Pros: Fantastic property, very well managed with top notch level of service. Had a spectacular view from our room and very much enjoyed our breakfast/dinner combo.
Cons: Service is super professional, but sometimes lacking a bit the warmth you experience a bit further south in Italy. Breakfast buffet is amazing, just found the eggs always quite overcooked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the hotel is fantastic. There is a beautiful garden where you can relax and have the breakfast or the afternoon meal. The attitude of the staff is exelent. Breakfast and dinner are very good. Our suite was beautiful ,very clean and large. The hotel is managed very good. We did not use the other facilities. A very good hotel to make a great vacation in the beautiful Dolomites.
Cons: The only thing that we did not like, is the fact that some of the people are smoking in the balcony of their room and the smell penetrates our room. It is a very bad habit in some of the Europe hotels.
7.9 Good
Pros: clean good view and location
6.0 Good
Pros: Staff friendly, room comfortable and Spa area clean.
Cons: Food was dissapointing with Pork and Sausages undercooked (sausages at breakfast were not edible)

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff, pool, dinner, and room were excellent the first night, but...
Cons: ...the second night was so noisy from the kitchen staff below us (we were in the annex, first room on the second floor) and the entrance door ‘slammed’ each time someone came in (this can and should be fixed). Also, our second breakfast staff person would not reset a terrace table (many were empty) and we were directed to sit inside with the bus group and a loud, challenging child.
5.4 Okay
Pros: the reception people are very nice. helping and supporting.
Cons: the Cleanness was out of expectation for a 4 start hotel. 1. The water sink was blocked since the beginning, not repaired till check out. 2. Yellow color rusty water from the shower! 3. Dinner forks and knife with dry remaining food! 4. When I came back in the evening, I saw my pajamas was thrown onto the ground!!
7.1 Good
Pros: We stayed at the JuniorSuite 103, the room was nice, big and clean, Nice Swimming pool, Very confortable garage included, Food and menu really good, Very nice and friendly staff. The family offers a very nice lunch at their 'malga' in the Alpe of Villandro.
Cons: The first week of august 2018 was really hot and the room has not air conditioned; we would have like to have breakfast and dinner at the terrace and veranda, but there was a big annoying problem with many vasps. The room 103 (very nice view of the valley) is a little bit noisy, when, during the after dinner/night people are chatting at the hotel entrance and terrace bar. The JuniorSuite room description included a bidet in the bathroom, but the bidet, in the JuniorSuite 103 was not present.
7.9 Good
Pros: Food and wines quite good. Staff German friendly but very helpful. The spa is small but comfortable. Excellent garage (spacious and secure).
Cons: Only very minor things: Despite being in Italy, few of the staff spoke italian. We managed with english, but some customers my feel otherwise. The facilities are ok, but somehow lack of maintenance (tiny biys and pieces only). Dinner German-style (latest al 19:30). Food was excellent
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location ++ , Staff ++
Cons: No A/C and we were in a heatwave so was very hot in the rooms. Although the excellent staff provided a fab which helped
6.7 Good
Cons: The room is small & no elevator Wifi is poor

