10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect weekend getaway just a short drive from Boston. The ideal place to stay if you have kids. Pools, beaches, resteraunts, you name it! We had a blast and will definitely be back!!!
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Location, location, location...and service:)
Cons: It's incredibly out of date, but adorable nonetheless, or maybe because of it.
5.7 Okay
Pros: I liked the location and I prefer this resort during the winter. We were given a closer room to the indoor pool which was nice. employees were very nice and the room was very nice and clean, very comfortable. Great value for the money spent on the room.
Cons: There were too many kids, and they were highly unsupervised jumping around, splashing us in the hot tub and horseplay. Apparently they only have one legal bartender and she was on maternity leave so none of the staff could sell us liquor so we went for beers only. Our room lock broke and we were locked out when we returned from the pool and it was snowing. We waited for the maintenance to open it which was fast and then we had to switch rooms around 9:30pm. All together I liked our visit but it was better the first time.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location, price
Cons: noisy rooms, thin walls.. Not good for sleeping in.
6.0 Good
Pros: I loved being able to walk the beach without crowding of people and my balcony view was relaxing as I was able to hear the waves all night.
Cons: I didn't like the fact I had to clean the refrigerator top as the ice tray was stuck to it and coffee was all over the ice tray. The toilet was sprayed but not cleaned. I wanted so badly to relax and take a bath, but the tub had not been cleaned and there was a white film ring around it. I am also glad I am not allergic to mold, as above the tub area there was an abundance of black mold. These areas may seem fine for others, however, I really needed some "Time off" from having to clean. Maybe if the hotel was busy and the cleaning crew was limited on time, but this was off season and not busy at all.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were not big but they were cozy, functional and clean. The access to the beach and the views were wonderful. We were there offl season and it was quiet. Very good room for the price paid. Enjoyable and the location is the best.
Cons: The ocean view entry door and large ocean view window opened on to the access balcony so other guest are walking by your door and window. Definitely opt for the $ upcharge for the 2nd or 3rd floor; otherwise you will be looking directly into parked cars. But the ocean and beach are 100 yards away and that is where we wanted to be.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The balcony and sea view are pure therapy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ocean across the street extremely clean
Cons: I only thing I can say is that only one of the wall plugs worked. The 2nd one didn’t on all the plug’s in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It had a great ocean view, clean room, and nice, professional employees!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a getaway for my birthday from my boyfriend, it was so beautiful. It is off season so none of the stores in town were open, but that was ok. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The hotel staff was great! The rooms were very clean. The pub was average. We went during the week so The Grill was not open and there was no breakfast served. Maybe they could at least do a continental breakfast?!
Cons: Not having breakfast served during the week. Maybe just offer danish or muffins.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Room was amazing, hotels are stylish and clean, and the staff are wonderful!
Cons: No vending machines or food options in meeting house building.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Lawn across street from hotel had adirondacks and lounge chairs to take in the picturesque view from above rocks overlooking cove, with partial view of ocean. the side yard to hotel property was lovely for outdoor wedding but also surrounded on two sides by the road and another by driveway. Off season this was a quiet and nice location but since road wrapping around property is public access and offers free views I cannot imagine it feeling private in season. i would not want to stay there with young children, the beach is a stones throw away (literally) but too far to watch them from above, and nothing to do for kids at the hotel--and yard also is. It family frienlru imho. However for couples this is a plus! Friendly and helpful staff and charming restaurant are additional positives.

Overview Reviews
When you stay at Stones Throw in York, you'll be on the beach, within a 15-minute drive of Ogunquit Beach and Perkins Cove. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unbeatable views and location. On-site restaurant was excellent. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Hated to leave, cannot wait to go back.
Cons: I'd like the ability to better privatize the balcony. Maybe some kind of curtain or higher walls to provide privacy as desired.
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location. Room was clean.
