She’s an icon. She’s an inspiration. Now, she has her own movie. In case you missed the trailers, memes and co-branded products, a ~certain~ doll now has her own movie. The buzz created about this premiere has sparked pink-centric trends in fashion, interior design, and of course, travel. Though we can’t help you visit the fictional land where the movie takes place, we can help you find flights to pink destinations in the real world. From must-see attractions to hotels that feel like a dream house, here’s our guide for taking the pink vacation of your dreams.

Our picks for dolled-up destinations.

If there’s anything that this toy (and movie) has taught us, it’s that you can be anything you want. Want to explore the world and know the truth about the universe? It’s time to get out of your box and check out these destinations.

Southern California, United States.

Flights to Los Angeles average around $505*.
Flights to Palm Springs average around $498*.

SoCal is the destination we associate most with this legendary doll. Start your trip by flying into LA and driving to Malibu so you can surf or relax by the water – just don’t “beach” anyone off. Then, head back to Los Angeles for rollerblading (preferably in a neon outfit) by the Venice Boardwalk or window shopping on Rodeo Drive. If you really want to experience this doll’s world, grab tickets for this immersive experience, which is running through early September.

For something more laid back, opt for an excursion to Palm Springs. Here, you can hike and camp your way through Joshua Tree National Park. Then lounge by the pool or spa at Sands Hotel and Spa or The Saguaro Palm Springs, two pink places where you’ll get the full doll-meets-desert experience.

New York City, United States.

Flights to New York average around $430*.

Pink might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of NYC, but trust, this doll would thrive in the Big Apple. In fact, New York is where these toys made their first debut at the New York Toy Fair in 1959.

Origins aside, NYC has tons of fashion, museums and dining experiences that this doll would love. Plan for a meal or two at one of the city’s pink restaurants – places like Pietro Nolita, Tiny’s Upstairs, While We Were Young, Mtea, FIAT CafeDowntime and Magic Hour at the Moxy Hotel all feature pink decor. You could also get tickets to the Malibu-inspired pop-up café in Brooklyn, which is open from now until September.

London, United Kingdom.

Flights to London average around $1,182*.

As a city that’s rooted in royalty, London’s historic architecture will make you feel like you’re part of a fairytale. Between sightseeing, shopping and high tea, take a stroll along the Bywater Street Houses or the Trevor Square Pink House. Here, you’ll find quaint neighborhoods that make you feel surrounded by real-life dollhouses. For pink places to dine during your stay, check out The Gallery Restaurant at Sketch, Peggy Porschen, Tonight Josephine, Dona, EllaMia, Blame Gloria, and Dyce.

Paris, France.

Flights to Paris average around $1,145*.

Paris is one of the fashion capitals of the world, so it’s only natural it would be on this list. Aside from the usual attractions, Parc de Bagatelle is a great place to stop and smell the roses. Then grab something to eat at the famous La Maison Rose, Pink Mamma, La Favorite, Giorgio, Rosé, Pinky Bloom or The Rose for pink Parisian dining.

The south of France also has a handful of historic fairytale towns. Venture to Toulouse, known as “the pink city” for a few days before settling in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. This quaint beach town is just outside Nice and is full of pink pastel houses that overlook The French Riviera. Sample rosé, enjoy the beach and visit the legendary Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild – just don’t forget your pink beret.

Jaipur, India.

Flights to Jaipur average around $3,816*.

Another city rooted in royalty, Jaipur is known as “the pink city”. From palaces to courtyards, gardens, and museums, pink hues can be found at this  UNESCO World Heritage Site at every turn. Book your stay at the luxurious Rajmahal Palace Raas, where you’ll feel at home in your own pink palace. Tour the Hawa Mahal, Nahargarh Fort and stroll through some of the city’s markets, too. Johari Bazaar is one of the most popular, where you can browse tons of local goods and jewelry. You can also visit Nehru Bazaar to shop for souvenirs like artisan shoes and hand-crafted apparel.

Tokyo, Japan.

Flights to Tokyo average around $1,735*.

Tokyo is the place to go if you want to experience a bustling city coupled with soft pink blooms. Plan your visit to Japan in the spring to see the world’s best cherry blossoms, or in the fall to see other exotic pink plants. Take a day to visit Hitachi Seaside Park – located outside Tokyo, this area is known for its iconic Kochia bushes which turn bright magenta. For something pink and sweet, stop by Alfred Tea, Eddy’s Ice Cream, SWEET TWIST, Pink. ASAKUSA, or Totti candy for a Tokyo treat.

Marrakech, Morocco.

Flights to Marrakech average around $1,1471*.

Morocco is a destination known for its bright colours, including pinks and magentas – and Marrakech is no exception. With palaces, museums, markets, gardens and more, Marrakech is a place to get swept up in wonder. Stay at a vibrant hotel like Amanjena or El Fen-El Fenn also has a rooftop bar where you can sip craft cocktails and take in panoramic views. Spend your days in Marrakech touring Bahia Palace, Jardin Majorelle and visit Souk Semmarine to find Moroccan treasures. You can also stop by Bubble’s Pink or Les Jardins Du Lotus for a pink dining experience.

Sometimes where you stay is just as important as your destination. After all – we doubt our favourite doll would go anywhere that wasn’t both vibrant and fun.

Pink places that *almost* don’t feel real.

No plastic, but still fantastic – these landmarks and landscapes are the real deal. Whether you have a trip planned or are looking for future inspiration, here are a few pink places to consider for your itinerary.

Bask on pink beaches.
Pink sand? We’re there. Some of the best places to find natural pink wonders are by the ocean – and we all know how much this doll loves the beach. If you’re looking for a coastal getaway with pink pastels mixed in, here’s where we would go.

Located on one of the quieter islands, Pink Sands Beach provides plenty of opportunities to swim and sunbathe year-round. Fly into Eleuthera Airport and then take a ferry to Harbour Island to relish the soft pink sand.

Horseshoe Bay is known as one of the island’s most stunning pink beaches. To get there, fly into L.F. Wade Airport then take a taxi or bus to Horseshoe Bay. Be sure to BYOBeach towels – chairs and umbrellas are also available for rent.

Komodo Island is one of east Indonesia’s smaller islands which has some of the most vibrant pink beaches in the world. Stopover from Bali or fly directly to Labuan Bajo and catch a boat to Komodo Beach. You can also book a tour of Komodo National Park to get the full experience.

Of all the beaches to explore in Greece, Elafonissi Beach should be on any pink lover’s list. This beach was named one of the best in the world and is loved by travellers of all ages. Driving in Crete is a challenge, so we’d recommend taking a bus to the beach or booking a boat from Palaiochora for the day.

Though not technically a beach, this pink body of water is worth mentioning. Lake Hillier is found in the Recherche Archipelago in Western Australia. Unlike the other places on this list, Lake Hillier is best enjoyed from above. Take a scenic flight tour from Esperance Airport in Gibson to get a good view.

Other playful places to consider.
Maybe we wouldn’t plan a trip around these attractions – but if you’re already in the area, we’d consider stopping by. Here are additional attractions we think our adventurous doll would love:

Found in Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City, this bubblegum pink church welcomes visitors and garners attention from travellers around the world.

We’re sure you’ve seen this street on your feed by now. Lisbon is overflowing with adorable avenues, but this bright pink street takes the cake.

Talk about Scottish fairytale vibes – Brodie Castle and Craigievar Castle boast pink hues and lush gardens outside, while inside you’ll find intriguing art collections.
