Pullman Zhangjiajie - Zhangjiajie - Building
1
9.3 Excellent (5,089 reviews)
C$ 98+
Overview Reviews
Pullman Zhangjiajie is located in the center of Wulingyuan, known as the world natural heritage, a geological park, a national forest as well as a 5A level scenic spot. With its themed architecture of Southeast Asia resort, the hotel is adapted for both b usiness and leisure, incorporating sight-seeing tours that reflect the Zhangjiajie culture. Conveniently located within a 30-minute drive from Zhangjiajie City, airport and railway station, and 3 minutes' drive to one entrance of National forest park.
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly reception staff and great concierges. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds are huge and really comfy. Great location to see all the main attractions. Breakfast has a wide variety on offer.
Cons: Was not too happy about being brought the bill 3 times before we had even finished our meal, especially after the first time I kindly asked for the bill to be brought back after we had finished. Food is expensive for what you get and a service charge on a buffet seems unreasonable.
7.9 Good
Pros: The assistant manager Johnson went out of his way to help me troubleshoot the technical problems I have with my iPhone and iPad,
Cons: The coffee was mediocre and the spa people were unfriendly and don’t seem to care. I decided not to gat a massage because of this
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Can't beat that location! This is one of the 2 major hotels in this area, and they are right next to each other. Highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the park, instead of staying in the Zhangjiajie city. You get a great early start - and eliminate unnecessary travel. Buffet breakfast had some American options (eggs, pastries, cereal, breakfast sausage, etc.) that were pretty good. The room layout was good and provides as much bottled water as you need. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Zhangjiajie National Park. Our views of the city were actually really beautiful. They all light up at night, I wasn't expecting that and it was a really beautiful experience. Recommend taking a taxi or DiDi to the park entrance. It would be 15-20 min walking, and it's a $1 cab ride. Wasn't expecting an amazing pool! After a long day of hiking it looked very inviting.
Cons: Buffet Breakfast was ok, look elsewhere for dinner restaurants. On-site restaurants are overpriced and not good. Don't let it detract from your stay at this hotel. Great food on the main city strip - just 10 min walking.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is well located.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a great time at the Pullman. We appreciate all the help received from Mr Bob Naresh, (guest services manager) he directed us to the various tourist attractions, he also informed all the catering staff that we required vegetarian meals. Made our stay at the Pullman very memorable. Thank you
8.8 Excellent
Pros: There is a great show right next door to this hotel, which we really enjoyed. I worried that the noise from the show would be disruptive in our room on the nights we didn’t go to the show, but that wasn’t a problem at all. We had amazing hour long foot massages at the spa for great prices. Such a treat after a long day of walking. And with 2 queen size beds, the room was plenty big enough for our family of 4.
Cons: The food in the restaurant was only ok. The French Fries were yummy, but everything else we ate there was pretty disappointing.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff particularly Helen good informative local information Location handy to bus train stations Nice vibe in shared area
Cons: To carry bags up stairs ok unless you’re tired
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect, close to bus station and tian man station. Clean and spacious rooms. Nice breakfast for affordable price.
Cons: No coffee for breakfast, just instant one 3-1 pack. We met huge spider in bathroom, staff immediately changed the room for us.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Poorest breakfast. Bad shower.
6.2 Good
Pros: As far as hotels go, this one is average. Tucked in with a bunch of other hotel/hostels, it’s an easy walk from the train/bus stations. This makes it attractive for early or late departure/arrival. You can get to Tianmen Mountain very easily and then just walk to bus station for transportation to the forrest park. My double room was clean but Spartan. The shower leaked and the floor wasn’t done properly so the water would pool rather than drain. The common area has a few things but not all that much. Basically it’s a good place if you need a good price option and just want somewhere to sleep.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We could check in earlier and that was sooooo good! To be able to shower after a long night train ride was just gold!! Love the support from the staff
Cons: The bathroom is small
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Extremely cheap hostel offering great service! Staff is very helpful offering a lot of tips and advice, rooms are comfortable and clean, location is good. Cannot be better!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very social, people who work there are friendly and speak English
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. They can send your luggage to another hotel which is very convenient. Free umbrellas!

Pros: Rocky, staff very helpful, room clean great price. And good location.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: hotel owner can speak english and very helpful, he give us guidance for travel plan and help book some tickets. location is walkable from bus stop.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owner is fantastic and speaks English. Very flexible and gave great help with plotting our routes in the National park and Tianmen. We wouldnt have had such a nice trip if it wasnt for him. Hotel itself is also great and clean.
Cons: None
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly and helpful personal, comfortable bed, not far away from entrance to the Tianmen mountain park
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I was on the 7th floor, which was a hike. Loved the view of the city and the mountains in the background from the room. This is a small hotel and with it comes personal attention and care. Rocky provided a map of the area and how to get around, helped get tickets to Tianmen mountain. The location is within walking distance of the bus and train station (I was given a ride to the train station) as well as bakery, fruitstand, grocery store and restaurants including the family restaurant accross the street. A kettle and cups are in the room for your conveinience. They will arrange a foot massage for you which is what I needed after walking so many stairs and Zhangjiajie National Forest and Tianmen mountain. Loved the ecofriendly set up of lights go off when your key is not in the slot.
Cons: I am a bathtub person - but already knew I wasn't going to have it before I came so... They do have shampoo and bodywash installed in dispensers on the wall. Would love to have the option of low lighting.
6.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is walking distance from the train/bus station. Many places to eat nearby as well as a reasonably priced market. The owner, Rocky was so amazing and helpful. Spoke great English and went above and beyond to assist us in several aspects.
Cons: Took a minute to find down the little gravel alley. It isn't fancy but it is clean and gets the job done.

