Cons: Parking is a little complicated-it's on the street but you need a blue sticker which you can get from the hotel. The hotel is located inside the city walls so restricted parking is expected. We parked right across street so it was not a problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Veronique, as ever, was the perfect host. Warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Good location as a base for visiting the sights in Ypres and touring further into the countryside. The accommodation exceeded all expectations in cleanliness and functionality. Great for just a day or longer. Breakfast was lovely with local fresh produce and the facility of a beautiful packed lunch, if required, for your day of sightseeing around the battlefields. Relaxing stay and would always return for further holidays. Have used this B&B on previous visits to Ypres. Although I do not use the facility, one can hire bicycles at the B&B should you require. The nature of the flat countryside is perfect for the less energetic. So as not to be disappointed, book early as this popular B&B and is in demand. I have found that once you have stayed there you would not want to stay anywhere else.
Cons: There is nothing one can fault with this B&B. It would be great if the B&B had more rooms for my larger groups, however one would lose that personal touch that makes the stay so pleasant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful hosts. Very comfortable beds. Easy access to the sights along very pleasant walking routes. Decent breakfasts.
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable accommodation, tastefully decorated , very clean , good breakfast excellent location . Veronique was exceptionally friendly helpful and understanding of our needs.
Cons: Check in at 5 was quite late.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was very clean and tidy. Veronique is a wonderful host, very attentive and seemingly tireless at breakfast ensuring the guests had plenty to eat and drink. Continental breakfast was good and full of variety. The accommodation is very close to Lille Gate and only about 10 minutes from the main square and Menin Gate. There is no parking with the accommodation but off street parking is close by.
Cons: This is just being picky and does not detract from the fact that the accommodation is great. The bed was short in length and being a tall person this meant that my feet hung over the end but for a few nights I can live with it! Although a kettle was provided in the room there were no cups or tea coffee making facilities to go with it. The shower cubicle was small and the control valve could easily be knocked out of position causing the water temperature to be changed! Unless a guest can get a first floor room then anyone who has difficulties with climbing steep steps this accommodation may not suitable. Would I stay at this accommodation again, yes most definitely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Veronique was wonderful. Unexpectedly bringing my 74 year old mother last minute, we managed o change the room to a lower floor with no inconvenience. The organisation upon arrival was clear and concise; parking was wonderful; location is 10 minutes walk to the Grote Markt and Menin Gate; room was spacious with great decor with en suite. Very clean. Breakfast was wonderful and incredibly relaxed. Veronique is very wonderful. We will visit again.
Cons: I would specify if you have a problem with stairs as there are quite a lot of stairs if on floor 2 (hence why we were offered to change rooms).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just such a wonderful caring experience after our last Airbnb-felt Veronique really cared about you and was very professional and helpful

Pros: Close to centre. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in Room 6 on the 2nd Floor. Very roomy and a good sized bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. The B&B is very conveniently located for walking around the city.
Cons: In order to benefit from free parking we had to park a few minutes walk away outside of the city wall but this is the same everywhere in Ypres.

Cons: For us everything was fine, so we can't think of anything that could have been better.

Pros: Location excellent. Bedroom and bathroom very spacious Option to return to room during the day if needed lounge facility offered. Good continental breakfast Decor simple and tasteful , luxury of a massive bath and a separate shower much appreciated. Would recommend.

Pros: Was really close to centre and Menai Gate for Last Post. Great deep bathtub
Cons: Orange juice would be better if natural.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: the breakfast and the showers were really good
Cons: some of us couldn't access the wifi
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is fantastic, rooms exceptionally clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good including freshly cooked eggs to order. Nice guest lounge with drinks available at the 'honesty' bar.
Cons: The noise from cars on the cobbled road was rather intrusive. I would certainly request a room at the rear next time.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was extremely friendly! The lady of the house was easy to reach in case of emergency (which there weren't any besides a toilet paper emergency). The view from our room (Denim Thoughts) was the row of houses across the street, but that's to be expected with a B&B in the middle of town. There's an honesty bar downstairs. The first place ever that provided washing cloths :)
Cons: - Room "Denim Thoughts" has an orange street light right next to the window, which goes out some nights, but not every night. The folding curtains block out most of the light, but leaves some on the side. - The light switches were quite confusing even after three days of staying there. - When staying multiple days, we would advise you to bring your own shampoo (only a little tube was provided).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Instructions on how to get in were clear once we had read correctly the confirmation email from Jo, the host. Room, breakfast room and everything was sparkling clean and welcoming and Jo the host was warm and friendly. We loved it all, parking in street easy and right there at Groht Markt. Would definitely stay again. Jo is delightful. Jane. April, 2019.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The team were really helpful. I left some things in the room and they tried to contact me before I left Ypres. Unfortunately I had already gone so they arranged for the items to be posted to me. Will stay there when next back in Ypres
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is good, close to the Great Market and the Menin Gate, with parking (with cost) available next to the hotel which makes it super convenient for those arriving by car. The breakfast is very good with plenty of choices on offer. The staff do their best to help and are very friendly and engaging. A small refrigerator in each room is a plus as cool drinks can be stored. Plenty of English language channels on the TV was another plus.
Cons: Not being given a room with air con on a day of record-breaking temperature was not a good start but the situation was quickly remedied. The lift had also broken down, probably thanks to the record-breaking temperatures, and it remained out of service throughout the two days but a serviceman had been in attendance so the staff members were attempting to remedy the situation.

