Cons: There was nothing I didn't like.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast on offer, and very attentive service. The hotel is beautifully situated and very quiet and has lovely views across the landscape at the rear of the property. Definitely would recommend a stay at this property. Owners were very helpful and happy to suggest local pubs etc.
Cons: The only slight issue is that the signage from the main road can be easily missed, especially if the weather is bad or the light is going. However, a large new flag pole has been erected near the road to help with this.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Lovely hosts. Wonderful rural views. Good location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, the location, 5 minutes to Clovelly, our hosts were so friendly and inviting, there was milk in the fridge, cookies and fresh fruit to get us started. Our room was the cleanest I have ever seen in a B&B. Also, it was very quiet and comfortable.
Cons: nothing, wouldn’t change a thing.
10.0 Excellent

It is the perfect location for those who want to visit Clovelly or Bude or other places nearby. Don't miss it!

Pros: Excellent breakfast and superb evening meal outstanding quality while sat over looking the estuary.Simon and Donna can’t do enough for you and are very friendly.Located mid way between the tarka trail it’s great for doing it over 2 days approximately 15 miles each way just over 60 in total , out off the property turn left along a narrow path you will see a sign for land cross and some railings in through there for a traffic free ride !
Cons: Road is busy not much you can do about that but the many positives out way

Cons: Nothing!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly.good room and super breakfast.
Cons: There was nothing I can comment on. Everything was fine.
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was fine, good amount of food. Beautiful view of river from table. Availability of wine for rooms was an added bonus although I did not make use of this facility. The bedroom was compact but sufficient for one person, sadly the view of river was only available from the bathroom. Perhaps more room for bedroom if bathroom had been made a little smaller by removing bath and replacing with shower.
Cons: I stayed for 1 nights dinner, very nice except a little pricey for the cost.
6.7 Good
Pros: It was ok
Cons: To far away from the town for walking for a drink

6.7 Good
Cons: The waitress was extremely rude. I was getting married, so booked to stay with my family and some of my friends for a couple of days before the wedding. Unfortunately upon arrival my brother and his wife weren’t allowed to stay as they have a young child - this was completely fine, my brother didn’t read the terms properly so missed this detail and had to book somewhere else whilst also losing his money with yeoldon house. My issue was when, on the morning on my wedding, I was explaining what happened to my friends over breakfast, the waitress listened into the conversation whilst serving us our toast and couldn’t resist snapping about how ‘it says on the website’ no kids are allowed. I don’t remember actually denying this, but didn’t fancy an argument two hours before my wedding. Unfortunately for the waitress, her is my delayed response.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean, staff are very welcoming and friendly, lovely breakfast. Great view from the glorious garden
Cons: Our room was a lot smaller than I thought it would be
7.9 Good

Cons: different place
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful gardens overlooking the river and plenty of garden chairs and benches to enjoy the views. Very good breakfast in a lovely dining room again with a stunning view.
Cons: Felt a bit intimidated by lady owner but I think that’s just me!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: all of it
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property with stunning views and nice staff - strongly recommended
Cons: It might be nice to have a restaurant for dinner (but the hotel offers drinks which is also nice)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very attentive owner and proximity to coastal path .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of this hotel is fantastic. It’s a short walk into Bideford where you can get a bus to other parts of Devon and venture into Cornwall. They’re very regular and inexpensive. It’s great to leave the car and explore. The hotel is in such a quiet location you can sit outside, weather permitting, in the lovely gardens and while away the hours. The host is so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. She showed a real interest in what we were doing with our days and gave helpful advice about the area. Breakfast was great. Such a selection and cooked breakfast too. It really set us up for the day. Perfect stay and wouldn’t hesitate to go back
Cons: Everything was perfect. We couldn’t fault it at all.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: English breakfast well presented and good service, rooms excellent.
Cons: no evening meals in hotel.

Pros: the staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was brilliant. it was an easy booking nd an enjoyable stay.
Cons: nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a pub and hotel with a great atmosphere. It has a great car park so you don't need to worry about your vehicle. We ate in the bar on arrival after a 7-hour journey from Norfolk and as we arrived a few minutes before 9 we were able to be served. The food was pretty good. Our room was small but comfortable and quite quirky which we liked. Great bathroom and towels all perfectly clean. The breakfast was pretty good too with a big choice. I asked about Clovelly as we were thinking of visiting and the waitress showed me a large leaflet rack full of local information. We were given a good room key and a front door key if required.
Cons: The double bed in the room could do with the mattress replacing and some better pillows. We didn't feel we had a particularly warm welcome and we weren't too sure whether the room was paid for before we checked out or we needed to do this at check out, so more information about these things would have been good.
7.9 Good
Pros: Oldie worldie
Cons: Noisy at night. Could hear other guests talking and doors shutting. We also had a very squeaky bathroom door.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendliness of hotel. Staff were very helpful and polite.