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a Tyrolean dream. It looks like it should be in the Swiss Alps. Everyone in the area speaks German. The views are beyond spectacular. If you can get a room with a view, do it. But even the rooms at the back overlook a paddock filled with goats, turkeys and hens. Rooms are completely soundproof; we did not hear a thing. Bathrooms are great with heated floors and towel racks and a good shower, The breakfasts are fantastic, There are numerous cereals, yogurts, cheeses, breads, meats, fruit, etc. We hiked for over four hours and were not hungry. Dinners were good; perhaps not great, but you will NOT want to drive that road in the dark looking for something else. The bar is wonderful, the wine selection good, and Phillipp the waiter/bartender is very personable and helpful. So is the young owner. We hiked from the top parking lot to the tiny chapel (four pews with room for eight worshippers) and then to the lake and down. Utterly peaceful, only the sound of the cowbells and the wind. It was wonderful. I hope we can go again one day.
Cons: We didn't know dinner was at 6:30, so it was fortunate we checked in at 6:25. The road is narrow and has a lot of switchbacks. It was a bit scary; I wouldn't want to do it in the dark.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was exceptional, prepared from local home made products. The same applies also for dinner. We liked the welness with a wide selection of different saunas and an amazing view on Dolomites.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved this hotel. Everything was exceptionally good. A warm welcome, amazing outdoor bar area with a view of the mountains, amazing spa, and then the food was also incredibly good. Rooms were spotless, and a balcony with the most amazing view! I can't rate this hotel highly enough, and we are already planning when we can return! Also really good value for money given the quality of the hotel/spa, and the food.
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect! The only downside was that we only booked one night, we would have loved to stay longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a perfectly silent place in the mountains, for a very nice and relaxed time with your family, friends and beloved ones. Very clean in the rooms, very attentive (family attitude alike) staff, headed by the owners of the hotel. Definitely recommended at any time of the year.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting of the hotel is unparalleled. Amazing hiking trails abound. Mountain biking and horseback riding also possibilities. Several different saunas and whirlpools after you return. All guests were German, swiss or northern Italian except us.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Free aperitivo at the check in. Wide selection of good quality food for breakfast mostly homemade. Spacious bedroom. Sauna and hydromassage, relaxing room with free beverages and apples. A little gift at the check out!
Cons: I asked for a cappuccino for breakfast and it wasn't good. When I asked why they told me it was made with Americano coffee. So it wasn't a cappuccino at all!! I went to the bar and asked a macchiato to recover, which was very good btw. But I had to pay the cappuccino as well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a magnificent hotel with fantastic views, great delicious breakfast and if you get the half board, you will definitely enjoy the fabulous 5 course dinner. My husband an I will definitely return next year with some of our family members . It is truly a perfect place to appreciate the peaceful nature, relax and enjoy the precious gift of life.
Cons: Everything was perfect and beautiful. This is a family oriented hotel, overflowing with warmth, great service and food to your desire. We are in love with this place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A family run hotel. Location is perfect, surroundings are beautiful. Hotel staff was very proffesional, helpfull and really nice. They also like to give you information and tips for hiking or exploring the neighborhood area. Food was great and really tasty. Wellnes is small but beautifully organized and clean.
Cons: Everything was quite ok, just maybe with new matresses woul be perfect...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, lovely staff, very nice breakfast, amazing dinner. I definitely would like to stay here again!
Cons: Sauna is available only between 15:00-18:00. Would be great if it was extended to also evenings
10.0 Excellent

Restaurant was really outstanding - the meals were very delicious and the way food was served deserves the michelin star. The breakfast was perfect as well. Not cheap but worth every cent.

Cons: No bedroom slippers available you had to buy a package for €66 It would be great to leave a pair of slippers in the room for free like every hotel
7.5 Good
Pros: Wonderfully restored historic hotel in the very heart of the cosy mountain village Castelrotto. We loved the minimalistic style combined with the cosyness, warmth and comfort of a true mountain resort hotel. The architect is a genius!!! The suite room was pretty small but hat a fantastic view (and balcony) facing the main square with the church. We loved our room: The beds and down duvets were super comfortable, the furniture exquisite, the colors, fabrics and materials were just perfect. The wellness area is one of most beautiful we have ever seen, it is not too big (fits the size of the hotel), but everything is spot on. The views from there are amazing in all directions - we actually did not want to leave this heaven of peace and relaxation.
Cons: as much as we loved the structure and amenities of this place, we were disappointed about the entire service, especially in the restaurant. Given the pretty high price (we paid much less via booking, compared to the quote when we called them), we would have expected impeccable service throughout the entire structure. The welcoming in the restaurant was pretty disturbing: the restaurant manager told us that we only had breakfast included so they don't have a table for us -- when pointing out that we booked half board, they told us that this is impossible as we reserved through booking.com; we actually had to prove that we had half board, and it took some embarrassing time standing there, the unwanted guests..... Same story next day at breakfast, no table prepared for us, and the selection of the breakfast - given that this was supposed to be almost a gourmet restaurant - was disappointing. There was no bread selection at all (as in the evening), and the rest was pretty standard for a 4*S resort (we have seen much better in the same area). Quality of food (esp. at dinner) was as expected, but if you want to eat big portions, better order from the standard menu... (they serve typical south Tyrollean dishes on request, very good)... overall we found that we missed the feeling that this is a privately owned and managed structure. WE never saw the owner, which is unusual for those kind of boutique hotels in the Alpine region. Also the girls at the reception were not really informed (although very kind), they sent us with the car into the next villages to rent bikes, while the entire town is full of excellent rentals... so - if they get their Services up to the level of the structure, they will get 5* from us...

