Friendly atmosphere Very clean
I opted for one of the "cabin" rooms with shared bathrooms. The room was spotless, simple, comfortable, and had a good view. The shared bathrooms were clean and attractive. What surprised me was how well-thought-out everything was, they seemed to anticipate what visitors would need--earplugs to block out street noise, bedside table with anchored charging station, hook inside the closet door and luggage rack inside the closet, blackout curtains, table and chairs. I really liked staying here, didn't mind the shared bathroom (and I'm a middle aged woman), and found the staff incredibly friendly and attentive.
Coffee is served at 8 a.m., but 7 a.m. would have been better. It was good coffee though, and that's a bonus. Parking is on-street and restricted to 2 hours between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. so if you want to avoid those restrictions you have to park up the hill a block or two. Not a problem for me, the weather was dry and I packed light, but during a typical Astoria torrential rain that would be unpleasant.
Fun, dynamic and historic. Our room was clean and comfortable and beautiful!
We stayed in the VERY SPACIOUS corner room 210, the lovely large windows and view was spectacular. Great location in the center of Historic downtown with walking distance to some amazing breweries!
In the adjacent bathroom to the room, the toilet paper dispenser was in the way of sitting down on toilet so you would hit it with your body/arm in order to sit down on toilet. The constant noise from cars racing through the city at night, sounds kept me up all night. Street cleaner woke us up in the early morning; I should have worn earplugs.
the location was great. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel.
