isn't my home resort. I can never get in but no one WANTS to use their points here. It's just that it's usually all that's left if you want a spontaneous vacation. BTW my home resort is the Boardwalk and since I purchased in 1997, I've only been able to stay there a handful of times. :-(

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Disney knows how to maintain consistent standards. really well maintained ad=nd staffed hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The people were all helpful and friendly
Cons: There was so much walking and the bus pickups were quite far after a whole day of being in a park. It's so large of an area they need carts to haul people
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love this hotel...great pools and rooms
Cons: If you're lucky you don't have a monster walk to get coffee in the morning. If you're unlucky it's a long way to get coffee and food anytime of day.
7.0 Good
Pros: We love the location and hotel grounds. The pool is also awesome.
Cons: Parking fee. (We are Disney annual passholders and find this add fee unnecessary) Room was small and had a strong smell this time, like the used some sort of apple freshener in the air conditioning .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: No
5.0 Okay
Pros: The upgrade
Cons: The staff was just horrible and there is no real guest services to help with ticket issues had to go all the way to the park.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Theme
Cons: The buildings were confusing and hard to get around
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds with shady trees and riverfront. Nice pools and lots of options for meals. Comfortable spacious rooms and great convenient buses to parks and other resorts.
Cons: Room was far from the parking and did not have an elevator
1.0 Poor
Pros: The beds
Cons: Not very convenient. No room service. Problems getting food delivered.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The live entertainment and the walking trail.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Riverside was away from the main resort so quiet on the night which was great for the kids. There are a few pools that were fairly empty so kids had a great time cooling off with the other kids that were there.
Cons: Nothing, it was great there!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Food court had a lot of choices and the staff that worked there were great. Very friendly and helpful. One of the best food courts in Disney we have encountered. Multiple pools, so you could find a quiet one if you wanted. Nice areas for walking.
Cons: Our room was not ready on time. We finally asked to be put in a different room. This messed up our room key, our luggage was not forwarded and we lost the $10 credit for declining room service.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: On Disney property
Cons: Price high and not happy I had to pay for parking - this is a terrible way to treat your guest
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The attention to detail on this hotel is amazing. The staff is amazing too, the man who checked us in was so welcoming and accommodating.
Cons: We had a little incident with one of the women behind the food counter, rolling her eyes and showing her annoyance towards my son with Autism. Other then that everything about our stay was fantastic !!
6.0 Good
Pros: Loved the different themes
Cons: It's perfect for a family not so much a couple. The rooms need to be updated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was wonderful and my grandchildren loved it
Cons: No
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very clean. Pools were large and clean. There are games and movies at the pool, weather permitting. Very close to Disney parks and you get extra perks when staying at a Disney hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Had an amazing experience at The Art Of Animation Resort. We were located in the Little Mermaid section. We encountered wonder cast members who provided excellent customer service!
Cons: Our internet did not work in our room for texting and sending photos to family back at home. It would not work on Disney WiFi or Verizon wireless. All messages failed to send. Other than that it was a perfect stay!
7.0 Good
Pros: Theming was exceptional. It will be nicer once the Disney Skyliner is running.
Cons: The distance to get to transportation and dining (no coffee in room, no microwave) dampened our experience. The main pool doesn't have its featured music underwater. Cast members were unsure how long it would be out.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The cleanliness, staff and theme parks transportation
Cons: The rooms seemed bigger on the pictures
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is Disney
7.0 Good
Pros: The themes were very cute. The location was great and transportation to and from the park were great too. The staff was very nice, whenever we would walk by someone they would greet us with a smile and ask if we were ok.
Cons: The rooms itself were smaller with full beds instead of queen and the walls were extremely thin. I could literally hear the guests next door putting the toilet seat up and down and flushing, showering, etc. The room was very far from the lobby/bus.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The Disney characters and the hotel decorations all over
Cons: Room could have been a little nicer without rust stains in bathroom and some signs of dings to the walls
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We especially liked the setting and theming - we stayed in the Little Mermaid section. The food court was great and having 3 pools to use was also a huge plus.
Cons: The room was a bit on the small side although for 2 senior adults it was adequate. If you had a party of 4 it would be very tight. I thought the carpet was filthy and absolutely needed to be shampooed. Rule of thumb is always don't walk barefoot!

