8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location near the airport. Modern, clean facility
Cons: Nothing really negative. We will probably stay there again in the future
5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast options are great. Most of the staff is attentive and friendly. Location isn't bad- located next the the freeway, so easy access though I was driving to Davis dailt.
Cons: I checked in at midnight on a Monday at one rate and the rates went up $30/night. This was a ridiculous increase in price considering there were no more guests later in the week and I am a a member of the rewards program. I was also not offered a free water or anything extra with my stay which I have been in the past.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We've stayed here twice. Front desk was very nice and helpful, as was all staff. Rooms clean and comfortable. Very accessable off interstate. Great hot tub and pool.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good location - right on the driveway Good breakfast with some hot food options as well
Cons: Noise from the highways
9.5 Excellent
Pros: How clean it was.
Cons: They let me check in early. A+
8.8 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: new looking, very clean. The staff went out of their way to accommodate. It was lovely!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean & close to airport
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Our room over looked the side roof and drains. No view and the dripping water from rain all night kept us awake. Would ask for a different location next time.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff are incredible! Selena and Alex were very accommodating. The hotel is newer and clean. Rooms were quiet and beds very comfy. Good sized shower with Paul Mitchell products.
Cons: Slight freeway noise on one side of hotel. Food at buffet was mediocre(but it’s included, so can’t complain too much).

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was convenient. Breakfast was good.
Cons: air conditioning too noisy
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Hotel was under construction. I was not told while booking until the night before check in(to late to cancel). Had to carry our bags up the strairs which had no cover from the rain and almost slipped. Had some trouble finding the temporay entrance due to the construction (it was a small house with no signs you could read at night and especially in the rain and not connected to the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Even when they were doing improvements at the facilities I felt so comfortable, breakfast was more than I expected. Personnel were so kind and willing to help.... :)
6.8 Good
Pros: The location was excellent - an easy walk to everything downtown Davis and close to the arboretum entrance.
Cons: Other than the location, this was an average motor inn. I don't understand how it has such good reviews - unless the separate cottages are truly special. When we were there, the lobby was under construction, the work-out room was closed, and the stairwells were blocked off, requiring us to walk through the whole building instead of having easy access to our room from the parking lot. We never saw an elevator, so inquire if you need one and are placed on the second floor. The room itself was average. Clean, but nothing special. Plan to wear the ear plugs to sleep - there is a lot of noise from traffic, the train, and the room heater was the loudest I've ever heard!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location to UC Davis and downtown Davis.
Cons: The staircase to the 2nd floor had visible dirt on the stairs that was there both days I was there. Not a trace a dirt, but dirt from deeply treaded shoes that came off when climbing the staircase.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Aggie Inn was great! The decor was very nice and the room exceptionally clean. There were lots of pillows on the bed too. The complimentary breakfast was a great value. We enjoyed the eggs, bacon, sausage and waffles. Yogurt, cereals, pastries and fruit were also included. The location was excellent, just a block away from the UC Davis campus. It was a short walk to all the restaurants in downtown Davis. I highly recommend the Aggie Inn!
Cons: The floor air conditioner was too close to the second bed. It was too cold to sleep on that side of the bed.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean accommodations and convenient location. Rooms were quiet.
Cons: Lots of remodeling of outside that made it impossible to enter directly into hotel. Had to use outside stairway and unfortunately it rained constantly during out stay. Also very limited parking available on weekend. It was extremely difficult to maneuver into the one remaining tight space...in the pouring rain again. No problem parking during the week though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Right next to campus & downtown.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: There was a good selection of items to eat for the breakfast, but the room in which it is served is very small and there were not many tables. It is difficult to move around once you have served yourself and I had to go away and then come back when there was a place to sit.
Cons: See above. The room was fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place with good breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: newly renovated with higher end finishes than you would expect for the price point, adequate breakfast, good location in town
Cons: still undergoing renovations to the property so it is not as visually pleasing outside as it will presumably will be
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to UC Davis was great and they provided free bikes! There’s only a few available, so if you’re interested, request ahead of time. Staff was super friendly and helpful and the property is clean and tidy.
Cons: The noise from doors to the outside of building impacted the doors of the room we stayed in, causing considerable noise. The breakfast room was extremely cramped and it was hard to walk around without bumping into another person’s chair. It was very awkwardly configured.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Although it is next to a freeway, there are many trees and landscaping that creates a park like atmosphere. The entire property is clean and well maintained. The pool area was wonderful for morning breakfast and reading.
Cons: The only negative was that Direct TV had very few channel options except for a multitude of info commercial channels! Evening TV watching was not very entertaining.

Cons: Curtains in room didn't close all the way. Light was coming through window.

Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: A little out dated
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It was in a very convenient location. It provided a breakfast buffet.
Cons: I had a mostly empty toilet paper roll. They would not replace it when they cleaned the room. The light switch to the bathroom was placed in an awkward place. The male worker to set up breakfast on Monday had to be asked to restock food and supplies.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to UC Davis for the price
1.0 Poor
Pros: It is a good location, close to UC Davis, and it was a decent price.
Cons: It is fairly dated and the water heater was not working in my bathroom...shower didn't heat up and shower pressure was awful.

Pros: Most efficient check in and check out ever! Very friendly, too.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so friendly and helpful. We stayed 5 nights and so got to know them through various discussions. From recommendations of what to see and do, restaurants, and more to helping with a room move to a less busy area of the hotel, we were well looked after. The cleaning staff was very considerate and kind also. Breakfast was good with eggs and meat every day, waffles and oatmeal, yogurt and rolls, cereal and fruit. Always good coffee and tea available, as well as fruit. The bed was super comfy and when our son stayed one night, they came up with bedding for the sofa so quickly. Hanging out by the pool was nice and cool and never too crowded. And dog friendly!!
Cons: Really we had everything we needed. I liked it all. My only issue was not understanding how the TV worked with cable and all the channels.

Cons: No elevator near our room
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Left before breakfast but they had good coffee and a few other things out
4.3 Okay
Pros: The room was clean and had a coffee machine.
Cons: HORRIBLE location between a freeway on and off ramp. WAY overpriced. This is a MOTEL, not a hotel, and a 2 star, not a 3 star. Whoever rated this never stayed or visited this spot. The booking.com picture is cute, but no idea where it came from. Service ranged from surly to unhelpful. Breakfast was truly a nutritional horror.
4.0 Okay
Cons: Room did not have shampoo and conditioner. There were instead two empty shampoo bottles indicating cleaning staff inattentive. Also Kleenex dispenser was low and ran out next morning with no replacement box in room.

Pros: The staff was very accommodating and helpful , very personable and willing to make your stay as stressed free as possible !

6.3 Good
Pros: The location was great. It was near campus and next to many of the things we wanted to do. It also had parking, which is a bonus.
Cons: I think we paid a premium price for a hotel that was currently under construction. I would have expected a more competitive price based on the work being done.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Staff was super helpful and aired my room. I get migraines and the aired room didn't bother me. The location was perfect to park and walk, or ride bikes, all over Davis and the campus. We window shopped and had a huge selection of restaurants and coffee shops. We brought our road bikes, and the elevator accommodated two of us well and was super convenient in relation to car, lobby, and room. Decor was light and tasteful. Lobby was neat with art exhibition. Breakfast was fantastic.Good coffee. Bee Kind products (though I couldn't use them due to scent). The train was no bother. AC worked great. Fridge, microwave, plus a Keurig were useful and clean. Loved keeping car out of sun in their parking garage.
Cons: Carpet issues - I stepped in something soapy/sticky in my socks, and there were a few dirt spots a good steam cleaning would fix. The sheets would be soft if it weren't for the slight beading, though it didn't keep me from sleeping well.
7.5 Good
Pros: very clean and spacious room, recently renovated. good and easy parking access
Cons: breakfast (super limited) and the fact that the downstairs area was under renovation which made it all look a little funny though I understand this was temporary. One thing people might wish to know is that it is quite close to a railway so one hears trains passing by during night
7.0 Good
Pros: Undergoing renovations, so hard to say what it will look like when it’s done. The location is wonderful B
Cons: The bed and pillows were not as comfortable as I would expect at this price.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Location, friendly and helpful staff. Clean room, comfy bed, fan in bathroom.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and accommodating. We were given one drink voucher each to use next door at an excellent restaurant, Seasons, for the inconvenience of the ongoing construction (saws being used, electrical cords everywhere). The cords were cleaned up at the end of the construction day time. The location was excellent, perfectly situated downtown. Across from a movie theater, next to Seasons restaurant and within walking distance to Starbucks. Very nice out door patio area where we lounged for at least an hour before dinner. The breakfast area and what we believed will become a bar area are spacious with plenty of seating. Overall this is a very nice property. If they address the small issues immediately it will be great! Onsite parking was a bonus. They were phasing from being Hallmark Inn, UC Davis to a Hilton Garden Inn the actual day we arrived. As we were only staying one night they required payment before five p.m. when I believe they would technically become a Hilton property. Sadly two of us in our group are Hilton members so we were sad that no points were acquired for our stay. It was also great to witness how the bare breakfast area was put together by the time we woke up-impressive. We appreciated the free breakfast. Water wasn't hot enough to make the instant oatmeal, eggs were rubbery, the waffle batter ran out quickly but the staff quickly addressed each thing brought to their attention. I believe it is offered until June 30, 2019 until they work the "kinks" out.
Cons: They are still under construction. The hotel lobby smelled of glue and toxic product. The bed my Mother was in, while comfortable, sounded like old, squeaky mattress springs when she climbed into it! She's not a large person and only her bed did this! The toilet did not have a strong enough flush. I can see plumbing issues in the future if this isn't addressed. The lighting next to the entry is motion detected. When anyone got up to go to use the bathroom during the night it was as if floodlights were turned on and it woke each of us still sleeping. There needs to be an OFF switch for the light mechanism. Same for the bathroom. The mini fridge doesn't seem to have a cabinet large enough for it to get air around it. It was extremely hot around the cabinet when we opened it, possibly the mini fridge runs warmer than most. Either way this could become a problem.
6.8 Good
Pros: Clean, newly remodeled room
Cons: No ice machine in my building. I had to walk outside and to entirely different building. They also removed the pool which is weird since Davis gets in the 100’s easily, in spring, summer and early fall.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel is under construction. Phones, toilet, and shower did not function. Most staff were wonderful. They comped the room due to all the issues, without us having to ask. Really should have closed the hotel during construction.
6.8 Good
Pros: Room was brand new- super clean and comfy bed. Great location- walking distance to many restaurants/activities in Downtown Davis.
Cons: The hotel was under construction, which I learned after booking my non cancellation reservation. It no longer had a pool, breakfast or bar. Wish I would have known this before I booked.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and large. The gym was really good for a hotel. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The breakfast layout was tasty with a fair amount of variety.
Cons: They didn’t have a smart TV which kind of killed our vibe with the kids at night (no Netflix!!)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location with very helpful staff who set up my next Amtrak ticket etc to Ventura, CA
Cons: I don't know. I hadn't been to Davis for years--had attended college there, worked at the University Library etc. and lived there when I had my children at Woodland.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We were very pleased with the complimentary breakfast: everything from freshly made waffles to custom omlettes.
Cons: Train tracks are close and that will bother some, but not our family
6.0 Good
Pros: The large size room and the breakfast.
Cons: Everything was just fine.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The downtown Davis location is great, although too close to the railroad! The cocktail hour and the breakfast are nice.
Cons: The parking situation is tough. We had to park in public parking, and were very lucky to find a spot there.

