Overview
On the Long Sands Beach in York Beach Maine, the Sunrise Motel offers 25 guest rooms. The two miles of the beach allows guests to enjoy the summer rays while still enjoying the sunsets even in the winters. Hiking and cross country skiing are common for guests to enjoy during the cooler months where the beach sands are nearly frozen.
The three floors offer Deluxe Ocean View Rooms with a fridge and microwaves for guest usage. There are also Studio Suites with a butler kitchen or kitchenettes. All guest rooms have free hi-speed Internet access, heat, and air conditioning, flat-screen TV with cable, phones and in-room coffee makers.
All Deluxe rooms have either a single king-size bed or two double beds. Two suites have a second bedroom or a deck for guests to relax. Suites with Butler kitchens do not have stovetops. Some have loveseats for additional seating.
The Sunrise Motel offers special packages. During the month of July, the Dog Days of Summer package allows guests to take 20% off when mentioning the special during booking. During the Christmas Season, the Motel runs their Toys for Tots drive. Guests who bring a stuffed stocking with them receive a discount on a single day stay. Those who stay two nights and bring two stuffed stockings receive an additional discount. The Toys for Tots campaign is aimed at teens aged 12 – 17 years old; stocking should be stuffed with clothes, hats, toiletries, and gift cards. Guests should mention the package when booking.
