Visby hotels near Gotlands Art Museum

Pros: We had an amazing stay there, the room was very comfy, and the breakfast buffet very nice.

Pros: Front-desk staff needed to be called in separately but their service was superb, The breakfast was original and cute, many small portions of different breakfast delights and all very fresh and healthy. A fantastic bed and good night sleep,

Cons: The baby crib was not suitable for a one year old or younger baby (mattress was of poor quality and it bent onto the baby's face), and as we mentioned this upon leaving the staff promised to fix the issue,

Pros: Great location. Very cosy small hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms. Super breakfast. And a very service minded staff. Felt personal and genuine.

Cons: Cold in room on arrival/ fixed the warming system ourselves. Had to ask for extra blankets. Not a “proper” classical hotel= no bar, no real lobby, no personnel at night. Strictly modernistic Nordic Chic kind of design. Could use a little warmer touch. Bed in our room with a sea view could be placed higher up from the floor - the visibility of the sea was none from the bed. Could be adjusted by placing the bed on “extra legs”.

Pros: Amazingly friendly staff that welcomed us by first name! Kindness is something that makes traveling memorable. Location is perfect walking distance to the ferry and a few steps to the historic town center. The room was spotless and super comfortable. The room is small, but we only stayed one night so it felt cozy and not cramped.

Pros: We liked the atmosphere, the very respectful and friendly gentleman and the lady who helped us multiple times patiently with recommendations about restaurants and places to visit.

Cons: We were recommended to rent a car from Mickes biluthyrning, but the woman at this office was very rude. She never asked what kind of car we want she just gave us the key to a car which later we found it to be very old and uncomfortable. It was strange that she did not ask us what kind of car we want!!! We paid 450SEK for one day for the car ( which is a normal price apparently in Gotland) and the next day when we arrived only 2 hours late to leave the keys to this lady she was very rude and angry and she charged us with 200SEK extra for 2 hours of delay. By this experience I would not recommend you to rent from Mickes office, there are other car rentals around, maybe you get a better service with them! Haa det bra och tack!

Pros: The hotel was closed for the holiday season, so we were transfered to BW Strand Hotel. Breakfast was good and the receptionists very helpful.

Cons: The room was dated, dusty and didn’t look clean overall. The carpeted floors didn’t help

Cons: The breakfast was good but there were two bus trips also staying at the hotel and the staff were slow to fill up the food as it ran out. The hallways are in need of refurbishment.

Pros: Good facilities in the room. The hotel is quiet old, but well equiped and managed. Planty breakfast. Inner old town in 50 meters. 5 mins to ferry.

Pros: Nice, varied breakfast with extra strong and good coffee. A variety of fresh cheeses and charcuterie and lots of organic options.

Cons: Check-in instructions were sent by mail, as reception closed at 17. Personal check out was not possible either, as the receptionist were 'not on duty' that day. The lack of personnel is not just a matter of poor welcome, but also a security issue - no one greeted us at the breakfast or checked whether we were indeed guests of the hotel. Other security hazards included a window 5 meters above street level with no security lock, very dim lighting on the corridors, no closing of the main entrance during the day with no staffed reception. The room was clean, smaller and less classy than the pictures on the website suggested. It was furnished with eclectic and not housekeeping-friendly furniture; much of them were dusty and/or with minor flaws/spots. The shower installations were already damaged, despite of the hotel just opened recently. The dining room decoration mixed everything from baroque frescoes and disco-spheres on the ceiling with bucolic porcelain figurines and dark brown leather sofas - comfortable and clean, but giving a very dark and unsettling impression.

Pros: We really enjoyed the decor and the staff arranged for our laundry to be done free of charge. Breakfast was delicious.

Pros: This hotel has great location, nice interior and good breakfasts. The room was clean, with good toileters. Also it was very warm and quiet in the room, even though it was pretty windy outside.

Pros: Everything else. This review is for the Hotel Breda Blick though, we were transferred from Hotel Gute prior to our arrival. Very happy overall and especially with the staff helpfulness.

Cons: No lift and we were in the roof space. The rooms were great but the stairs were a problem for my husband.
