Pros: They were helpful in every way they could
Pros: Very cozy... Very clean, delicious baked goods!
Pros: This bed-and-breakfast was very quiet and quaint. The owners were very nice people and went above and beyond to make mine and my sister stay more comfortable. The room we stayed in was gorgeous and very well-kept and clean. I would come back in a second to stay there. I highly recommend this place.
Cons: Lack of hot water when showering.
Pros: The breakfasts are a great variety day to day, absolutely delicious and very generous. The hosts are pleasant, informative and know when to be a available and when to give privacy. Plenty of beach equipment available for use.
Cons: All good
Pros: It was the best breakfasts we ever had !!!!! Every day . the breakfast was creative, and made to order. Homemade cookies, muffins , cake , were soooo perfect. Best food ever. The owners were very thoughtful, warm, friendly, and professional, but very easy going and friendly. They were always available to make your stay more enjoyable. The house was perfect in every way. It was very clean, decorated perfectly. (Simple with attention to details), family centered. The bikes were fun . The stay was very comfortable, and stress free. We are so happy we chose The Tandem Inn .
Cons: We were spoiled the first 2, nights, because we had the 3rd floor to ourselves, and it was super quiet. This is minor compared to the whole experience , but when customers had the room next door, they liked to use the jetted tub late at night and early am, and you can hear the rumble for the duration. But again , it is the only thing I can think of to answer the question, and it is minor.
Pros: Really nice property. Very well kept and clean. We’ve been to the area several times before and really enjoyed our stay here.
Cons: The location is a good walk from the beach. However, the owners provide carts for chairs and umbrellas which helps a lot.
Pros: The room was more amazing than I could have imagined and exceeded my expectations. Staff was also very nice and polite.
Pros: The breakfast is the best!
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Pros: Clean comfortable
Pros: Everything was great.
Cons: Weather was too hot.
Pros: Clean and cozy! Very nice staff! Very good position!

Pros: Location, quite close to beach, Breakfast, staff
Cons: Since building is quite old, there was loud noise coming when you walk or someone upstair walk. Little noisy if you are looking for peaceful sleep.
Pros: Breakfast was yummy and convenient!
Pros: The rooms and public spaces were lovely. The included breakfast was superb. Close to beach and shops.
Cons: One of our rooms looked out over the breakfast area and the curtains on the window couldn’t open to bring natural light into the room. Room was always dark. The other room didn’t have that problem and was bright and airy during the day.
Pros: It was a block from the beach and they provided you with a beach towel and chair. It was clean and you have a view from the 2nd level eating porch of the beach. The office lady helped me with my luggage which was very nice of her.
Cons: The walls are thin, so you could hear a lot of neighbors. But it was quiet at night. The parking is a bit difficult to find at times on the street. Breakfast was ok but I'm vegan so I had fruit and brought my own hot cereal. Be sure to tell them in advance if you have a restricted diet or if you are vegan or vegetarian.
Pros: So nicely update and close to the boardwalk
Cons: Air conditioner could not be regulated in our room. It was cold.
Pros: Beautiful location right off the beach Excellent breakfast on the 2 nd floor terrace Staff were very accommodating Will return
Cons: My stay wasn’t long enough most relaxing vac thus far
Pros: It was very quiet and the accommodations were superb
Pros: Continental breakfast was much more than expected. Besides plentiful fresh pastries, there was fresh fruits, eggs, potatoes, and fresh gluten free breads and muffins for my wife. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Pros: The location of the hotel and cleanliness of the room.
Cons: The staff could have been friendlier. The lobby had 3 giant stuffed animals taking up one sofa there was a sign telling you not to move them. This was not a place I would want to sit and chat. Very strange.
Pros: Hotel is well kept and very clean with a nice covered porch to relax on. Staff is nice. Location is a block from the beach.
Cons: Bed wasn't comfortable due to lump in middle of matress. Room 1 matress needs replacing.
