Pros: Hotel is right on the Columbia River and from your room or the lobby deck, you can see ships and tankers coming in from the Pacific or going out - very interesting. Each room has binoculars to watch the ships from your balcony. Free wine and hors d'oeuvres at cocktail time - very nice. Free breakfast is more than decent. Free parking. Staff is very nice and helpful. Menus from Astoria restaurants available from front desk. More things to do in Astoria than we thought - Astoria Column, Lewis and Clark campsite and short drive to Oregon coast.

7.0 Good
Pros: The room was very clean and had almost everything that we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The location was good in terms of being close to dining options. We watched the brewery assembly line for entertainment!
Cons: It was not the fault of the hotel, but street noises were very loud and the bright light outside the window made it seem like daylight despite the window shade. All rooms were on the second floor and there was no elevator. There was no hairdryer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the VERY SPACIOUS corner room 210, the lovely large windows and view was spectacular. Great location in the center of Historic downtown with walking distance to some amazing breweries!
Cons: In the adjacent bathroom to the room, the toilet paper dispenser was in the way of sitting down on toilet so you would hit it with your body/arm in order to sit down on toilet. The constant noise from cars racing through the city at night, sounds kept me up all night. Street cleaner woke us up in the early morning; I should have worn earplugs.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect Central location! Great bed and beautiful room!!
Cons: Was a bit loud, but didn’t bother us!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful space with a European feel, this hotel was a pleasure, especially for the cost!
Cons: No improvements needed! Great place!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: God, I loved the price. I loved the cleanliness, including in the shared bathroom in the hall. An added bonus of a shower big enough to share with your lover. And a coin laundry onsite!
Cons: Loved everything, the decor of the room, the location, the incredible town of Astoria and the people who work at the hotel. Was a little puzzled that the communal kitchen lacked a refrigerator, and that the morning coffee was served with something so downtrend as Coffeemate™
5.1 Okay
Pros: Nice, simple aesthetic in the rooms keeping with the buildings character and nicely designed lobby that makes you want to hang out.
Cons: Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned, floor was dirty and there was a clump of hair in shower and more hair on the wall tiles. Extremely noisy with a mix of front desk music, guests and staff stomping down the halls and talking very loudly until well after midnight and hanging out in the lobby which is super close to the guest rooms also talking very loudly - though ear plugs were provided so I’m assuming they know this and expect the ear plugs to mitigate. Windows rattled in the sash so much we had to stuff socks in the crevice to make them stop- there were no locks on the windows, if there had been it would probably keep them from rattling so much. I really wanted to like this place, it’s very cute and front desk staff was nice but I’ll never go back. No breakfast either but they do offer coupons for free coffee at the co-op across the street.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a beautiful place, very clean and within walking distance to many things Astoria has to offer.
7.0 Good
Pros: Personnel were friendly...hotel was clean...
Cons: Windows rattled in the wind...couldn't regulate heat (too hot by morning)...a bit expensive given the shared facilities...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the location was great. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms and bathrooms and showers were very clean. Thank you to the housekeepers who did an excellent job!
Cons: Guests who slammed doors to use the bathroom at night.
7.0 Good
Cons: This hotel has no elevator so I had to lug my suitcases up two flights of stairs! It has no AC or fan so its prerty noisy with window open.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything we needed, including wi-fi and fridge in the room. Breakfast had lots of options, was promptly re-supplied, and food/eating areas maintained clean. Really liked the location next to river, river path, and Safeway.
Cons: Would be helpful to make the driveway entrance more clear when dark, by maybe adding spotlights. It was a little confusing for me, being new to the area.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Over priced for what you get.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Continental breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. The staff was all friendly and helpful! The rooms were quite large for the price! It’s conveniently located right next to Safeway and makes it easy to stock up on any essentials. The hotel was clean, and we appreciated the complimentary lemon water, coffee, tea, and cider! LOVED that the pool/hot tub is open 24 hours a day. We were able to stay out late and enjoy all the breweries and still enjoy the pool when we got back!
Cons: The only thing I could imagine that could make this better would be room service!