Overview Reviews
Located in California, this motel is a 10-minute drive from the Sacramento Zoo. Vince’s Ristorante is on site and guest rooms include free Wi-Fi and cable TV. A microwave and a refrigerator are in each traditionally styled guest room at Vince’s Motel. Each room is decorated in pastel colors and includes air conditioning. The on-site family owned restaurant serves Italian cuisine. Karaoke is available in the restaurant. An on-site bakery serves fresh Mexican pastries and donuts in the morning as well as freshly brewed coffee. Sacramento International Airport is 12.9 miles from Motel Vince. Raley Field, home to the Sacramento River Cats baseball team, is 2.5 miles away.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Vinces Restaurant was on site. Rustic Mexican Bakery on front of property. Room was clean.
Cons: No amenities to speak of...shampoo/hair conditioner 'samples,' no hair dryer, they are very sparing with towels. I guess there is housekeeping service if you ask for it otherwise no one comes into your room....which is ok for us. Handicap and nonsmoking rooms all upstairs with no elevator made it difficult to get to.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good food at the restaurant next door attached to motel, shower tall enough for me :-) refrigerator microwave and room was clean.
Cons: Bed could be a little more comfortable.. a couple of burn holes in comforter look like cigarette Burns, smelled a little musty.
7.0 Good
Pros: Clean
Cons: No closet area and no lamp by the bed area.
5.1 Okay
Pros: Staff was efficient, friendly and helpful. Midnight check-in was not a problem.
Cons: The room smelled heavily of mold and dust. The photo on the website is deceptive - the room isn't that nice. My shower wouldn't stop leaking, which probably contributed to the smell. It's a dive, but it's right by the freeway and I've stayed in worse places.
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff was very nice. AC worked well after a very hot day. Room was fairly clean (despite minor exceptions indicated below), was smoke free, and most importantly was quiet. I just needed a place to sleep well, and the bed was nice. Seems like an older motel that has been refreshed a bit.
Cons: Big cockroach on the bathroom floor, but at least it was dead. An olive from a pizza on the floor, but probably just missed in vacuuming; floor was pretty clean otherwise. The general area was a bit sketchy, but didn't really feel unsafe.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Right next to a nice Italian restaurant. Excellent value for money and CLEAN. We stayed at another bigger hotel nearby that was dirty it made our skin crawl. This was a pleasant change.
Cons: An older motel. Few amenities. A microwave and a fridge but no cups or crockery. No chest of drawers. But very clean and value for money.
6.3 Good
Pros: Plenty of food etc. around...
Cons: Room was very dated and smelled as so...

