Location, fantastic in a great area close to centre on quirky shopping street and Jordaan area. Away from the chaos of the centre Staff were friendly and helpful and gave us some nice tips. Did not eat here but food looked great.
Noise form other rooms is apparent as is noise form outside. Room looked like need refurbishing/better finish especially for price paid. whilst bathroom was clean the room was dusty. Price was excessive for the room yes it is Amsterdam and yes pride was on so prices probably higher than normal but I would have expected to pay about £100 (120 max) possibly less for a similar room in London. Would have been better value if price included breakfast at the least.
The location was good. That's the only thing it has going for it. I really don't recommend staying here.
The room is quite DYI and not up to safety standards - when I switched on the light switch in the morning the entire heavy light fixing came crashing down and fell and smashed on the floor leaving bits of glass and plaster debris everywhere. We're just lucky it didn't hit one of us. We had to quickly gather our things around it and vacate - we were nervous about whether the multiple dangling wires were live. The listing said it had wifi but there was none whatsoever in the room. I complained about this but was told there was nothing they could do. I asked for a partial refund but was refused and unfortunately I had already paid through booking.com. I felt that this was very poor service and dishonest really since they didn't provide the wifi the listing stated. It's also super not access friendly - they're not just stairs, it's an attic room, they're like vertical stairs. All this for $160 euro for one night! It's robbery.
Highly Not recommend this place. Our room was at the last floor and stairs was very steep. We had two suitcases and it tough to bring them. No one offered us a help. The room was awful, the only thing that conditioner made was the sound. Beds were dirty, towels smels like dead and was sticky. We hadn`t wi-fi in the room. And the staff were unkind to us, they couldn`t help us, and just walk away in the middle of the conversation. I was shoked of that behavior. They don`t have a reception, because the first floor is the bar. And the visitors of it were the priority to them. When we just came and paid for the room, stuff asked us to wait a minute. After 5 minutes she offers us to seat and wait. I said that we tired. But she was rude and said that sometimes you need to wait, and meanwhile she was pouring someone beer. We came there for one night and want just rest and stay in the room that`s why wi-fi was important to us. I asked them three times to do smth but they couldn`t or probably didn`t want. I asked for some discount, to returned the part of our money for all that inconvinience but they offered us drinks, that's ridiculous!
Beautiful room with a lovely shower in an excellent location.
Not so much as a "didn't like" however we were top floor, so in the attic and the stairs which were as steep and narrow as a pair of ladders were a surprise to say the least! a little warning would have been nice. Other than that the whole experience was amazing.
Awesome location. Great restaurant and nice staff. It is a small place with a few rooms right above the restaurant. Basic room for 1 night.
The room had no AC or fan and was a bit stuffy, so to get fresh air, we had to have the windows open. We were one level up from the ground floor so it was pretty loud and frequently would smell smoke from people smoking in the restaurant outdoor seating. The TV was not showing any channels. No fridge.