Cons: Room, everything in the room, was stark white. Walls, bedding, window treatments. Blinds did not keep out light so sleeping in was not possible. No microwave, no phone, no dvd player. Not comparable to other motels/hotels in the same location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very thoughtful amenities. Environmentally conscious. Office personnel very helpful and nice.
Cons: The electrical wires out the window. Restaurant and bar closed while we were there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Check-in was a breeze. The rooms are super cute and clean with a beautiful view (we had the ocean view). The location was excellent. Unfortunately we can during a Nor'easter and much of the power was out at the surrounding businesses so we didn't get to experience the restaurant, but we still enjoyed our stay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely with beautiful sunrises right from your balcony with stunning ocean views
Cons: Everything was great, and watching the sparkling sea and all the tourists and surfers was awesome.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: View
Cons: Lots of steps, but received help with the luggage. Wish they had breakfast in the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was the perfect place to stay if you love being right by the ocean. The room was clean and smelled really good too. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had a nice dinner at the Stones Throw Restaurant too and the general store close by had good Green Mountain coffee. I enjoyed sitting at one of the tables on the front deck both mornings and taking in the sights and sounds of wonderful Long Sands Beach and watching the surfers.
Cons: My only problem was when I was ready to fall asleep at around 11pm, someone in the next room decided to have a fairly loud phone call or conversation! I should have reported it to the office, because it happened the second night too. Very inconsiderate. I had to turn on the bathroom fan for an hour to drown her out.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to the beach. Close to restaurants
Cons: Nothing
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: Property could use updating.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Great location on Short Sands Beach. Friendly, helpful staff. The room was basic but had everything I needed to make my visit comfortable. I felt safe . There was plenty of well lit parking. The hotel was close enough to the water that it was possible to see the sunrise over the ocean from my room- beautiful!
Cons: The only negative thing about this hotel is the nearest parking spots to the rooms are all spots that required expertise in parallel parking. However, later in my stay I discovered the hotel has additional spots in the back of the building that are easier to get into.
7.9 Good
Pros: Loved the king sized pillow top mattress. They also had two different firmness of pillows in our room to choose from. This motel had a heated pool that was actually warm! Cute setting around it, too! The location across the street from the beach was great!
Cons: The soap/shampoo dispenser needed to be replaced. There was water damage evidence in one spot on the ceiling. The air conditioner was noisy.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Not much...……….. great location, free parking near room, fairly comfortable bed.
Cons: Dated property, bathroom small and cramped, mold in bathtub chalking, ceiling paint peeling, outside door to the room does not self lock, no coffee maker, tv outlet connected to room light switch so when you flip the light switch by the door everything except the refrigerator turns off, outlets overloaded with add on plugs, refrigerator noisy, no bedside tables.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was just excellent in every way...staff, facility, location...great time had by all!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was fantastic - right on the beach in a picturesque area. The room was scrupulously clean. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Walls were a bit thin and we could hear conversational rumbling next door. The motel is older - not a problem, just a fact.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Right when I checked in, I had issues with my credit card. (Long story short- my bank locked it on me) but Paul at the front desk was so patient with me ! He let me check in and go to my room so I could call my bank and get my payments sorted out. Thankfully, it was settled quickly but I really appreciated the customer service.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and price.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: The water in the bathroom sink did not work right and the cable service on the tv kept cutting out every few seconds, but other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: A sweet little suite
Cons: It was a little challenging to regulate the heat
4.0 Okay
Pros: The location is very good! There was coffee in the office on my first morning. Second morning the door was locked. I suspect that being there in later October changes things.
Cons: There was no heat in our room either day. The repairs could not be made for a few days and there was no alternative room. The weather was wet and cold. Thankfully we were visiting with family who had a Air B&B house, so we only slept in the room. The comforter on the bed was good, so we slept well, but getting dressed, etc was uncomfortable. We checked out a day early and were given a refund for the unused night. Would find a different place if I stayed in York again.
7.5 Good
Pros: Close to town
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a suite. It had 2 good sized bedrooms and the beds were very comfortable. It had a pull out sofa and a kitchenette that we didn't get to use. The bathroom was roomy and very clean. The whole suite was clean and comfortable. It was a great deal for the price! Happily impressed.