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything within the room was great. I enjoyed every moment
Cons: None
6.0 Good
Pros: Ground floor
Cons: The room had ants that got into the bed during the night and across the carpeted floor. I also did not like the maid taking food from the trash I threw away to keep. It was gross though I am sure it looked good to her.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very kind and efficient. The room was well stocked with plenty of thick white towels. Bed nice and comfy. Only downside was the noisy guests in the room next door who stayed up till 1:00 am. But a white noise app helped disguise it.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: Extremely small rooms.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff
4.5 Okay
Pros: Breakfast surprisingly good
Cons: Very run down. Small (queen) bed sagged terribly — no excuse for this in a world of $200 foam mattresses. General feel of room is that someone died in it (at least once).

Pros: They allowed us to check in 3 hours early. There was a hot breakfast.
8.0 Excellent

Pros: Front desk reception, upon arrival, was excellent! She was professional, courteous, and very pleasant.

4.5 Okay
Pros: The location is close to the freeway. Breakfast had bagel, hard boiled egg, cereal, waffles, toast, juice, 2% milk and coffee.
Cons: It smells so bad! We stayed on the second floor. The first floor smell like old wet clothes. Then the stairway room/ entrance to the floors have a different stink. Then the second floor smells like someone cleaned it with cologne. Lastly our room also smelled so bad it was hard to sleep. Lucky the linens didn’t stink so I was able to bury my head in the pillow and get a few hours of sleep before I had to hit the road again. The smells were so bad I almost would have found a new room but didn’t want to wast the money. After waking up I did everything to leave ASAP. Not even going to use the tub of shower because it looks like it need a deep cleaning. This place is disgusting. The need looks slept in. Mind you I hadn’t.

Pros: This is an older motel that is kept up and refurbished. It is clean, inexpensive and right on the main road of town. I stay here a few times a year as I am heading to Oregon/Washington.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Customer service
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice and extremely clean. Shower was strong and the bed was very comfortable. The surroundings were very quiet and it made it easy to sleep well. Very nice place to stay. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. No breakfast served here but everything else was spot on.
Cons: It would have been nice to have some breakfast eats. The bathroom lavatory faucet was backwards - hot on the right, cold on the left. Not a big deal but worth mentioning.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean and neat.
Cons: The washcloth was threadbare. There was no hair dryer.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: I barely walk into the main office and the Indian lady starts yelling at me asking, "What are you doing here?!?!" I calmly tell her I was there to check in. She then condescendly replies with, "Didn't you read the sign?!?!" While pointing to a piece of printer paper that had 12 pt font that I couldn't even read from the door way I was standing in. She then continues to say to me rudely, "Check in is at 3pm!!!" It's 9:30am at this point. I fell her I had no recognition of this and that the person I booked my room with 30 min prior told me nothing about check in times. She then angrily says, "Well are you gonna just wait around here until then with all your stuff?!" Then I tell her how rude she is being towards me and that she has lost a customer and I will be taking my business elsewhere. WHAT A RUDE WAY TO RUN YOUR MOTEL!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: For the price this was a good value. It was very clean, the beds comfortable and my non-smoking room actually smelled like no one had smoked in it. I would stay again.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Couch in room was torn with cigarette burns and very smoky. When I walked in it was very hot heat was on.
Cons: The room or the area it was in.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Price was very good.
Cons: Construction on Main Street made detour necessary to get into property.

Pros: Down pills that are extremely comfortable. Same with the mattress. I also appreciate having a thermostat controlled room.
Cons: The hotel is under renovations right now, which made the lobby look like, well, a construction zone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanliness, up-to-date / modern, nice staff, good coffee, ice makers on every floor, close good restaurants (Vince's) and a gas station with a car wash and shop, just all around a wonderful place.
Cons: I hope they bring back the warm cookies as soon as they are done with remodel. That's kind of a high point of my day.
6.8 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: No pool and under construction
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was amazingly helpful. When I had to add a third night to my stay, the desk clerk allowed me to book that night through Booking.com and then made sure we got to keep the same room, meaning we didn't have to move all our stuff.
Cons: Laundry machines were in the basement garage, out of sight. It was cold outside and that cold came right in. The machines could have used a little attention as well (cleaning, maintenance).
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy in and out of smaller scale motel.
Cons: Sounds silly, but self closing bathroom door was always in the way!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Should have told someone that they are renovating

Pros: Even though they were undergoing construction, the facilities were clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We usually stay in the city of Davis, but this proved to be a nice alternative. Would recommend.
