We were given everything we required without any problems whatsoever. All items in the tarrif were freely available. It was warm, comfortable and relaxing. We had stayed previously at the same time of year two years ago and found no difference in service etc. to then.

Lovely big room, good evening food and good beer.
No record of my booking when I arrived but thankfully, they weren't full. My breakfast was very poor. The fried egg was like rubber and had obviously been cooked a while ago and kept warm.

The friendliness of the staff, very helpful and polite.
Their was a bit of a smell of grilled food in the ventilation system in the bathroom. There was also a function on somewhere in the Hotel area which was quite noisey.

“It really was a last minute booking to deal with a family matter but the hotel welcomed us and observed strict covid guidelines. Room and bed were excellent with in room tea making facilities. Food both evening and breakfast were very good. You were allocated to seating for dinner and drinks orders taken then food orders taken as the drinks arrived. They seem to have changed their policy on room pricing so rather then pay for room and breakfast included you now pay for the room and breakfast is extra but the room price dropped by £40 to what we have paid before and a full English cooked breakfast was only £8. They also asked if we wanted our room cleaned or not which in the current environment is nice - we said yes.”
“We stayed in a double room (quite big) with comfortable bed and a bath tub. Very clean, cozy and warm (we were there end of October). Friendly and helpful staff. Tasty breakfast à la cart (full English, veggie, eggs royal etc., with a very good fresh coffee). We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant: good service and price, tasty meals. I definitely recommend this hotel as being excellent choice for both short and long stays.”