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great and the spa was fabulous. Excellent choice of food at breakfast. The rooms were bright and spacious.
Cons: Vegetarian options at dinner would be appreciated.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This was our third visit to this hotel, and we had a very pleasant stay. Very clean, helpful staff, excellent service and very good food. The very best part is the rooftop pool where we spent our afternoon with bathing and drinks in the h sunshine. We went walking every day and Kastelruth is very well connected with Seiser Alm and Val Gardena by buses. We can really recommend this hotel.
Cons: Wifi is slow.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was a very nice property! Wonderful breakfast Buffett!!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and nice. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, specially the young lady in reception and the lady in the breakfast service. The SPA was sooo good (if you do not mind being naked in front of other people). The terrace pool was a nice perk. I was very impressed with the breakfast selection, one of the best selections of fruits, breads and cereals and really nice coffee.
Cons: I did not find the bed very comfy but might be my personal taste. It is a expensive hotel however you get excellent service and perks like a cake buffet, so I guess you get what you are paying for.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: New(ish) property. Nice rooftop pool, good restaurant and beautiful bar. Front Office staff was very friendly, restaurant staff could have been a bit more attentive.
Cons: Due to the location of the property, the views are limited. Our (upgraded) room faced a supermarket, that started to receive truck deliveries at 7am each morning.
6.0 Good
Pros: The position, the building and hotel facilities are superb. The roof top swimming pool is great! Surrounding area is a pearl on the mountains. The little village of Castelrotto is very pleasant.
Cons: Just a little advice for guests. We had to pay for toll-free numbers calls (sic!), it's about 50 Euro cents/minute from room. Should you leave the hotel before end of booking, you'll be requested to pay the full stay. Clean room but not super-shining.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We love everything about this hotel. It is clean, the food in the restaurant is amazing, the staff is very friendly and accommodating, the views are breath taking and the rooms are perfect.
Cons: Not a thing. We have stayed here before and will keep coming back. We miss it already.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The food was great, the SPA area was beautiful. The room was clean and had everything we needed even though ours was very small.
Cons: Since it's a romantic hotel I believe that it should be adult only hotel. The relaxing room by the inner pool was not so much relaxing when there were children playing and screaming (not blaming the children, that's what they do). That's my only complaint.

7.9 Good
Pros: Newly refurbished room SPA area Close to ski area
Cons: Food
4.2 Okay
Cons: Very expensive for what it was. Not luxurious but pretentious, sad staff. Run like a business hotel, no atmosphere and everything was extra.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent with great bus connections. Room and furniture good and clean.
Cons: Service in the breakfast room was partly chaotic - depending on the waiter / waitress. Getting new towels from the room service was a mess but the reception helped out very professionally. Wellness treatment center needs improvement.
7.9 Good
Pros: - the hotel has been recently renewed - the position of hotel is very close to ski area (2-3 km)
Cons: - dinner food was average - buffet not properly managed especially if you arrive late - staff not really informed about the food they are serving
9.0 Excellent
Pros: very good dinners, room was clean. The sauna area is very good with variety of different type of saunas. It also really nice that you can do the hike from the hotel using nearby trails (highly recommended to see Fie lake)
Cons: Dinners were great but breakfasts can be improved: - every day is exactly the same set of stuff (scramble eggs, bacon) - around 7:30 - 8:30am a lot of people are waiting for coffee: you need to wait for waiter to order a coffee and than wait when it is prepared and served for you. Probably better idea will be to have just automated express machine
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent facility Warm ambient Good for family
Cons: Water not hot enough: shower and toilet as well as temperature of jacuzzi bathtub.