Pros: Super clean! Comfortable bed. Lovely hosts. Very convenient to beach and town. Off-street parking. Lovely front porch with rockers.
Cons: A few minor things. No coffee available or coffee maker/Kurig. Had to walk 2 blocks to get coffee in the morning. No cups in the room or ice available. Had to ask owner for some. He was gracious though and brought some from his kitchen. Beautiful porch with rockers had bright lights on at night, so when you sat there in the evening, you couldn't see beyond the railing.
Pros: The Saltwater Inn was perfect in every way. Aside from the owners being very accommodating, the location is great and it definitely felt like a beach oasis!
Pros: Amazing people, friendly and warm and so clean
Pros: This place was fantastic , extremely clean , bed was amazing , ideally located in the heart of Belmar n 2 blocks from the beach. Staff was a knock or phone call away for anything I needed. I highly recommend this place to anyone going to stay in Belmar .

Cons: There was a wedding so there were tons of children. However, that’s out of the staffs control.
Pros: Convenient location, great breakfast.

Pros: Clean, comfortable beds
When you stay at The Hewitt Wellington Hotel in Spring Lake, you'll be by the ocean, a 4-minute drive from Belmar Beach and Boardwalk and 10 minutes from Jenkinson's Boardwalk. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Many choices, i.e hard boiled eggs, muffins, cereals, fruit. yogurt, bagels, something for everyone. I also loved the lemon ice water dispenser available near the front door and the clean lemony scent wafting through the air.
Cons: The book containing various restaurants, menus and prices in the area was very outdated. It was extremely hot and muggy and the walk to the beach was an uncomfortable one if you chose not to take your car.
Pros: The location is amazing and the rooms are huge
Cons: No bar or mini bar available
Pros: Beach tags, location and style of the hotel
Cons: Air conditioner we were on the third floor, hallway was cooler. Inside shower curtain was full of mold. No elevator. Kept finding lower-cost rooms for the same hotel right after booking
Pros: Nice staff. TV was challenging to operate. Enjoyed coffee, cookies, and complimentary breakfast. It would be nice to have restaurant/bar! Thank you!
Pros: The facility was beautiful. The staff needed training in hospitality. My husband and I had a room on the third floor and no one asked to help us with baggage. There was no elevator so my husband had to tote a heavy bag up two flights of stairs.
Cons: Lovely setting
Pros: I liked the porch and the location. Spring lake is beautiful so just walking around was a pleasure
Cons: The only thing I can complain about it is the breakfast. Entenmans cakes and canned fruit is not my idea of breakfast. They have such a nice restaurant in the hotel that I was surprised at the lack of healthy choices. They did have yogurt and hard boiled eggs but wasn’t sure if they were store bought. They breakfast doesn’t open up till 8, it would be nice to have coffee (and decaf coffee too) available before then
Pros: Our room had a balcony which overlooks the lake and very close to the beach.
Cons: We have no negative feedback
Pros: Great location and very comfortable .
Pros: My room was comfortable and clean. I love the location. We love to walk so it’s easy to walk into town and fairly easy to the beach.
Cons: They do offer breakfast but it doesn’t open till 8am. I wish they would have regular and decaf coffee for you earlier. It would be great to have a cup of coffee sitting on the porch.
Pros: Beautiful room and a great location. The whole area was beautiful and very friendly people.
Pros: Breakfast was delicious (as per my kids). I personally loved the coffee - nothing beats a great cup!! The location and neighborhood was excellent because the beach was a few blocks away and the environment was quiet at night.
Cons: Overall, I was satisfied. My recommendation would rest more on the staff being more welcoming. When I checked in I was given a list of directives and how to and then sent on my way. Every morning when I would say good morning all I got was a good morning back. Like I said, I was satisfied. However, as a frequent traveler that engages with many hotel staff a smile and "How may I be of further assistance?" goes a long way to making for an excellent staff. Again, no complaints as all staff executed their roles.
