Orderly boarding, priority for platinum members, courtesy drinks from business class even when we were seating in economy.
The flight was good overall. Everything went smoothly, although the landing was a bit rough. Still, it was a pleasant experience
Very strict carry on rules meant most of the plane had to gate check their luggage. As is often the case had things that were broken because of this, but I appreciated not being charged to gate check. Otherwise good flight and great crew once on the plane
Some of the Air hostesses are not that friendly. Need improvement
Simply as follows:- First, there was no vegetarian option for the meal Second, only 2 washrooms for the entire economy class.
The flight was delayed twice and I could not speak with anyone at the airport about checking in. The phone number to Copa - the customer service agents were polite. They are just limited at helping because they are not at the airport
Great! The airline is very spacious and the crow was good.
Boarding groups were called up in Spanish only. Luckily I know some of the language. They gave out grilled cheese sandwiches and a cup of fruit. I was very disappointed. I could only eat the cup of fruit because the only other option was vanilla pudding. The entertainment system and seating were great though.
I was supposed to have a lay flat seat but they switched planes and there was only a chair

My flight was cancelled and United Airlines could not rebook or help. My whole trip was then cancelled and I could not go to the funeral I needed to get to.
Boarding was a complete mess. The whole system went down. People got wrong seat for the first half an hour.
The website check in was poor. Baggage fees were in US dollars but registered in Canadian dollars. The site would not accept my credit card. Scanning the passport was the worst. Someone from United needs to try the process. I’m not a novice with tech and I have to say this was a bad experience. Everything else was great.
We boarded the plane and were about to take off when we were notified that the tires had to be checked. Upon inspection, they were found to need replacement, so the entire plane had to be deboarded. After we exited the plane, United staff forced us to stay in the gate area by posting "Do Not Exit" signs on the doors connecting the gate area to the terminal. Many of us had already rebooked our flights and had no checked bags, but they told us we could not leave. This seemed inappropriate to hold people under false pretenses. When the agent told us we could leave, I asked them to please take down the "Do Not Exit" signs, as they were misleading. The agent refused, and I told them that it didn't feel right to hold people like that.
Friendly crew, but we were delayed for more than an hour and had to change planes due to maintenance issues.
Prefer not to have an almost 3 hour delay with useless communication that wasn't accurate.
Boarding was smooth and efficient. The only food was some pretzels, but it was a short flight. Not much to order if you were hungry.
Crew were welcoming, accommodating and they worked hard to find places for all carry on.

Not having to pay to sit together. Seat cushions were worn out and breaking down sitting on metal framing, knees jammed against seat in front of me. Not a comfortable flight.
Very disappointed with cancellation, then rebooking with booked friends bumped off & then a delay of over 6 hours!! Totally disappointing & all the anxiety it caused was unacceptable. $15 food voucher to compensate is a joke!

lack of older, great films. Too many child-oriented films. Calculate your % of children passengers, which will be minor.
I liked the staff's understanding Provided useful information and they managed to give me an aisle seat (for which I had paid) on the Avianca flight - seats which had been changed inexplicably. However the wrong seats in following flights (Air Canada) could only be modified in Montreal - which seems a bit strange to me because Avianca gave me also the 2 boarding cards for the 2 Air Canada flights.
I had to change the gate so many times that I got confused.
Flight delayed by 5 hours, they changed my paid seat and didn't get a refund.
They cancelled his flight and booked him to go to US which wasn't convenient. There was only 1 flight not going to the US and it had a 14 hr lay over in Toronto. Air Canada didn't offer any compensation and also the flight he is on is one that was cheaper than our flight. Horrible experience with Air Canada
Flight was smood. Nothing to say about the staff. Did not taste the food. Bording was not to long.
I like the crew who were very helpful in ensuring documents were in order and problems resolver in a timely manner. However I did not like the fact that I had to have my checked bag inspected.I was concerned I would have missed my flight. I was also trying to check in online only to realise that was not possible.
We had a quick connection in Bogota. When we landed, they waited on the tarmac for 25 minutes before they let us deplane. I told the stewardess that we had less than 15 min to get to our next international flight. She did nothing except tell us we had time to get there. We found out later that they already scheduled us for a later flight, but they didn’t say anything until we ran to our gate. The plane was still there but they wouldn’t let us board. When they changed our flight, they gave my wife and I a voucher for food that was less than $40 in value. That buys very little in the Bogota airport.. it barely paid for two fruit juice drinks. There lack of communication was very unprofessional. This will be our first and last time using Avianca.
The seats we had, did not recline and there was very little cushion. There was no entertainment module in the seat.

Overall, the flight went well and the service was good. However, there was a very frightening moment during landing in Bogotá. Just as the plane was about to touch down, it suddenly went back up into the air. The aircraft was not descending straight and seemed to move left and right, which made the situation feel unstable. This was quite scary. After going back up, the plane circled for about 15 minutes before attempting to land again. Although I understand that safety always comes first and situations like this can happen, it was still a shocking experience for passengers.
Seating was tight. Seats don't recline. Initial flight was cancelled. Lost two days of vacation.
Flight to Bogotá delayed by 3 h Missed connection from Bogotá to Guayaquil. Avianca unable to bring us to Baltra on time Overall delay 36h. We missed boat departure from galagos. Overall 10 day trip needed to be cancelled. Avianca was completely un-professional.
The seats were very uncomfortable. I would have upgrade or got different flight if I knew. I usually sleep in the plane but I couldn’t sleep at all. Very uncomfortable. Also no food or drink everything was to purchase, and that’s u usual for international flight.
I got to the airport and the airline told me i did not have a flight. I never got a confirmation email yet I did get charged. Please refund my money asap
Was charged for ticket, unable to check in online, made the line to speak to someone at the counter but was told I did not show up in the system as having a ticket to fly - even though I have the email with confirmation and credit card was charged. I could not purchase another ticket at the counter, only online which was not working. Ended up buying a flight on another airline at the airport. Called customer service to claim the cost of the original ticket, was told I showed up in their system as having a ticket but did not check-in or show up to board the flight. Currently pending review for refund via their customer service team, they were very nice and helpful over the phone despite the many glitches.
Do not book with this airline. Flights delayed over 3 hours and no explanation. They keep changing your itinerary every hour.
Really bad. Uncommunicated stop in Trinidad & Tobago for refueling. Extra stop added 3 hours of discomfort without allowing off the seat. Not even water, or chargers or boarding groups.
Horrible service. No communication from the crew as to why a 6 hour delay then cancellation
We waited in an overcrowded bus for over a half hour. It was uncomfortable. It would have been better to have waited in the terminal in a line
The food for sale on board has opportunity for improvement.
I paid extra for a comfortable seat in the second flight, but the plane didn't have those seats, the first one did
The Arajet person who greeted us initially was unhelpful & rude about the mandatory migration form which has to be completed digitally but the systems don’t work properly. The boarding gate was changed twice and initial boarding was delayed. Once on board we we had to wait an hour and a half before take off. It was hot and there was very little room for tall-ish people to fit their knees in. The crew were pleasant but working in a poor situation. The plane was delayed because we were waiting for people from a delayed interconnecting flight. Arajet must have known that before we were asked to board. Better information, decisions & communication were needed.
My seat was broken and the crew had to find me somewhere else to sit. The crew was extremely courteous about this