2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Comfortable beds, large 2 bathroom executive suite, nice shower and bath. Nice view, would be much nicer if windows were clean.
Cons: HOT, HVAC’s very difficult to operate, called front desk for help, but they were no help at all. Inside windows and carpet very dirty. In room air purifier had very dirty filter, smelled very dusty when it was turned on. In room refrigerator had old smelly moldy food inside. Told GM about issues in hope that future patrons will not have the same experience. “Western Breakfast” was lacking any variety, only had eggs and toast with some watermelon.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Close to airport
Cons: No English spoken. No air conditioning. Dirty towels and cups. No room service. Smell in bathroom and lobby. Staff shouting to communicate in lobby. Asked for fan as no air conditioning and waited 1 hr to get one which didnt work. Replaced later. Really poor hotel unless proximity to airport is your only aim.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Standard was fine...for the price. I was there simply because I arrived late and wanted to visit Heaven's Gate the next day before moving on. Lobby is extravegant and perhaps the best feature in the hotel.
Cons: Continuous sound of car horns and buliding works all day...and evening. Slept with ear plugs. Not convenient by foot for the main attraction..Heaven's gate. Better to stay nearer and walk. Taxi's worked OK. Staff indifferent.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: Dirty, noisy , no English speaking staff, breakfast choice is very poor
7.9 Good
Pros: Everything was fantastic..... except for the staff!!!! Clean, warm, good view from the room etc. but how the front desk staff still have jobs is beyond me!
Cons: The staff!! Rude, uncooperative, lazy. The worst customer service I’ve ever received. Period. Be mindful of this when booking!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff, the service, the facilities, the breakfast, the view from my window ... loved it.
Cons: That our stay was too short.
7.5 Good
Pros: Big selection at the buffet breakfast!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: In the special request section of the booking, we requested that our flight be met by the shuttle. After 36 straight hours of travel on our on, I cannot begin to tell you how thrilled we were when we exited the airport and there was someone with a sign with my name on it. We would have been in tears if we would have had to figure out how to get a taxi there. The room and the facilities were fabulous. A 5 star hotel for $87 is hard to beat.
Cons: The staff is more limited in English than i expected. A manager at another hotel in the city explained that people with really good English go to big cities were they can get really good jobs. Manage your expectations on the staff being able to communicate well, but they can muddle through. Prepare to be surprised because there is a lot of miscommunication.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful modern but classical and stylish hotel.
Cons: This is a remote area and limited english. Can be misunderstandings on tours, timings etc
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Small gestures like replenishing the welcome fruit basket every day. Reasonably priced minibar & all additional items.
Cons: English speaking concierge would have been helpful. Better guidance on local attractions - finally the Assistant Manager could guide us.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel it self is very well kept, it is MASSIVE! and there are decent facilities there, including gym, swimming pool, badminton, KTV, Snooker etc all of which is well maintained. Truth is, this hotel is made for tour operates who rarely get guests from the west, so it is very catered to Chinese tourists, you will struggle to get anyone that speaks English, having said that they will try and use apps etc to help you. They accept AMEX, which is a bonus. They will take more money from your card than what is shown on Booking.com, this is a deposit and you will get it back when you check out onto your card (dont worry it works fine) Breakfast is decent, not a big selection if you are from the west, but enough for you to get by. If you need a taxi you can ask the hotel or just walk outside and flag one down, thats if you arent on one of the buses. Overall i enjoyed my stay and would say the rooms are Massive and well kept. Please note this is China, and people smoke everywhere, 8th floor is non smoking but ppl will still smoke this isnt the hotels fault it is just the way it is, something you have to get over if you are staying there. Also, if you are struggling with food, come out the hotel turn left and walk for 5 mins, you will come to a group of shops, there is a little lady with a small fridge and a bbq in the shop, give it a go you wont regret it and it isnt spicy (trust me this area is all about the spice)
Cons: No one really spoke english but they tried and did there best to help using Apps. Swimming pool wasnt actually open.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been. Big rooms. Excelent price. Free pick up from airport.
Cons: Staff english is poor.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money. Great location. 30 minutes away from the airport. 10 minutes away from the cable car and town Centre.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Property was excellent. Rooms are extra big and clean.
Cons: Breakfast is not so good especially if you are after a continental breakfast.
7.9 Good
Pros: It s spacious, and the family room is great for a family of 4, it comes with two queen beds and a living room in the middle of the bed which was great for my children to watch tv and eat sth. Got a small kitchenette where you can prepare some hot water and we got a basket of fruits as welcome gift and Cokes and water.
Cons: The only descent restaurant was a closed private dining restaurant. so we had a huge dining room with living just for the four of us, sounds great but the dishes were pretty dirty that I requested a clean one and they came back after washing but soaking wet. The foods we requested non-spicy for the children but two out of five ended up little spicy. There is no store around the hotel, so basically nothing much to do. The hotel breakfast has tons of variety but was not well made, some of steamed buns were cold, and eggs real greasy and not sophisticated enough for the hotel. Either way, the price was good, and really good value and would have been perfect without these minor issues. The staffs were ok but not impressive. The bar downstairs has very few options of drinks.

Pros: The beds were very firm but not uncomfortable, very close to the entrance to Zhangjiajie National Park, NOT LOCATED at the town of Zhangjiajie as some sites suggested, but about an hour away near Wulingyuan. Great location if you're going into the park. A cab up from the airport runs about $150rmb on the meter. Friendly staff.
Cons: Included breakfast was pretty uninspired. The staff we dealt with spoke no English, we had to use our phones to translate.