Pros: Like coming home as I grew up in Spring Lake and love to return. I love that it is is close enough to walk to the ocean where I walk on the boardwalk every day. It is very quiet and comfortable and I can set my own temperature very easily. It is a value.
Cons: Continental breakfast is poor so I usually skip it.

Cons: The only thing that I did not like, is the movie selection; no way of renting a movie in the room....for privacy...
Pros: Amenities Spacious suites Quiet, safe neighborhood Walking distance to the beach and boardwalk Friendly helpful front desk staff Complimentary continental breakfast and coffee
Cons: We were told each room had a wine bottle opener but ours did not, which led to two trips to talk to the B&B staff. She was apologetic and very helpful getting me what I needed though, including my pick of wine glasses!
When you stay at The Asbury in Asbury Park, you'll be in the entertainment district, within a 5-minute walk of Asbury Park Boardwalk and Asbury Park Convention Hall. Featured amenities include express check-in, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk.
Pros: Great comfy bed, quiet room, great pool, great location
Cons: Didn't know the rooftop bar would be closed during our stay
Pros: The pool, the lobby with pinball machine, and a place to play LP’s. Walking distance to everything. Cool, Hip place. Walking distance to beach.
Cons: We asked to clean the room twice and the second time the girl told me they were understaffed and no one could. She also told me that she had to work overtime. I said can you at least bring fresh towels to the room. She said yes and then failed to do so. Upon checkout, they redeemed themselves and paid for my parking which I thought was very nice.
Pros: The staff is very friendly, valet attendants are amazing, the room is comfy. Overall one of our favorite places to stay.
Cons: We stay here every other year since 2015, my only issue this year and I know this is a dog friendly hotel. The dog owners aloud their dogs to roam a little too much for my liking, other than that we had a great time.
Pros: It has a minimalistic charm.
Cons: No fridge or ice machine.
Pros: The beds were very comfy and it was a great location. The roof top bar and Nathan the barman.
Cons: The cost, extremely overpriced. The room wasn't cleaned. The staff had bad attitudes. Lack of facilities. Too many dogs.
Pros: The ambiance was nice and staff was friendly
Cons: I have back problems and I did not sleep at all because the bed was not comfortable.
Pros: Fun hotel in a great location. The staff was lovely.
Cons: 5pm check-in.
Pros: The lobby
Cons: Luxury hotel? Hardly. No carpeting, Ikea-esque night tables w clip on lights feels like a room set up quickly in someone's basement. Service was bad too. Valet watched us unload all our bags and didn't offer to help, get a cart, anything. Never agai
Pros: Location was perfect, staff was friendly and helpful
Cons: A lot of sound from neighboring Asbury Lanes (even on 7th floor). The lights in the bathroom were confusing and inconsistent. Thought the cost was too high considering the facilities.
Pros: Close to the beach! Great amenities
Cons: The hold $200 on your card for incidentals and no one told me. That’s pretty significant and could cause problems for people. Make sure you read the fine print!!
Pros: Rooms were reasonably clean
Cons: Noisy lobby and hallways; limited food options for persons with allergies; extra charges for room refrigerator; spiders in room; not family friendly; description misleading
Pros: From the moment we walked in from a long train ride. Sammie welcomed us. She was a joy. All services were excellent. Came to see a concert at stone pony. And visit the boardwalk. Look forward to coming again

Pros: Across the street from the beach, next to the Stone Pony, super comfortable beds, great staff!
Cons: Could be cleaner

Pros: Location was good
Cons: Pricey for what it is, did not have a crib for my infant.
Pros: The location was was good. Close to turnpike and close to Asbury.
Cons: Unfortunately the room next to ours decided to have a party. At least 20 people. We first asked the. To be quiet ( around 11 pm) At 2:30 we called the front desk but no answer. After calling the front desk for about 30 mins, we called the police ourself and when we went down to lobby to meet them the desk staff and security were outside smoking. We ended up with no sleep that night at all!