Cons: just a thought--some room darkening shades for the windows that face east would be awesome. I would never complain about the sunrise, but sleeping a bit late was a challenge with the bright sun coming in!

Overview Reviews
When you stay at Atlantic House Inn in York, you'll be in the historical district, within a 15-minute drive of Ogunquit Beach and Perkins Cove. Featured amenities include laundry facilities and an elevator. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Loved the jacuzzi tub, rain shower, and gas fireplace as well as the proximity to the beach.
Cons: The bed was rock hard and very uncomfortable. My husband and I slept horribly because of it. Also the entrance/hall/"lobby" area and elevator stunk really bad, like an old refrigerator that hasnt been cleaned in years - not a good first impression. Additionally there is no parking provided unless you book a suite. Otherwise you have to pay meter parking rates up until 10pm and then again at 8am. We wanted to sleep in but had to run down to feed the meter at 8am.
5.0 Okay
Pros: there was a lot of room in the hotel room
Cons: We booked an ocean view, that we did not get. Not sure at this hotel how you could get an ocean view? We also never once saw a staff person. Our keys were left in a bowl with a note. We understand that it is or was off season, but seriously not one other person!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the King Suite in the Atlantic Inn. Our room was super spacious and met our expectations. The room came furnished with everything that we would need for a pleasant stay. The Atlantic Inn is in a great location and is in the hub of everything. I especially enjoyed the piano bar on the second level of the Inn. It was so much fun. The general manager Dan was super nice and helpful. I would definitely go back.
Cons: Although furnished with a couch and chairs in the living room portion of the room, they are a bit "tired". It wouldn't deter me from renting the room again, but is something that management may want to look into replacing.
6.5 Good
Pros: The shower was great!
Cons: The bed/wall rubbing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We are traveling around Maine so only stayed one night. The bar/restaurant on the second floor was great fun. GM Dan was an awesome host.
Cons: Coffee was the only thing average. (I’m a coffee snob so it probably wasn’t really that bad...)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: In the heart of York Little Sands Beach/Downtown. Easy access to everything. The room was cute. Front door lock and room door lock.
Cons: As with any historic area, things didn't function perfectly, had to play with the door to make sure it locked tightly, the tub drained slowly. Nothing major.
6.5 Good
Pros: off season no breakfast. location is good
Cons: not the room in conformation em, were expecting 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and ocean view, spa bath. got room (1310) 1 bed a bath. rain shower bath, room not cleaned
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Parking not available for this hotel Housekeeper did not refresh the shampoo , coffee etc . Our coffee pot was not emptied or cleaned

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was great
Cons: Everything was great except for the ridiculous cost for parking
5.0 Okay
Pros: very clean & comfortable
Cons: The parking situation was a bit of a surprise. Only on-street (have to feed a meter). The garage is $35 where valet parking is $30. All unexpected. The other surprise was to find a shirtless man already settled into our room. I confirmed our registration online and had the hotel's site pick our room for us. Used the new cellphone key entry feature and there he was in his/our room. We had been traveling most of the day and my husband wasn't feeling well due to a recent stroke. We had to then drag our belongings back downstairs to the front desk where there was only one person on staff handling other visitors and the phones. He was very apologetic and professional. Upgraded our room and free dinner (although I had to walk down to the lounge to get it which was weird). $13 bucks for a glass of wine is pretty expensive. Not sure if we'll stay again. Maybe?

7.5 Good
Pros: On site restaurant
Cons: Check out time before 12.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very Friendly staff and was a great location!
Cons: The traffic pattern into the hotel was confusing for entrance and exit. This was not really a big issue!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Simple clean and affordable. Staff was super friendly and helpful.
