Everything, it's a dump.
A place to sleep with a roof over our head
The bed was not comfortable. Bedspread had cigarette burns. We reserved a nonsmoking room but it smelled like cigarettes. Then, there were roaches!!
-check-in time (not flexible) -Staff (wouldn’t watch a bag when I arrived early and told me to leave it in the corner in a public area; rarely at the “24/7” front desk, not friendly) -cleanliness of room (cigarette burns on comforter, dirty curtains, had left an old stained roll of toilet paper on the roll instead of replacing it with a new one to set the room) -uncomfortable beds -location (known as “the War Zone,” after my second night I woke up to to needles/syringes littering the outside sidewalk or my room; not close to anything at all, from balloon fiesta park to downtown to airport to restaurants or bars) -door key kept inactivating and when I asked the staff why they said “they reset throughout the day” -no complimentary breakfast despite promise of complimentary breakfast -no noise insulation (could not sleep through the night because it was so loud, could hear everything outside) -did not feel safe -housekeeping busted the door open TWICE even though I had the deadbolt on and shouted “no thank you” -found myself wondering “is that blood or...?” multiple times
The TV worked. The water was hot.
Sheets were soiled. Bedspreads stained. White towels were dingy or yellowed. Room in general disrepair. Access to front desk unsafe (main door was locked with a hand written sign instructed to use other door) had to pass through dimly lit outdoor walkway at 11PM. There was a sex worker fighting on the balcony at 3AM. I had confirmed a smoking room, was assigned a non smoking room, and had to return to the scary outdoor front desk window to get it corrected.
I liked the front desk personnel. I liked how front desk was able to and did help me as ge did. I liked the suggestions and action front desk took to get me into a room last minute. Thank you.
I didnt like how long it took for my confirmation to come thru. I didnt like being put on hold when cslling customer service. I didnt like the parking.