Pros: Best bed I’ve ever lay on !
Pros: breakfast ex. close to beach
Pros: Pancakes and sausage and potatoes very good. scrambled eggs overdone with burn marks
Cons: see above! Scrambled eggs
Cons: The walls are very thin. Could hear every baby and kid crying and all other things going on from the whole floor, not just adjacent rooms. Also, breakfast was a poor offering.
Pros: The shower was nice
Cons: the beds were not as comfortable as I thought it would be for a king size bed
Pros: Cleanliness!!! Amenities!!!
Pros: Very clean and only a ten minute drive to Asbury Park Beach. It was close enough to the bars and restaurants that we could Uber cheaply.
Cons: When returning we had issues finding a place to park luckily someone left while i was driving around for a spot.
Pros: Breakfast was ok but the bed was very comfortable
Cons: The breakfast

Pros: Impressive property -- well maintained, recently renovated, nicely appointed, immaculately clean and well lighted at night.
Pros: Good location. Clean. Comfortable.
Cons: We asked for late check out (11:30 am vs 11:00 am). Starting at 10:45 am we had staff members banging on our door every 10 minutes. It was very annoying and rude. The hotel was not crowded so I am not sure why they were so eager to get in the room.
Pros: 10 min drive to the beach. The room was clean and staff was very accommodating. I didn’t go in the pool (bc I went to the beach) but the pool and patio was clean and nice.
Pros: Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful.
Cons: Ideally, the lighting in the rooms could be brighter.
Pros: We looked online for places to stay last weekend and happily found The Red Roof Inn in Neptune City. Everyone was so friendly, very helpful, and made our stay great. We absolutely recommend staying at The Red Roof Inn!
Pros: Huge bed and big shower!
Cons: Shower could use a nice cleaning
Pros: 1. Convenience - We were looking for someplace convenient to Asbury Park / concert venues - a short ride away, this fit the bell. 2. Staff - The gentleman at the front desk (proprietor?) couldn't have been more pleasant and hospitable ... standout.
Cons: n/a -- rooms are basic but as expected and not a down-side for us for this particular occasion / stay.
Cons: Chair was old and dirty.
Cons: The smell Poor lighting Outdated amenities
Pros: Pool was clean and beautiful. Staff was SUPER SUPER friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Bed was comfy. I even used the iron and ironing board and it was perfect.
Cons: nothing at all
Pros: This was an updated roadside motel. When we entered the room it was modern and clean and actually nicer than expected. We just needed a place to stay while at beach and this was a really clean nicely appointed room. The pool looked nice too. We usually stay at more upscale places but, guess what, this place was more than just fine.
Cons: Everything was fine. No complaints. More than good for the price.
Pros: Very clean. Free bottles of water. Close to my meeting.
With a stay at Majestic Hotel in Ocean Grove, you'll be a 4-minute drive from Asbury Park Boardwalk and 6 minutes from Belmar Beach and Boardwalk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Furniture in room very dirty and price was excessive for a small double room. Unlikely to visit again
Cons: room contents and price
Pros: Spacious appartment at great location close to nice beach.
Pros: Beds were great. Lots of pillows. Staff accommodating and relaxed.
Cons: It would be great if there were in room irons and hangers. They were provided upon request. Window screens would have saved on ac during the cool evening. Bugs leave open window not an option.
Cons: The room was falling apart. Duct tape on windows, toilet wouldn’t flush. Very old tv and furniture.
Pros: Location, front of house staff.
Cons: Overpriced, not really a hotel, more a guesthouse. Poor quality breakfast. Tired building needs refreshing.
Pros: The location was great. A block from the beach. The air conditioning worked great. I stayed in room 2, which was just next to the 2nd floor balcony. I was in town for my friend's wedding in Asbury Park, and Ocean Grove was an easy 20 minute walk down the boardwalk. The continental breakfast was served at 8, but I was up very early and chose to sample one of the many local breakfasteries in the area. I was pleased with the decor, and the kitchenette. There were plenty of outlets, microwave and a mini fridge with bottles of water that were very appreciated after a long walk. The bathroom was clean, as were the towels. The drain was at the opposite end from the showerhead, which was neat, and the water pressure was amazing.
