Pros: Large spacious room with kitchen, oven, fridge and good lighting and wifi.

Cons: Room a little tired. A fair way out of the city centre, in an uninteresting area.

Cons: The room had an bad smell.

Pros: The reception staff was very helpful and courteous. The young man who attended to us at the time of checking in gave us tips on travel besides all the comforts for early check in.

Cons: The housekeeping did what was not required and did not do what was required. They changed all the linen before the end of the first day itself ( which was a waste of resources) and did not replace the toiletries which were over !

Pros: Clean and great location from airport and nice staff

Pros: It was ok - nothing terrible and was a place to stay. Not TOO far from the centre in a car. Handy having a kitchen area. Staff mostly helpful

Cons: Our room had a musty smell, which just made me feel uncomfortable. Huge dumpsters, although concealed are stored inside the property as far as I could tell which also left a bad smell in the hall area. Location was ok, as mentioned above, it wasn't too far from the centre IN A CAR, walking would be a different story. Also located on a very busy road which wasn't great but it was our choice to stay here so not a fault of the property. Other than the smell of the room, the room was clean.

Pros: Very comfortable and matched my needs!

Cons: I was there during the heat wave. My room did not have air conditioning - it was very very hot in my room.

Cons: I found the breakfast a bit disappointing, very simple. In particular the use of single-use, throw away plates, cups and utensils for breakfast incredibly wasteful. Please Puffin Inn invest in an alternative breakfast serving option to prevent so much throw away trash! Thank you.

Pros: Price was okay at $54

Cons: Stayed 2 nights, floor wasn’t clean(dog food on floor), wasn’t vacuumed in two days, mini fridge had frozen and broken beer bottles inside, dark black stuff on walls in shower and in windows. Room was not serviced(no fresh towels) on day 2. Staff couldn’t seem to care less.

Pros: It was quite not one noise while I was sleeping

Pros: Clean room n bathroom. Close to everything. Shuttle driver was excellent and customer service friendly. I will definitely stay here again.

Pros: The beds were comfortable and didnt include any bugs. The hotel was quiet forbeing right by a main road.

Cons: The cleaning could've been way better. Found several items under the beds, food was left in the fridge, hair still in the bathroom. Not enough towels in the room. We needed the pull out bed and it wasnt made for us, once we looked at the mattress we decides against using it. It was stained ALL OVER with what looked like old blood. Walls hadn't been cleaned in a long time.

Cons: Not enough lights in the parking lot and we were not in the building attached to the lobby. We had to pull our luggage down Spenard Ave at 1:30AM past a couple seedy characters. Turned out we were not staying in the main hotel with the lobby attached. Walked over to the front door of what I believe they call the Annex building about half block over with an apartment building in between. Carried our luggage up three flights of steps. No security chains inside room. It turned out okay for one night once we got into the room. The room was pretty clean and bed was decent. Way, way, over priced for $170.00 a night though. Some guys were partying on the back side of it in a pickup truck so we didn't want to park back there and use their rear entrance late at night. Very dark back there too. We used the sidewalk on Spenard Ave. and passed a couple drunks on the sidewalk walking to the front door of the Annex building in the dark at 2AM just off plane. Street is not very well lit either in between their buildings. I have stayed in $60 cheap hotels that were just as good or better and probably safer. Staying in the part with the lobby attached may have been better, but more money too. Definitely the worst stay of our two week trip to Alaska for the money. Anchorage hotels in general seemed to be over priced it appears. Thought this place would be better for the price tag.

Pros: Breakfast was fine, location is close to airport.

Cons: We rented a moderate priced room. it is outside of the main building, it is old and in disrepair, the carpets were filthy with large spots by the door and cigarette burns by the vanity. May have been pet stains as it is advertised as pet friendly. Took about 45 min to check in as front desk staff was new and untrained and the supervisor was "in a meeting with the owner". My advice is to avoid the economy rooms and the moderate rooms, you will not be satisfied.

Cons: We did not stay at the puffin the room was not clean not to our standards and I would like to know about a refund. Thank you we might cross the street to the Holiday Express

Pros: The bed was comfortable and the shower good.

Cons: The ice machine nearby and outside in the corridor is very noisy. Couldn’t find a way to turn the heating down which made the room very stuffy. The toilet leaked so that the floor was very wet.

Cons: Rooms didn't feel clean. Bed had various hairs on sheet. Did not realize I was getting a room that had a shared bathroom/shower in hall. It wasn't too bad but not the place you want your towel or clothes to touch... well anywhere.

Cons: Was in a pod, it was very warm. There was a fan but still was warm in the room.

Cons: Cigarette smoke engulfed our room from outside smoking area right under the stairs to our room. Only dry cereal available for breakfast. Refrigerator was stuffed with old food containers. Carpet in hallway was stained and smelled of cigarette smoke. Homeless people loitering in back parking lot.

Pros: There was a complimentary breakfast of cereal and coffee that was a bonus.

Cons: Front lobby was a little hard to find from the parking lot.

Pros: Cozy, comfortable accommodations. Friendly staff. Pretty good value for the money, though. Shared baths kept clean.

Cons: Felt like it needed a few refurbishments. Fading paint, peeling wallpaper, a strange opening in the ceiling of a bathroom where some kind of a ventilator once was. Stuff like that. I can never figure out why managers at such places don't fix simple things like this. Doesn't take a lot of time or cost much money. The place is also sufficiently off the beaten path that you'll need a car or an Uber to get anywhere.

Pros: I had an overnight stay in town, and the single sleeping pod at Qupqugiaq Inn was exactly what I needed.

Cons: POD room adequate size but smelt like body odour. Bare wires hanging out of the wall. Light switch taped up. No television. Did not feel safe as a solo traveller.

Cons: Everything could have been better. For the record - I was travelling in a fairly large group and this is a review of the whole experience (all rooms we had). There was blood on the furniture, vomit on the walls, towels were far from clean. There was a socket pulled out of the wall, bath tub had holes. The bedding was not clean - there were make up stains on the pillow cases. The windows that have access to the terrace did not close, one of the doors did not lock, and all the lock seem had been broken into multiple times before. One of our rooms was occupied at the time of check in (another person was in the room when the receptionist opened the room for one of my colleagues) and was then "cleaned and ready" for the next guest in like 10 minutes. If you value your life and your health, go somewhere else.
