Friendly staff on arrival. Good location for everything that we wanted to see in Bogota. Very comfy bed.
Great location, only a 3minute-walk to Museo del Oro. Nice popcorn snacks for free at the reception.
VERY VERY VERY noisy! Incredibly noisy! The hotel has no sound insulation at all - we were woken up at 2 a.m. by guests in the next-door room. We could hear every single word! Even after the receptionist asked them to be more silent and we could hear that they really tried to but still we couldn't sleep due to the noise. We spent a horrible sleepless night. The room was so crazily cramped and thus uncomfortable that it was hard to do simple things such as opening our suitcases. At the reception nobody helps you with the luggage (the entrance door is very narrow and to reach the lift you have to climb some ten stairs with your bags.) The chech-in process was very slow even by Colombian standards and finally the receptionist asked for more money than indicated by booking.com. Only after wondering why, the receptionist charged us the right amount. The breakfast selection for a four-star hotel is depressingly poor. Moreover, the food was not tasty including stale croissants.
In friendly staff, did not honour a request for lower floor when I booked
Cute room, very comfortable matress, good buffet breakfast with fresh fruit and juices, kind attendants at front desk.
The breakfast was great! They have a really nice dining room with a patio and a rooftop terrace (I never actually went up there). The staff that cooks and cleans are SO kind and accommodating. The breakfast is a bit different everyday but always tasty. The location is a short walk to the colourful buildings of La Candelaria and other attractions. We walked to the base of Monserrate (it’s a steep hill), but never really needed to use cabs or buses to get around (except when it was raining and we were tired). It took a couple minutes but there was hot water in the shower (I read that it can be an issue in Colombia). We arrived early in the morning and couldn’t check in, however they let us leave our bags there so we could explore.
The mattress and pillow are VERY firm and messed up my neck (side/stomach sleeper). Apparently it’s fine if you’re a back sleeper. You can hear the people above you walking around. No fan in the bathroom so humidity and smells linger.