1.0 Poor
Cons: The staff at the front desk was the rudest customer service representative I’ve ever encountered. I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable during my stay. The girl at the front desk was accusatory and rude and did not treat us like welcome guests. We were accused of smoking in the room and threatened to be kicked off the property. This was shocking as we didn’t smoke in our room. We went to the front desk to try and rectify it and asked for them to come up so that we could prove that we did not. We did not want to be kicked out or charged for something that we didn’t do. Instead we were called liars and told that because the clothes we were wearing smelled of smoke, there was no way to believe us. We begged and pleaded for them to just walk into the room and all we got in return was “it’s impossible for me to believe you didn’t. I can’t leave my desk,” or “I can smell it on you right now.” She was insulting and judgmental. She then lied about being the manager when we asked to speak with someone else. The GM was kind and reasonable after the front desk finally allowed me to speak to her. We quickly explained, she came to the room to see it didn’t smell of smoke and it was over. However this was after arguing for over thirty minutes with the accusatory girl in the front and being threatened to be kicked off the property on Valentine’s Day. We spent our Valentine’s Day upset over the way we were treated and uncomfortable walking through the hotel and it’s lobby. There are simple ways to handle misunderstandings in customer service and I was blown away by the mishandling of this one. We were looked straight in the face and threatened to be kicked off the property and charged for something we DID NOT DO. We were told straight to our faces that she didn’t believe us. When you stay at a hotel, you expect hospitality and to feel welcome. We did not experience that at all. The hotel experience and discomfort we felt with the staff put a shadow over our whole trip.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Accommodated early check in.
Cons: Hallway smelled damp like they had water damage. Funny smell in hallway and in room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: 1. Location 2. Quiet - most hotel walls are thin. I heard nothing.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice king size bed. Right off I95
Cons: TV cable hookup was loose so had to adjust it so that tv worked properly.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Had to wait past 3 o clock check in time for our room. Unacceptable has never happened to me ever in all of the hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Couple next to us same thing and both also aggravated. Front desk girl was rude. Our shower wouldn’t clog so i could not take a tub and also had mold in it. Didn’t get refunded.
7.0 Good
Cons: The toilet handle in my bathroom was broken so any time I flushed the toilet, I had to jiggle the handle back into a certain position otherwise it would just run perpetually.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: For once, a hotel where I can’t hear the other guests. Usually, hotel walls are thin. Not so here.
Cons: Thermostat can be tricky.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location is great.
Cons: Room is old. Theromstat is broken. Staff is not accomodating.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The staff was very good. A king room was selected on Kayak and we were given a queen upon arrival, which was incorrect. The woman at the front desk was great and gave us a king like we selected originally.
Cons: The hotel is very out dated and smells of smoke, so a renovation is recommended.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Basic rooms small tv hey it’s motel 6
Cons: No car wash
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Bugs an smelled of cigarettes
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were cheerful, friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was also clean and well taken care of. Outstanding would be a fitting description for both the staff, and location, easy to get on the highway and close to shopping and restaurants and other fun destinations on the Seacoast of NH.
Cons: Nothing they can do about it, the parking on the side of the building with the drive through road. You have to fight two way traffic on that road to get into a parking spot or out of it. Be careful. There is another lot behind the pool that is more safe and secure, and easier to get in and out of.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We were cozy all night and I was happy.
Cons: I could have used an extra blanket.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable
1.0 Poor
Pros: They take pets. Over all nothing
Cons: I made reservations and it was awful when I got there no fridge in room the TV was awkwardly set no closet. Very small room. Shower pressure was awful and the bed was like sleeping on a hard floor. Blankets in bed were so thin and the bed was next to a drafty window. No fan in bathroom so when we took showers the window in room fogged up LOL. IT WAS THE WORST MOTEL IVE EVER STAYED AT. We tried to change rooms and the woman at front desk said all rooms are the same size..
5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff were very accommodating about an early check-in and helpful regarding menus for take out/delivery options. Positive attitudes even during Covid virus and it appeared cleanliness precautions were being taken.
