The Mayflower Hotel Autograph collection is located in downtown Washington D.C. The hotel has 581 guest rooms and suites and is in the heart of the city. There are eight types of rooms at the hotel. The rooms in this four-star hotel feature plush bedding, high-end bath products, and a nice color palette of warm grays, and jeweled tones. There are cityscape views and upgraded bathrooms and a private terrace.

The rooms are eclectic, and the grays make them look almost mechanical. The amenities of the rooms are much like a nice apartment, but fancier. The luxury suites have two bedrooms, both with King size beds. While staying at the Mayflower Hotel Autograph Collection, tourists are invited to check out the city and the history behind it.

The hotel is located close to the National Mall, the White House, the Smithsonian museums, Capital One Arena, and the homes of NBA, NHL, WNBA teams. There are bike trails around, parks, and event venues. There is never a boring moment.

Hotel offered valet parking but when I arrived to hotel no one was available at the front of hotel but taxies were parked. I pulled other side of the hotel to get in touch with the hotel staff/front desk, was told to pull up in front of the hotel for valet parking. Cons (-) No hot water each morning. I am a platinum elite Marriott member. Received $10 voucher for the bar/restaurant. They had a private party in the restaurant so I wasn't allowed to use voucher. The temporary replacement bar wouldn't accept tbe voucher either.

Pros (+) Hotel is nice and feels higher end, not cheap.
Cons (-) our room was near the elevator and we could hear it ding every time it came to our floor, people were very noisy in the hallways which you could also hear in the rooms.

Pros (+) Great location (close to the metro and the mall). The staff was very helpful, and cribs are available to use if you have small children. Overall, the room was comfortable and nice.

Pros (+) We absolutely loved our stay at The Mayflower. My husband and I were there to renew our vows on our anniversary and the staff were extremely welcoming, making sure our room was ready several hours before normal heck-in hours so that we could get dressed and off to the ceremony in time. I can't think of a single thing that was less than exemplary- the loveliest hotel in DC!
