Close to highway but, far from downtown Banff.
Location was quiet just out of town although you could hear the trains passing by regularly.
Bathroom was only separated by a sliding glass panel,
Our room over looked 3 mountains and a lake which was beautiful. The hot tub was okay it was more of a warm bath than a hot tub (could turn the temp. Up) the breakfast was good and they provide you with 10% off if you stay at the hotel and use the bistro
The location was ideal for us as it was just on the outskirts of Banff, however within a 20-minute walk into town. If you don't want to walk back in the dark then taxis were reasonably priced. The Hot Tub was an added bonus, amazing views while we soaked our aching feet from a day’s hiking. We had a room that looked out to the back of the property and although these rooms are cheaper the view is still awesome. More chance of spotting while life too, which is why we were there anyway. The staff we interacted with were very helpful and informative. Free Parking.
We genuinely could not find fault with anything about the hotel, it’s facilities or the staff. All good. The room was quite pricey, but so are all decent rooms in Banff. It was no more expensive than other hotels we saw in the area and most of those seemed to be full of coach loads of tourists, which is not something we desire. Would we return? Definitely.
very friendly and helpful reception staff!
- staff in the bistro were quite arrogant, let us wait a long time although only 3 table guests (afternoon), were not allowed to change table although the bf was not even served, and the table-in-wish was empty until we left. - found dirty shirt in the room, behind the sofa
