Not the Best for a Marriott
The hotel was ok Location was ok for the downtown area Being Halloween weekend my husband and I went to dinner and then came back to the hotel for a couple of drinks. The bar tender was nice- and accommodating. Kudos to him.
The staff upon check in- Male - Was rude. I checked in on my Marriott App which I do whenever I travel and the male at the counter said it doesn't matter. He then proceeded to argue with me. I showed my license and then gave him the same card on file- which BTW Is my Marriott card. No recognition of being a Marriott member. And clearly they did not read my account as I always request a high floor, Extra pillows and towels. I was on 3rd out of 6 floors and no extra pillows or towels. Then once in the room, which was nice- at first. The fridge smelled as old beer, the ice machine did not work. The bathroom has nasty black hair all over the shower, the AC did not work. I did call the front desk and was told someone would be coming up to fix and check room when they arrived. When I returned to the hotel, Hair still in bathroom, AC worked sporadically, a note saying ice maker did not work and to call for ice and a tool bag left behind. I have traveled for years for Business and Pleasure however this Marriott was less then appealing. I will be following up with the Manager of the hotel As well.

The breakfast was great, staff was very nice, the room size was just right for us. Great location to downtown and parking garage since parking is off site. Will definitely choose this hotel again.

Great location within walking distance! We came as a staycation to go out with friends we haven't seen in a long time!
We had three different interactions with the staff, and all three were very disappointing. We had drinks with friends (who were also hotel guests) and asked for extra glasses, which came an hour later, and the staff member who dropped them off just had a terrible attitude. It was obvious he was unhappy about it. Came back from dinner and drinks to a very rude third shift member who told us we had a noise complaint and grilled us about who was staying in the room. We hadn't been in the room since 7pm, so I don't know how that was even possible. Then we were given a late checkout till 12:30pm and were getting ready when a very rude house keeper can to the door at 11am and told us we should have left already. We explained and she scowled and stormed off! Needless to say we will not be back.