Pros: Staff was friendly
Cons: Very noisy hotel
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nice sauna. Lovely view of the river and cargo ships.
Cons: Bed was not comfortable. Fridge was not turned on.
7.1 Good
Pros: I liked that it was comfortable and after the first night, was fairly clean. The breakfast buffet was a plus. Loved hearing the sea lions barking, evoking fond memories of living near Monterey Bay in California.
Cons: The smell of pure bleach permeated the bathroom, and since I am allergic to bleach, I had a headache even if the bathroom door was left open. I arrived late at night... around 10pm, so I didn’t discover problems until the next day; however, the room was not properly cleaned when I checked in. I discovered someone’s leftover food in the refrigerator the next morning when I opened the refrigerator, and the toilet had not been properly cleaned. Also, I did not like that it was not within walking distance to downtown Astoria.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Nothing not to like. The room was clean and roomy - very comfortable. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was great!

9.1 Excellent
Pros: We just got back from staying at the Astoria Crest Motel in room 120. It had a gorgeous view of the Columbia and the Astoria bridge. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. I really liked how the sink, with coffee maker, fridge and microwave were separated from the main room and also separate from the toilet/bath room. There was a comfortable sofa that I kicked back in and watched the cargo ships. The continental breakfast and lobby area were very nice and comfortable. Lovely place to watch the rain this morning. The staff were pleasant to talk with while we waited for a break in the weather to go back to our room. The price was very economical and way less than the chain establishments in Astoria. Good Job.
Cons: The hot tub is really tiny.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Quiet- we had a room facing the road but very little road noise. We have stayed here before. They've since changed owners and fixed it up. There is a large breakfast area now with ample tables. The breakfast included make your own waffles, yogurt, cereal, fruit, bagels and other usual breakfast items. It's a little ways out of town but not much and it's more quieter and peaceful because of that. There's a hot tub and pet friendly. We got the no pet room. Great value for the money. We'd definitely stay here again on our coast trips.
Cons: Nothing
7.7 Good
Pros: Room was clean and cozy.
Cons: Parking for our particular room. The stairs were in the way.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Okay stay for outside of the town proper.
Cons: I was quoted $70/night, but charged $142/night. I would NEVER pay such a rate for a hotel that offers so little in ammenties; we could hear every word from our neighbors; and the plumbing was loud at every hour.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location was ok - room was clean
Cons: We placed the do not disturb notice so we could get ready to leave for the day. When we returned my husband went to the office to request maid service and he said that the front desk person was so rude that we will not return to this location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view, nice and quite, sitting in the hot tub watching the ships.
Cons: Liked everything

8.0 Excellent
Pros: location and the view
Cons: very small breakfast area.
7.0 Good
Pros: Lovely view out the windows (we had a corner room). The bed was quite comfortable.
Cons: We had low water pressure and the hot water really didn't get all that hot. And the foghorn just outside our room was LOUD in the middle of the night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was clean and looked professional. No caulking in the bathroom that was stained or needed to be replaced! The breakfast area was clean and the staff were coming in and out to make sure it stayed that way. You could tell the staff cared about the cleanliness of the property.
Cons: Nothing they could change. It can get a little noisy with kids running up and down the halls, but that’s to be expected.

Pros: I have stayed here many times. The food is good and love the location.
Cons: Was disappointed in the room as I have stayed in some of the updated ones and they are much better. Bathrooms are updated. We stayed 2 nights and did not receive any maid service at all. No clean towels - etc.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great view of the marina
Cons: Beds were not very comfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly, happy. I could tell they love their jobs. Views from the room were amazing. Clean room, comfy beds. Quiet. Morning breakfast was plentiful and fresh. After we had checked out I received a phone call saying we had left something in our room. I didn't believe we had but went back to check anyway. It wasn't ours but I was impressed that they did call. It was some jewelry and clothing. They were working hard at trying to find the owners. Excellent work ethic. We will definitely come back to stay again.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect value for the cost, great location. Picture is from the room balcony.
Cons: Bathroom wasn’t super duper clean, but it was just fine. Sink had a verrrrrrry slow drain.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The room was on the river but facing a marina full of unmaintained old boats
Cons: When arriving to the property the first thing you see is a boarded up rotted falling into the river what used to be the hotel restaurant & lounge. The room reserved for us was not very clean, had a collapsed broken bed frame & badly warn & stained carpet
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They use fitted sheets!!
Cons: It was a little dated and the toilet would refill loudly after the tank would leak out. It didn't leak onto the floor, it wasn't gross. It just would refill tank rather loudly.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was really not that good. Sausage dry, microwaved eggs and not enough fresh fruit etc. Oatmeal was the best part and coffee was good. Rooms do have a beautiful view of the marina that was nice. The water pipes (when a neighboring suite used their facilities) were very loud and disruptive to our sleep. We needed to keep the sliding glass window open to keep it cool which was fine until neighboring suites wanted to party through the night and you could hear them. The Staff was really nice and welcoming so all good on that front. Beds were comfortable and sitting on the balcony in the morning looking out over the marina was nice, but not unfortunately not a return property for us.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Better mattress, get rid of moldy carpet
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was great. Location beautiful. Very good customer service and good breakfast.

