There were two other older passengers in wheelchairs, one on either side of me. When it came time to pre-board flight attendants came up to both men and helped them on board. They ignored me. Then they announced regular boarding. I had to remove my bags from my lap and get up out of the chair and go to the gate to say I needed to preboard. The man looked annoyd and said they had announced it. When I explained how no one came to me but they did the others he said I could go now. I said I needed help with my bags and he acted VERY surly and put out. He did help me but I felt like they assumed because I was young I couldn't possibly be sick and treated me like a liar."

They refused to check my luggage because they said I had arrived too early. I wasn't too early for my originally scheduled flight! I now had to sit in the airport for 5 hours. I had to call home, arrange a sitter for my children whom I was suppose to see at 8:55 pm. They said there was nothing they could do about it."

The crew needs to serve water and drinks a little more than twice in the 8 hour flight. And when the water and drinks are served,they should pour a little more than 40% in the cup. Dehydration doesn't make for a good experience especially when you have already come off a 12.5 hour connecting flight."

Cons: "The seats were very cramped for an international flight and half of the foot space was taken up by an installed box of sorts. The "foot rest" also dug into my upper shins the entire flight (I had it in the upright position, but I have long legs). The food was really bad, basically inedible. Not just on this flight but on all the Air China flights I've been on, and both food options are usually identical other than the option between fake chicken or fake beef or seafood. The flight is super structured (referring to my 13-hour flight), that you're not allowed to sleep when you want because they have such a regimented schedule of when to turn on/off the lights, etc. On multiple occasions the flight attendants have turned off my tv monitor while I'm in the middle of a movie just because it appeared I was sleeping. With my 1 hr layover in Beijing that ended up being less than 10 minutes due to a delay, I made the rush through security quick enough, but my bags did not and needed to be shipped to me a day later at my destination. Air China purposefully schedules flights with such short layovers, putting customers' travel at risk. Not a major issue, but the crew surprisingly also had pretty limited English on the Beijing-Washington DC flight. For connecting flights, I have no expectation of English language ability, because it doesn't involve travel to an English-speaking country. However, if you're flying to the US, you should expect to communicate in English well, at least one of the cabin crew."

When I got off at Shuangliu airport From CA 4120 at 23:50pm, there was no airport bus to transfer me from T2 to T1 international Departure at Chengdu Shuangliu. I have to run in the dark nearly 2 km to catch 1:20 am CA 429 to Sydney Australia. Really bad international service in Chengdu Shuangliu!!"

Cons: "Where to start. First off, I have flown budget air carriers with more leg room than this pacific international flight. I do admit I am a taller than average guy, but if you are over 6' tall you will have NO legroom. And I mean none. It is an insulting amount of legroom. My 5'6" wife barely had any room, never mind myself. On my flight back, I requested an emergency exit row seat (as I noticed on the flight over the emergency exit row was filled with old people and young couples with babies/ young children). And was informed it would cost $120 USD per flight per person. My jaw almost hit the floor. You mean to tell me that the emergency exit row - the row where in the case of an emergency you are supposed to physically be able to assist passengers - actually COSTS money to sit in? That is an absolute disgrace. You have to pay for the added responsibility to help in the case of an emergency? Of course, once I was on the flight the emergency exit row was filled with old people and babies. All of course perfectly capable of helping in the case of an emergency. I was, and still am furious. The gall to charge that much money and then give the responsibility to people unable to help? Meanwhile, an able-bodied couple in the 20s is denied and I am cramped in my less-than-acceptable-for-budget-airlines legroom. And the food. Putrid. Inedible. It was somehow overwhelmingly fragrant while far too bland. Its hard to imagine someone putting together that meal and feeling proud. The meals all screamed "I do not care about my customers." In fact, that is the overwhelming feeling I got from Air China. An airline that truly could not careless about their customers. I would not reccommend. Even if they are the cheapest by a far margin. Stay away. Do not go near. Air China is a terrible airline that should be avoided at all costs."

They did not give me any answer, so my family in vietnam was waiting for me 6 hours in the airport. I will never back with air china. I think they delayed the fly on their purpose. They have many choice for time when you book ticket . Bur later they will delay to have full customer from many different fly make all customers in only one fly to save their cost"