Cons: I hate to complain about anything for such a reasonable find, but I do have to say, that at least in room 2, the queen sized sleigh bed was incredibly firm. Maybe some people like a very hard mattress, but I had a very difficult time sleeping. I was more waiting to wake up than sleeping.
Pros: Loved the room
Cons: Weak coffee
Pros: very nice place, loved it, will be back for sure
Pros: The property itself is in a quaint old beach town directly across the street from the beach, which my son and I really enjoyed.
Cons: It's antiquated, needs to be brought up to date. Small box tv, furniture old and broken, exhaust fan in bathroom was caked with dust. The shower knob had no markings and difficult to figure out which way to get hot water. The room was much smaller than it seemed in the pictures online. Will not stay here again.

Cons: When we came to check in we were told our room wasn't ready come back in 5 mins .we came back in 20 mins room still wasn't ready we were supposed to be given a free up grade but they charged me.was told the pool was newly renovated and heated but when we looked it was closed by the board of health. I could not get in touch with anyone the following day to see y I was overcharged for my room it was an awful experience from the un educated staff un caring to the awesome sign that the pool was closed by the board of health my kids were extremely disappointed
Pros: After a long drive, the staff was just great!
Cons: Overall, the hotel was very clean and well kept, but the room itself, not as much.
Pros: I liked the spaciousness of the room.
Cons: The bathroom wall at the shower showed obvious repair, which had me questioning the cleanliness. The towels were yellow and threadbare.
Pros: I have stayed here many times, however this has to be the best stay yet. Front desk associates were top notch, operations mgr was fabulous. She is professional, friendly and very easy to speak with. Highly recommend and I am coming back!
Pros: Location and breakfast were great
Cons: Had to repeatedly call to get any towels delivered. Toilet was clogged upon arrival. No toilet paper in either bathroom. Pool never had towels available. Vomit in hallway for hours even after reported to front desk. States tennis court on website. None. Room numbers made out of paper. Smoker in room adjacent to mine hotel offered disgusting citrus spray to mask the smell Would not recommend stay to anyone who is accustomed to Marriott brand
Pros: The woman who handled the checkin and checkout was fantastic. Very helpful.
Cons: I was there during a power outage and I was shocked that the hotel did not have a generator!
Pros: Breakfast was as you would expect in a Residence Inn and the staff was polite and friendly. The bathrooms were clean.
Cons: The kitchen floor was sticky, the furniture was dated and worn-out. The cleaning staff allowed the toilet paper to run out in one of the bathrooms (I had to ask them for toilet paper; this should not be). The Glass Mirror Closet doors were not secured to the upper runners properly, the "Do Not Disturb Sign" was missing from the room (I had to make one) and the ice maker within the refrigerator did not function (We were staying in a Two Room Suite with kitchenette)
Pros: Everything was fine!
Pros: The hotel was perfect distance from where I had to go.
Cons: I was dissapointed with the bathroom. I stayed in room 101 and the curtain was dirty the tub had rust and the tiles were cracked. I was also rudely interrupted with a hard knock on the door at 11am telling me checkout was at 11am when I had late checkout.
Pros: Employees were very friendly and helpful.

Cons: Air fresheners in hallways Hallways ugly Musty smell in hallway is turn off Doors need lighter color and added trim Looks depressing and almost institutional Room very nice though Staff great
Pros: The exterior is really interesting and clearly part of the history of the town. The interior was upgraded awhile ago and feels a bit dated but is actually fun and authentically itself. The pool was really nice and had a relaxed vibe. Location is ideal for Asbury Park - right near everything.