Pros: I liked that the hotel was on the marina. It had a nice view.
Cons: The hotel is old. Needs updating badly. The shower was ridiculous. I'm 5'4 and had to duck to wash my hair. Ran out of hot water quickly.

Pros: Enjoyed the friendly staff and fun atmosphere!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We will be return customers
Cons: If any gripes it was parking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Its a 1950/60's retro style motel with easy access to the main road. The staff was superb! Clean rooms, good breakfast. We felt like we had gone back in time to our younger years. The staff also directed us to an excellent restaurant.
Cons: It was perfect - no complaints!
7.0 Good
Pros: Value
Cons: The dog deposit and vagueness of policy prior to arriving.
6.0 Good
Pros: It was a cute little hotel, nice decor, very clean and well stocked. Excellent location with the restaurant and gas station next door. The price point was standard for Astoria. In hindsight, would've paid $20 more and stayed on the coast though.
Cons: The bed was uncomfortable, parking stinks, and the owners are bland for such a festive place. If you had to stay in Astoria, this is the nicer of the options it seems.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Not too expensive and so much fun! The lady at the front desk is great. There was a free beer, chili and live music evening.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location next to Pig n Pancake
Cons: No TV or Internet for two days Poor quality bed Very tight parking Toilet seat did not fit toilet Coffee was not fresh at 9 a.m.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The vibe this place has going is great. We were happily surprised with the decor.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The room was clean.
Cons: Cable tv out, no wifi, toilet would not flush, the lady that checked us in was very friendly and nice, the other two people we dealt with need a lot more work on their customer service skills. Unattentive, condescending, and rude.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: There are several 1960s style motels in this area and some are rather dreary, but the Atomic plays up the vintage aspect, making it as fun (or maybe more fun) as it was in it's heyday. Upbeat, helpful staff. I really enjoyed my stay.
Cons: I would have like to have had a dead bolt or security chain on the door. That's an upgrade they should make.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Cheerful. Comfy beds. We like the walk to downtown
Cons: Continental breakfast doesn't start til 8. No coffee maker in room

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Finally a budget motel with pride and style & the highest level of customer service. A great value!!
Cons: Parking lot
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing the place was filthy. Internet didn't work. Staff was unfriendly. Too noisy
Cons: Staff, unclean room, noisy, old dilapidated needs t be torn down. A disgusting place
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location on our drive and cost
Cons: Of course it is right next to a highway so road noise was expected. However, due to the surrounding buildings, the road noise is quite loud.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I thought the location was great. I was able to park my car and walk around all weekend which was amazing. We were close to some good eateries and breweries, and being able to see the bridge from our window was nice.
Cons: I know this was a peak weekend and most places in town were booked for the beer fest, but it did seem a decent bit higher in price than normal. However that is to be expected and I'm sure if I would have booked out easier it wouldn't have been as expensive.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location was mostly useful for us walking to downtown and saving a buck or two. They did agree to change rooms easily. Nice to have a mini fridge and microwave.
Cons: Our first room smelled so bad of mildew that I coughed right away. We tried to sticked it through the night with the window open (traffic noise made it hard to sleep), but the smell continue to be awful and unhealthy. Both beds made my back hurt.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location
Cons: Could have breakfast set up.
6.0 Good
Pros: Everything worked - beds were comfortable - easy to find
Cons: Rooms were not extremely clean, or well maintained. A little overprices for the look and feel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very accomodating
4.2 Okay
Pros: It was hard to find something good to say about this premises.
Cons: I booked this place as it advertised a breakfast was included to find that it wasn't and a front desk operator reporting, "we get that all the time but we haven't had breakfast here for years." I wanted to refund my booking to which they refused. Reluctantly, we stayed and were repeatedly disappointed. They motel had only kitchen suites which are $20 more expensive, it is not walkable to down town as some have reviewed, there are windows thst stare at concrete and there are cigarette burns in the sheets. The front desk operator doesn't have any modulation in her voice nor does she seem to care about your visit. The housekeeper was much more bubbly even trying to talk to front desk lady to which she got a very mediocre response. It seems I am the minority in my poor review however trust me, my expectations are not that high. I have photos if you'd like, feel free to email me (as they don't have the option in this review) and I'll send them to you; aglassofredatfive@gmail.com Don't bother with this if you can avoid it, we didn't have that luxury.