Cons: Room very bare bones...no shampoo, microwave, etc. Temperature very hot.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: I needed a getaway and had gotten a deal online with a room with a queen bed. When I arrived they said the room wasn’t ready (I arrived minutes after check in time and it wasn’t busy, so I’m not sure why it wasn’t ready) and so instead gave me a bed with two twin beds on the first floor. Both nights I was there people were coming in and out of their rooms all night long, I didn’t fall asleep until maybe 3:30am. Next time someone comes in and they already have a room booked, I recommend not changing what they’ve paid for and making it seem like a better situation. I had a very clean and quiet pup with me, so I hope I wasn’t put in the sketchy part of the hotel just because I had a dog when you guys advertise that you allow dogs. It seems like there’s maybe drug deals going on or something, because it’s not normal for people to be coming in and out of their room until 5 AM. Maybe you guys should check up on that or have a police man there during late night hours. And next time let the single young woman traveling alone have the room she paid for that isn’t surrounded by sketchy people.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location is why we chose this hotel. The staff is very helpful.
Cons: Having the ice machine only on the lobby floor is inconvenient when we are in for the night. Not being able to enter the building with a room key in parking lot doors in inconvenient; especially at night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendliness of staff
Cons: None
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and good quality for the money!
Cons: Everything is pretty basic and there’s no shampoo or conditioner provided
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very clean and the nicest Motel 6 that I have stayed in.
Cons: When we got to our room, the heat had been left on high and it was at least 80 degrees in our room and the air conditioning unit hadn't been turned on for the season. It was extremely hot all night even with the window open. There wasn't a microwave wave in our room. When I asked if there was one I could use, I was told the one in the lobby had to be taken out because of Covid 19. None was offered for my room.

Pros: I was a little afraid to stay here at first but im glad I did!! Receptionist was really awesome and helpful. My room/bathroom was very clean, my bed was super comfortable. The pool was nice and clean. Definitely would be back & will be staying with them.
Cons: That they didn’t have breakfast but the restaurant is right next door so it didn’t really matter...
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel room was super clean and the staff was very friendly - Definitely more than you might expect at a 2.5 star hotel!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The lady at the front desk was so sweet and nice, the rooms were very nice and comfortable.
Cons: The hot tub was closed and the pool only went to 5 feet
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, comfortable and well located.
Cons: No
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The quiet. ️Hot shower. Fluffy towels.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Is proximity to the Kittery Outlets
Cons: We booked a suite to cook breakfast in the kitchenette. There were no dishes, silverware, pots or pans. We had to get a box and carry it up to our room and it had no fry pan and had to ask for dish soap to run the dishwasher and the coffee pot a joke.
5.0 Okay
Pros: location was good and clean room
Cons: big mess with "free breakfast" and my issue is still not resolved
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The kitchenette and the size of the suite
7.9 Good
Pros: Bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet and clean. Great location
Cons: No breakfast besides the diner next door The website should also advertise that the hot tub is broken; there is an indoor pool but the site boasts both indoor and outdoor pool. The pool was clean but definitely needs some repairs
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, bed very comfortable, pool and jacuzzi clean, very quiet, we were out of season. The restaurant Roundabout is cool. It is close to downtown Portsmouth.
Cons: Everything was like expected and more.
6.0 Good
Pros: Room was fine for what we paid for. Was nice that there was a pool hot tub and gym. Pool could have been warmer though - I couldn’t get into it cause it was cold
Cons: I have literally never been to a hotel where the staff does not greet you when you walk in. Instead my husband and I got looked up and down every single time we came back to the hotel. It was honestly so strange.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location.
Cons: Strange hotel layout. In first room, heat was on full-blast and heating unit levers were stuck. After one minute in the room, sweat was rolling down my face. Had to switch rooms.

Cons: TV did not work. Everything else was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was an exceptional value and it exceeded all of my expectations in every way. The rooms and property were clean and well kept. The property had an old school roadside hotel appeal but it's up keep made you feel like it was brand new. It is certainly not a five star hotel, but everything about it made it seem like they tried to be.
7.0 Good
