9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is great. The suite has two rooms and lots of space. Full kitchen facilities. Shower and bathroom are good. Barbecue on the patio. Very clean. Nice pool, although it was too hot for us to get in. Books and DVD available in main building. We looked for a place to spent some quiet and relaxed days and we found it.
Cons: We were surprised that there is no breakfast offered during low season although otherwise announced. This is no bigger issue as restaurants are reachable within five minutes car rides. Apart from that: This hotel exceeded our expectations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the private, enclosed patio and the Southwestern antique elements scattered about the grounds and touches in the room. The breakfast was delightful.
Cons: Check-in was surprising and we required assistance from another guest to find our room key. In turn, I assisted two other couples to navigate that same process. The check-in process itself is really not an issue. The pre-arrival e-mail appeared to be a reservation confirmation, rather than a description of the check-in process. Recommend that that message be differently and boldly entitled.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are furnished in a coordinated, simple and beautiful manner. I love the options of private patios as well as the two pools and hot tubs with one being clothing optional. Great breakfasts, very good coffee.
Cons: Cookies need improvement.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nicest place to stay in Borrego Springs. We prefer the location over La Casa Del Zoro, as you are much closer to restaurants. The breakfast spread is unique and excellent. The hot tub is great.
Cons: Pool furniture could be updated.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location is good. Bed comfort was just okay. Ambiance is nice.
Cons: Check in process is weird. No beverages or snacks in the afternoon. Wifi didn’t work at all. Had to ask to get the room cleaned.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Not my preference of food but we all have our own likes and dislikes ! The pool and view of surrounding mountains and valley were awesome.
Cons: I got the e-mail a little late with self check-in instructions, my phone service could be blamed for that but John was very helpful and courteous!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Desert décor, friendly staff, awesome breakfasts, convenience to park, quiet location
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I quite enjoyed the option of two pools - the place was dead quiet & relaxing which was perfect & I also liked the snack selection for breakfast. Very thoughtful without requiring interaction or deadlines or whatnot.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful; Quiet; Private
Cons: Not the typical awesome breakfast
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nicely furnished rooms. Very quiet.
Cons: No-one on front desk for 99% of the time for check-in, check-out or to address problems. Promised breakfast not available. Room available $30 cheaper per night than price we had paid. No mention that the hotel had a pool and hot tub which was clothes optional at time of booking. I was not ok with this.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities and the room were quite nice. I liked the self-service checkin, although getting an email a few hours before checkin would not have worked if i didn't check my email from my phone. Convenient parking and easy to move your bags into the room. The patio for the King Suite was exceptional.
Cons: We stay in Borrego a lot and have been wanting to stay here for quite a while. The main reason i picked Borrego Valley Inn this time was because of the "breakfast included/excellent breakfast" benefit - We just wanted a nice breakfast at the hotel. When we looked for a breakfast at 7:15 this morning, all we saw was juice, packaged breakfast bars, ice water, coffee and topicana juice and the coffee was cold. Looked online for the time for breakfast thinking maybe it started later in the morning. After digging around, i clicked on the fine print. Low and behold, i find that "The breakfast & afternoon cookies are seasonal only from October through May. The in-room complimentary hospitality snack basket is available from June through September." If breakfast isn't included from June-September, it should not be listed as a feature when booking! The snack basket, while nice, was NOT breakfast. In fact, i initially thought it was a very nice hospitality gesture. Now that I realize it was to replace the "excellent breakfast", I am less than thrilled. If i hadn't looked so hard, i would have NEVER realized why there wasn't the breakfast was was advertised. Also, we NEVER saw any hotel staff the entire stay. I felt uncomfortable leaving the key on the check in desk when we checked out. Any one could have taken in, gone into the room and done damage that i would have been responsible for. Had NO idea that one of the pools and hot tub which was clothes optional when I made my reservation. Now I know why it was fenced the way it was.

6.8 Good
Pros: I stayed in the off season. They told me they were sold out so I booked online, but they failed to mention they close most of the hotel for off season so instead of the crowd I was expecting I stayed in a ghost hotel with the restaurant closed the bar closed and nobody there but they charged the highest rate, online, I have ever paid. I had stayed here before. They stole my money this time but never again. There are way nicer places to stay for less money in Borrego Springs. Like Zorro if you get a rate over there but there are others. I just loath scams and ripoffs, this place got me once won't happen again.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet and spacious room. Breakfast was excellent with beautiful view on the golf course. The pools were clean and pleasant.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our room was roomy, clean and comfortable. Everything worked. Enjoyed having a patio with hedges that gave us privacy. Liked that we had 2 bottles of water daily. The equipment in the gym was old, but sufficient. The pool area was pleasant with enough chairs and shade. We didn't try out the other pool by the restaurant. The resort was a nice place to rest and relax for a few days. As hikers we don't golf, but the resort was very convenient to the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park to hike. There is a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. We were told the food was excellent.
Cons: It was nice the resort offered bicycles use; however, the bikes were in poor repair and need maintenance, i.e., flat tires, brake adjustments, gear shift adjustments, needed oiling, etc.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I go to Borrego at least once a year (usually in summertime when rates are lowest). This is our second stay at this property~we like the suites as they are two large rooms, one with a couch, chair, table and television the other a large bedroom with king sized bed. There is a small refrigerator and a coffee pot as well as a nice patio area. The property is very well maintained with golf, tennis and spa facilities and a restaurant (which closes for summer). The pool area is large with some shaded spots if you need them and jacuzzi in a separate area. There is a second pool at the spa which I have never utilized but would love to someday. The property has a shuttle which will take you into 'town' if you like. They also have bicycles. Borrego is an old desert town with that super quiet vibe that Palm Springs used to have...I live in Palm Springs and miss the peaceful desert atmosphere....which is one of the reasons we choose to escape to Borrego.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very pretty resort in a beautiful desert. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful. Also, the dinner at the on-site restaurant was very delicious! Would love to come back!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The Arches restaurant on property was very nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great alternative to Palm Springs for short stay to escape cold or rainy coastal weather. Great desert hiking nearby. Reasonably priced for a good room and nice pool area. Best place to stay in area. I would return if price is right. Area is not all crowded. There is a golf course but I can't comment I don't play.
Cons: Local food choices very limited. Not the area for fine dining. Need Pickleball court its the new thing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Me and my husband loved this resort, it was beyond comfortable, clean and peaceful!! The Mountain View is amazing and the front desk staff was wonderful; It was a perfect place for our weekend getaway.