10.0 Excellent

Pros: Lovely place to stay. The breakfast was excellent as was the meal in the restaurant the night before. Huge portions and very tasty
Cons: The lighting in the bedroom and bathroom could be better
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Evening menu was to die for, but if you are planning to have a 3 course meal don’t eat anything else all day!! The portion sizes are huge but so delicious that you end up eating far too much. Absolutely divine. The staff are so friendly ,helpful and good fun. Nothing is too much hassle. Wonderful all round.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Location was excellent. Breakfast was ok
Cons: Restaurant was closed so we had to eat in the bar, which was fine, but we didn't get restaurant service. Had to ask for napkins, cutlery and salt and pepper
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Idyllic location
Cons: Really relaxing stay in first class accommodation
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location the room was amazing
Cons: The food was mediocre and I felt the price was a little too high for the food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This wonderful village is so unique and our historic hotel was just fabulous! Right on the water front! It’s feels very luxurious inside the rooms but is also so comfortable with a view to die for. The restaurant was closed on our night but the bar food ( we had a veggie curry) was delicious! Great staff and friendly folk. We parked at the top near the visitor entry to the village and walked down the sleep cobbled stone street, however there is a Land Rover service to the hotel as part of the price or you van drive down to the pebble beach next the the hotel- abut steep though. The walk down although a bit hard on older legs was so worth the view and feel of the village. Having a drink at our hotel and soaking up the Devon coast was perfect! Highly recommended
Cons: Only having one night !

Pros: Very traditional family run hotel. Comfy bed clean room, good cooked breakfast and great carvery lunch.
6.7 Good
Pros: Hi there I booked online so breakfast was £12 each but we were never given the option of full breakfast or continental. The continental breakfast at the hotel was actually £9. The breakfast was fine, not amazing but OK. Although as we arrived at the breakfast lounge we were asked if we wanted to order toast and tea before went up to help ourselves. We had to wait ages for the toast because i asked for gluten free.
Cons: The carpet going up to our room was really horrible on the eyes. There was no trouser press.

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The location was good for the wedding we was attending.
Cons: The decor is very tired and in need as a repair. The room was dark, and the lamps didn’t work. The room and bathroom was not clean. When going for breakfast, they do not cater for vegetarians unless you are happy with scrambled egg on toast. We attended a wedding which they knew about, but did not get told of the apparent curfew which is 11pm. The man there was very short with us when we arrived back at 12.30 saying he’s been waiting up for us since 11pm and we should have called if we were going to be late. After having such a good day this annoyed us. I would not recommend this hotel.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff were really friendly and helpful.
Cons: The cleanliness wasn't great. You could hear everything in the pub, so as soon as anyone was up and moving so was I. It would have been fine if the price was half the price we paid. It certainly isn't worth £80 - £100 per night.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was Excellent
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Service
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Cosy rooms good gym and plentiful hot water
Cons: Evening meal wasn't brilliant, would expect a country inn to have proper butchers gammon, rather than what appeared to be, supermarket thin slice packet gammon, dont think it was of 8oz as stated
4.2 Okay
Pros: The food was lovely
Cons: The room was very dated and in need of redecoration . The bed was very uncomfortable only had 3 milk cartons for two people thought that a little odd
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beds comfy sleep really well
Cons: Meals a little bland
8.8 Excellent
Pros: An establishment with history (if only the walls could talk of decades ago!). Excellent food and pleasant staff.
Cons: Having stayed numerous times and given the age of the property there are obvious restrictions in place as to what can and cannot be done.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location as expected .Staff friendly and helpful

Cons: nothing, everything was good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room. Liked having a settee in the room. Lovely dining room.
Cons: Skimpy on biscuits and milk in the room.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The food was amazing. Beds super comfy.
Cons: TV was broken. The lighting wasn't great seemed dark most of the time. Decor outdated.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The food in the bar we couldn't fault. Full English Breakfast would be better if cooked to order and not looking like it had been on the warming plate for a while.
Cons: Having arrived at the hotel the rude older receptionist informed us she only had one room available at £80 per night BB we already looked at booking.com who stated there was more than one room at £68 BB. We booked via booking.com whilst at the hotel - had confirmation that we could check in to be told nothing had come through and to take a seat after 15 mins of waiting I went back to reception to be told by the male it was on their desk but the older lady receptionist hadn't informed us it was ready even thoe we were sat right opposite her. Apart from the time of breakfast being told nothing else was explained. On entering the room we noticed a stain on the lampshade my husband went to use the toilet seat and it came off in his hand. Mould on the ceiling and dirty stains on toilet and sink disposal pipes which were seen through their weird glass sink. shower floods on use and a male would need to stand at an angle to use the toilet due to the ill positioned towel rail. Having arrived late and extremely tired we quickly showered and went for tea. After our meal we said we would mention in the morning as was too tired to mention the issues with the room. We could not access our room key failed went to reception who recut didn't work a 2nd time then hubby went down and was given a manual key. The whole experience for room 120 was disgusting. We mentioned our issues and showed the photos and was told we should have mentioned it when we checked in and they would not be refunding as the duty manager could not make that decision but to write a letter. Having been told that there was only the one room available there seemed no point mentioned it that night as there was no other rooms. Customer service appalling.