Pros: Location, Hotel room was remodeled and a wonderful mixture between old and new. Bathroom was new too.
Cons: Shower: there was no storage area in the shower for shower gel etc., room was badly soundproofed. I was not sure if the luggage room next to hotel lobby was properly supervised. Everyone could have had access to that room.

Pros: Comfortable and clean rooms Locality of the hotel
Cons: The change to the parking contract with out notice Changes from reasonable to near extortionate rates
5.5 Okay
Pros: Loved the location. Just a few minutes walk from the Menin Gate and Cloth Hall.
Cons: I had no window in my room! Even a prison cell has a window! The family room was okay but once you put a cot in there was NO room to walk past the bed. I had to walk sideways to get past. The staff were very unhelpful. Apparently there is no manager available on weekends but the staff told me they weren’t authorised to make a decision.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Did not have breakfast - too expensive
7.5 Good
Pros: A very well presented hotel with visitors mainly there for the Menim Gate ceremony which is only a 5 minute walk away.
Cons: At €20 the breakfast is expensive - we stayed on a Saturday night so not many cafes open in the town on Sunday morning as an alternative. Make the most of it - especially making your own waffles. Downside is parking - we used the public underground car park and got stuck as the barrier comes down really quickly. Hotel was unable to help - eventually managed to escape!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Rooms had all the facilities you expect. Clean and looked good when you entered hotel
Cons: I thought my full payment had been taken by booking.com but it hadnt

Pros: Friendly staff and attentive when necessary. Great breakfast too. The property is in a superb location right in the heart of the market square. The owner is a lovely lady and very willing to to help and be as accommodating as possible.
Cons: Sometimes the noise was a bit much, but it didn’t spoil anything and the pillows were way too soft
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location for the square and Menin Gate.
Cons: Nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: Central location
Cons: Room very much not as described ( or paid for)- no air con and not a double bed. No reception staff at check-in. Couldn’t find the room as it was in a different building, with no helpful instructions. The room was small, dingy and very hot. On complaining was told “sorry we are full - can’t move rooms”, though I was offered a 10 euro discount. At least that made me smile
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Very good location.
Cons: N/A
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect.Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful & fresh. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We would return & recommend.
Cons: The room needed a bit of maintenance. Missing blind from window & bedside shelf missing. Shower rail mounting was broken.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Reception staff very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Hotel being refurbished Work going on. Some areas quite shabby. We had a room at the front and the music from the fairground outside went on past midnight.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was situated near to the centre, There was lots of restuarants nearby. Very near to the Menin Gate where the last post is played very evening at 8.00 pm, Few places of interested is within walking distance.
Cons: You have to wait quite awhile during checked in/out as when we were there for the weekend it looks like it's a one man show. One person during the breakfast and also the service desk. Don't know about weekdays.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was typically European bread, cold meats, cheese and such like. More than sufficient to set you up for the day.
Cons: The layout of the hotel is somewhat confusing in that to get to second you take lift to is floor, walk dining room and take another lift to 2nd floor.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good. The hotel is located very close to the Market Square
Cons: The booking site says there is parking. I assumed that this meant that the hotel has its own parking, but it does not. There is pay for on-street (or Market Square) parking, although we were directed to an area some distance from the hotel where on-street parking is free. The room was very warm and there was no aircon or even a fan.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location was excellent
Cons: Breakfast was basic. Plug in the room broken. Tap in the shower not working properly. Sink broken. I will not go there again even though the location was excellent. Hotel had one person at the reception. We had to wait and call for him every time.