Overview Reviews
Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort is in the Lake Buena Vista area of Orlando, Florida. The resort is just across from Walt Disney World Resort making it a perfect choice for families going on that Disney dream vacation. All of the suites have private balconies and living spaces that are separate from the bedrooms. Each unit also has its own full kitchen to give guests the convenience of dining in when they want to. The restaurants include La Cantina Grill, La Cocina Pizzeria & Bar, Escudos Bar & Grill, and the Treasure Bar. There are areas for picnics and BBQs as well. There is so much to do in Orlando. That really goes without saying. Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort has tons for its guests to do right on the property too though. There are five outdoor pools and two lazy rivers. There’s a playground, nine hot tubs, entertainment rental items, a running track, two kids’ water features, a shuffleboard court, and more. It would be hard-pressed for anyone to get bored there. Whether traveling with small children for the magical trip of a lifetime or looking for a romantic getaway for a couple’s retreat, Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort has everything any type of guest could want or need.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great.
Cons: The only thing that makes me give an Okay review for this hotel is the fact that from the moment you arrive the staff is asking you to take a tour of Wyndham so that they can sell you ownership at Wyndham in other words so they can sell you a timeshare if you say no they will ask again so don’t think a simple no will be OK. Other than that pressure the hotel was great staff was AMAZING and the pools beautiful and very close to the parks.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I attended with my husband and 2 younger children and 2 older children. We all had something to do. I like the different activities and chance to just relax. Everyone loved the numerous pools, lazy rivers, and there were many Jacuzzi hot tusb that we always found that it wasn't crowded. I will definitely stay again.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The resort is close to everything. We used the grills almost nightly. Lots of things for the kids to do.
Cons: The maid didn't come once during our 5 night stay. When we got to our room the tub was leaking from the handle. The fan that drys the tub came on scaring my kids. We called the front desk and it was fixed quickly but I feel the maid should have caught it when she cleaned. I also didn't like how they try to get you to buy the timeshare.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We love the location of this resort for our Disney World vacations!
Cons: Tower 5’s lazy river shut down part way through our stay for resurfacing, which of course was our son’s favorite pool. The bathroom layout of the three bedroom Presidential doesn’t afford much privacy to the nines-master wing of the suite.
6.2 Good
Pros: It's on Disney Property, good for family to spend time together rather then having two separate hotel rooms.
Cons: They waste your time trying to get you to buy a time share. They tell you to go to a different area to get parking pass and then keep you

Pros: The location was great! Walking distance to Old Town which is a fun place to hang out.
Cons: NA
8.2 Excellent
Cons: The mattress's in both bedrooms were HORRIBLE, besides that the place was nice
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean fun place to stay. We had a great time at my wife's family reunion this weekend and they couldn't have picked a better place to stay
Cons: The hidden taxes and fees were a bit steep. Also... $170 per deposit plus 70$ non refundable fee for my lil piccapoo to stay w us seems s bit ridiculous. I understand the deposit but the fee??
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice area .good for kids
Cons: Bugs and lack of customer service
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived a day early and at check in they did an awsome job at fitting us in a day early so we could settle after a long drive ! And they were very friendly and understanding of our situation a billion star rating from our family !!!!!
Cons: I couldn't name anything I didnt like ! You all are awsome !
10.0 Excellent

Cons: The pool time closing was very early
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great! I liked the house, the pool and the staff.
Cons: The floors were dirty in the first house we stayed in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love the entire resort! The tiny homes are amazing and clean. Perfect for a family. It's very close to the Disney parks and walking distance to old Town. It was very quite and very clean. The miniature golf, volleyball, and shuffleboard were a nice surprise and free! We will absolutely be coming back!!
Cons: There was nothing that I did not like.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: We had more than enough space in the platinum cottage. It was clean, quiet, and centrally located. My husband travels a lot for work and stays in Hampton Inn more than 3 times a month, he commented that the cottage was cleaner than 90% of the rooms he stays in with Hampton Inn. There was ample closet and storage space and with the deal we got from Kayak, the price literally could not be beat!! Especially since there is on site laundry, a bark park, mini golf, a pool, a cafe, and a small "general" store in the office. We stayed here to go to Disney and it was easy to get on and off property from this location. We will be back! We are even considering buying one of the smaller cottages they have for sale on site. Our three year old loved this place as well, she called it her green house the entire stay.
Cons: The beds could use new mattresses and the cottage needed extra pillows but it's not like we lost any sleep over these two things. The only other thing I might add is the cottage needed an informative guide inside. We didn't know how or where to get fresh towels, where to take the garbage, check out guidelines, etc. But all we had to do was ask/explore a bit. I rated the staff at 4 stars because they were not very professional (I only encountered the night shift at the desk) otherwise, we really couldn't find anything to complain about!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great!
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing, after coming here 10 years this new management company killed the whole customer service Karla the GM and Mercedes are the worst
Cons: Everything hot cabins, bad plumbing and terrible service
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