Cons: Could use a refresh but clean and fine. Some strange touches in the room, like the tv hooked up to face a chair by itself rather than the bed where you usually watch in a hotel room. The place is clearly trying to be energy saving and environmentally conscious but then uses plastic cups instead of glasses in the room. Wasn't a fan of the resort fee of $25/day that was added once you get there.
Pros: The bell staff were nice. The room was large and the bed was soft. The pillows were King size
Cons: There was no coffee maker in the room. The breakfast venue was like being in the basement / hall. The front desk staff were not knowledgeable and did not speak English clearly. Too many fees and very expensive parking
Pros: Location is perfect! Pool bar and entertainment was great, however the music was a little too hard! Could’ve been more pleasant!
Cons: The bed was uncomfortable and sank in the middle..there should have been a tv in one of the bar areas..my husband had to watch the Mets game on his phone
Pros: Room was dirty , not worth anything close to the cost
Pros: The staff was efficient and friendly.
Cons: The One and only complaint was the head banging music at the pool on Sunday. Quite a few people were remarking about it.
Pros: Great location
Cons: Over priced, nothing special, there weren’t even bathroom accessories. I’ve stayed in much nicer hotels for less money.
Pros: Location is great
Cons: Service is horrible.
Pros: Location and the room was decent
Cons: They are obsessed w making sure you are a Paul g guest every time you try to use an amenity. Pool is nice but no set up to help you with going to the beach...chairs, umbrellas or towels. Lots of missed opportunity at this hotel.
Pros: The location was perfect. It is right across the street from the beach, boardwalk and beach bar. Our room was spacious, clean and renovated. The staff called us at 1pm when our room was ready. Beautifully lobby too. They reimbursed us for our beach bands.
Pros: Beds were clean and comfortable.
Cons: The room keys didn't work in the elevators. Dark dingy smelly hallways. Our bathroom door couldn't be shut closed. Too many paint layers on door and frame. TV sensor only worked if you used the remote right in front of the TV. Overall not worth what we were charged. Expected a much better hotel. Also not enough personell at the pool on a holiday weekend. Long wait times for drinks and food.
Pros: We had two dogs barking early in the morning. Should put pet people together away from none pet people

Pros: The staff were very friendly and the location was ok
Cons: No coffee pot in the room, one of the drawers had no knobs, uncomfortable bed, no soap in the room as well as towels. We had to ask for them
Pros: Staff were very very nice, informative, enjoyable to talk with.
Cons: The area is not very nice, seems a little unsafe. Also, I preferred not to walk around barefoot in my room.
Cons: No blankets...just 3 sheets toilet wasnt bolted to the floor
Pros: We where refunded without hesitation.
Cons: The bed bugs and also the room smelled like smoke immediately upon entry.
Pros: Great value and lovely staff
Cons: Somewhat difficult location
Cons: Just being by that round about
Pros: Overall, it was okay. But the room wasn't very clean/maintained. Still, it was a good value for one night, just at low end of spectrum.
Cons: Overall, it was bearable. But not high standard of maintenance: Water leaked from ceiling in bathroom. Small seemingly benign flying creatures in bathroom. Toilet seat old. Dust on floor. Stuffy smell in room.
Pros: It was cheap
Cons: The refrigerator was unplugged when we got there never got cold really. We went out to dinner only to see multiple cop cars there. Don’t know why I guess people were drunk or something. But we had no way to get back to our room because it was blocked off. I don’t know if this is a bad neighborhood.
Pros: The reception lady was super friendly! The location was very good, relatively close to beach. The continental breakfast was fine.
Cons: The bed was quite hard. The shower water would not heat up.
Pros: Staff was friendly, loved the pool! It was fantastic! I really enjoyed my pool side room with the balcony. I also liked that the hotel was within walking distance of of IHOP and Shop Rite!
Cons: Loud people in the hall after 10 pm.
Pros: Comfortable. Nice television.
Pros: Clean, nice decor, office staff was nice and professional.
