This hotel is like staying in an old town house that just happens to have some spare rooms. Crammed with character, very unusual, with lots of interesting objects everywhere. My room was huge - it actually had a bathroom, a small kitchen and a second floor inside it. Breakfast is shared, so you can meet and chat to other guests, and includes very tasty croissants, bread, jam and fruit. Hostess was friendly and helpful. The location is in a residential district, but it is easy to get to the centre by metro, and there is a station two minutes away.
If you are looking for somewhere impersonal or ultramodern this is not the place for you. Be prepared to chat, and having a little French is helpful (but not essential)
Cozy place and terrific breakfast. We stayed at the duplex room with loft. I love their mini kitchen and interior design. The host is also very friendly and nice. We enjoyed our stay.
We stayed there during the summer so it was warm. When we informed the host about it, she immediately provided an additional ventilator.
!מלון בוטיק מגניב ביותר It's one of the interesting place to stay. All inside is decorated like it's from some 18-19 Century. All amenities included, even microwave, refrigerator, kitchen utensils. The hostess - Myriam gives the attention to the guests and treats them with open heart and all needed attention. Thank you for a nice stay!
Absence of elevator could be a problem, but what lift could be expected in historic building of some 300 year old ?
It was an extremely unusual place! Not at all what you would typically expect! A lot to look at. Antiques and collectibles in every corner and on every blank spot on the wall. We love antiques and collectibles so that was great! The guest room has many interesting antiques and collectables, but it makes the room a little cramped. The breakfast had a large variety on a huge lazy-Susan in the middle of the table that all of the guests shared. The hostess was very helpful with directions to flea markets and antique stores.
The hotel was further from the train station than we thought it would be. Do not walk it with luggage!! Take a taxi. You have to travel through an unsavory neighborhood and past men urinating in the street!! There are no restaurants near by other than Dominos Pizza, which we ate two nights in a row. We were on the fifth floor, but they do have a chair lift for the disabled, which I am. But, it is still difficult with your luggage. Luckily a young man staying there took up our largest bag for us. We were put in twin beds! lol Not very romantic, but a lot cooler since there is no air conditioning and just one oscillating fan. The bathtub could use some handicap bars. It is very deep and difficult to get out of for anyone.
Loved the friendliness of the hostess she was a joy to meet and very informative on where to visit and suggestions of places to eat. The decor was incredible it was like staying in a living museum. Room's we were offered the choice of two rooms both were large and well appointed, they all include a kitchenette, unusual for a hotel.
Nothing, everything was fantastic, only disappointment was having to leave.
