A comfortable basic room and very clean - just what you need at a reasonable price that doesn't break the bank. The property is in a very good location for visiting Brighton. Cannot comment on the breakfast as we were only stopping the one night and left early the next morning.
We were lucky with the parking - arrived at 6.00 pm and found a space opposite the hotel. We paid for 2 hours until 8.00 pm and from 8.00 pm it was free until 9.00 am the following morning. We would imagine all small hotels and B & B's, not just this one, will have limited parking.
Hotel was clean but basic, staff were friendly. Centre to all of the shops and pier, lovely view from the hotel. Hotel is ok if you’re only there for a short stay
Rooms were a lot smaller than the photos let off, no car private car park is a concern as you have to pay for parking which is a bit of an inconvenience. Rooms were very run down and need a refurb/ flaked paint, torn carpet, grubby bathroom etc
Great location which was why chosen. Breakfast was decent but small portions
The room was sooo hot couldn’t sleep, no fans air con nothing. Also arrived at Hotel at time I emailed us arrive, and after waiting 10 mins had to search round hotel find cleaner to get the person who opened reception
The staff were really friendly and super helpful. Warm welcome, lovely. Our room was pretty big which was lovely and the location was so central, perfect for what we wanted. Really cheap parking outside too. I would stay again, the price was so good It contradicts any complaints.
Our room was really run down. It looked like under the beds were not cleaned for years but the rest of the room was clean enough and beds all clean and fresh . The old shower that was blocked off looked shabby. You had to sit on the toilet sideways, no room to put your legs. So much potential but seems like no money spent to make it more comfortable.
RUDE!!!! Arrived at 1.30. Door wide open and no one anywhere. Called the number on the door several times then went exploring, doors open everywhere, cleaning products all over the floor. Finally a sheepish boy and two girls appeared and he took our bags and locked them up which was all we wanted for now which was good. Said we would be back late and that was fine as still could not check in. Arrived at 22.45 and no answer on the normal doorbell or emergency door bell. Another guest let us in. In the hallway reception was shut. A lady appeared and she said everyone had gone home and disappeared. Called the number, text the number, left a voicemail. Went on the website, called another number. No answer. Started to panic as child with us and 3 adults wondering where we were gonna sleep. Carried on calling. Battery started to die so started to panic about what we were going to do. Friend then used her phone and he answered straight away sounding super high and dozy. Was really pissed off and said he was coming. Appeared within 30 seconds from the door behind us which meant he could hear us in the hall and he was holding the phone. I said the 2 emergency numbers and emergency door bell were useless as we had been calling for 45 minutes and he said "I know". He did not apologise and took forever finding keys and trying to open the door, again clearly high. Took forever then finally gave us the key. Refused to give me his name as he said it doesn't matter. I asked to speak to the manager in the morning and he said David was on holiday. Well David, your staff and high, incompetent, rude and leaving the hotel door open to anyone in the day then not following when to actually be open. Your hotel could easily been robbed and no one seems to care. Room was ok, bathroom was mouldy no soap or toilet roll and a broken door. But I can deal with that but humans being rude, what a joke! AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! And David! FIX UP!!!!!