Pros: Staff friendly and helpful
7.0 Good
Pros: Right on the main drag... and the price was perfect.
Cons: No
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean , the staff was nice upon check-in- was VERY friendly besides that we did not see or need the manager.
Cons: Busy road, but the room was very quiet so it was only when leaving or entering. Again 4 stars...
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the price and the location. Was able to book last minute.
Cons: When I went to put my leftovers in the fridge there was already a food container in there. That was pretty gross to me and I was concerned about the level of cleanliness for the rest of the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The managers are the best...
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff are friendly. Room was very clean w/updated bathroom, good wifi, comfy bed and cable tv. All bathrooms include a tub!
Cons: Vintage highway motel, so there is lots of highway noise, though it dies down at night. Parking/streetside area is barren - could use a planting strip or pots to add appeal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Simple and clean room perfect for what I needed as was relocating to area and beginning work. Carrie the manager was a most pleasant and welcoming host for my entire stay which began with ten nights and ended with me adding another eight or so nights. All in all I was there for approximately three weeks and everything including historic downtown Astoria is mere steps away and I was on foot for entire stay. Most convenient and an added plus was the housekeepers were not beating down the door daily at inconvenient times. Housekeepers visit as needed so your stay does not feel pressured by having someone in your room every day when you're trying to work and do the daily grind.
Cons: Only thing which could have been better was something most hotels miss which was a clean filter for the heater unit. Easily fixed by me simply taking five minutes to rinse them out in the shower to help the room smell better as heat/cool air is blown in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean room, nice bathroom. I am a picky sleeper and the bed was just a tad firm for my liking, but it was comfortable and clean. I will be booking here again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: GR8 Chinese restaurant Nearby!!
Cons: Nothing!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: LOCATION....CAN WALK TO ANYTHING IN ASTORIA. PRICE WAS OK.
Cons: SINK WOULD NOT DRAIN BUSY AND NOISY ROAD
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hands down, one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in! The room is minimal but totally adequate. Staff was very friendly and location good for quick getting around. Can’t beat it for the price!
7.0 Good
Pros: Easy to find. Convenient parking in front of room door.
Cons: Close to the main road: traffic noise.

7.0 Good
Cons: Noisy. Wi wi does not work. No breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was fantastic! And the price was so much less than we anticipated. The beds could have been more comfortable and we had very little interaction with the staff, but it was a great mini-vacation that we've told others about.
Cons: The beds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was beautiful being next to the water and the property noise was minimal with being right next to the highway!
Cons: The fact that the coffee pots are not in the rooms anymore, it is a big inconvenience to have to get up in time to even get coffee and I didn’t care for the pet area.
7.0 Good
Pros: Same as above
Cons: Accessible and affordable.
7.0 Good
Pros: Better than the routine Motel 6. Furnishings were basic but in good shape. Flooring very nice. Overall, better than expectations. No reason to avoid this hotel if you don't mind outside access, no amenities and just need a good, clean room to sleep in
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely pleasant staff!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the front desk
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and nice
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was inexpensive and gave us a good night's rest. Also close to the riverwalk and coffee. The workers were very nice and we got checked in with ease.
Cons: The hot water and cold water were reversed. That was both in the sink and tub. Even with that you didn't always get a glass of cold water to drink. With just a little maintenance it would be so much better. It was too perfumed smelling, trying to cover smell of old carpet. Just change the carpet. I'd stay there again, but hope they make these easy changes.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: The room was very cold even with the heat at 80
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly. Staff was very accommodating. We enjoyed our walk with our 2 dogs.
Cons: There was nothing that we didnt like about our 2 night stay.

Pros: Great location, easy parking friendly staff.