Pros: This is an outstanding facility. I was recently (Nov 6th, 2019) on my way up from the Sud Tyrol going to Innsbruck for a flight back to the US. I really didn't want to rush to Innsbruck so I decided to try out Hotel Bischofhof for a night. The hotel was but a 5-10min walk from the Chiusa/Klausen Bahnhof; it was very convenient for train travel (or bus, the station is near-by). My room was fantastic. It's all new & contemporary styling. Wish my bedroom in my house was like this one. And it all was very clean like never used. It was quiet that night and the bed was perfect for my lower back problem; it was firm but not hard or "dished". Slept very well. Next morning I had a light breakfast and walked back to the train station with my load & caught a train headed to Innsbruck.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was always kept clean. The quality of the food served at breakfast was good. The hotel does offer good value for money.
Cons: The room was tiny! We barely had enough room to open our suitcase. Breakfast was nice, but it wasn't being replenished as the breakfast went along, we're late risers and every time we got to breakfast many of the dishes were nearly empty. The location was a disappointment as the hotel is very close to a busy motorway, making it far less quiet and remote than we had gathered from the pictures.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely hotel, 10 minutes walk from the center of Chiusa, with appealing modern bedrooms and spacious well equipped bathrooms. The breakfast is extremely generous and of superb quality. Staff could not be more pleasant and helpful. Would relish the opportunity to try dinner at the Michelin rated restaurant in the hotel
Cons: My stay was too short. Can easily see returning for a longer stay to enjoy the mountains and Chiusa.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel and it’s Staff were excellent. The breakfasts were outstanding. Great location for exploring this spectacular part of the Dolomites. Good proximity with respect to the town Centre.
Cons: Being under the Autostrada was a bit of a downer although the noise from it was minor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It had a bed and breakfast feel. The happy hour was more like a sit down meal. Great service!
Cons: Could hear the train from our open window but wasn’t too big of a deal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was exceptional in every way. We loved everything. Well located, a 5 minute walk to the town center. Very clean Nice linens and towels and a very luxurious shower. Excellent breakfast with a large choice A swimming pool, 12 meters, which gave great respite from the heat. It was very comfortable and our rooms , Deluxe and Superior, were very spacious, with a great terrace and comfortable armchairs to relax in. The train tracks were nearby but the trains did not disturb us. Attention to detail and comfort. Friendly staff, Marlis, the owner along with her family, were delightful and very attentive to the needs of their guests. I have stayed in many hotels and this is one of the best . The owners know how to run a hotel efficiently.
Cons: It states very clearly on the hotel website that there is no AC, this region is not used to these new temperatures that Northern Europe is being subjected to. None of the restaurants or shops in Klausen were equipped either. This is something that might need to be considered if global warming continues. Marlis, however, gave us a very high tech fan which helped us keep cool when the heat was extreme the first two days. Thankyou for a wonderful stay. You made It special!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very stylish , clean, very helpful staff. Pool was wonderfully refreshing after a long drive, breakfast was perfect, with good variety .
Cons: It took us a bit of effort to find it, but that’s our problem, not theirs. I don’t think that changes our impression
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I already wrote a review for this hotel but it does not appear on the site and since we had such a great stay we felt it was necessary to say that everything was just perfect . Comfortable, clean , lovely breakfast and lovely staff. Marlis and her family know how to run a hotel
Cons: The hotel does not have AC but that is because they are not used to these hot temperatures and they have never needed it before. None of the restaurants or shops in Chiusa have AC either . Marlis gave us a very efficient fan which kept us cool the first two days which were unusually hot . Nothing negative to say.

Pros: One of the most beautiful apartments in Europe

Pros: Great location, lovely staff, very nice breakfast, amazing dinner. I definitely would like to stay here again!
Cons: Sauna is available only between 15:00-18:00. Would be great if it was extended to also evenings

Pros: Perfect hotel deserving one more star. Nice staff, very comfortable rooms with breathtaking view on Dolomites. Superb spa area with 2 sauna and cosy swimming pool. Very reach (even too much:) dinners and fine, family atmosphere. We will certainly return here one day :)
Cons: The only small thing to improve would be covered corridor between new and old part of the hotel. But it is not a big issue, indeed.
