A beautiful hotel in a lovely part of the country. The facilities and restaurants at the hotel were great, and nearby Capdepera was charming with lovely restaurants and great beaches nearby. The rooms and grounds were lovely. A great place to relax.
Sometimes the service in the bistro (casual) restaurant was a bit slow but the food was generally excellent, and the fine dining restaurant was exceptional. Everything was excellent overall and we were very happy with our stay and would return.
The finca, located just outside of Capdepera, is beautifully restored and appointed. Complete with dreamy photogenic nooks and sleepy serene corners, it's ideal for a weekend away in the more 'untouched' north eastern coast of Mallorca. Having originally booked a garden suite for the weekend, we received an upgrade upon arrival and found our room (no. 20) to be dreamy - the rooms were large and airy, beautifully designed, flooded with natural light and surprisingly cool (despite the August heat). The Mallorcan-style living area, private garden terrace and large dressing room were very welcome additions. The hotel staff were absolutely wonderful. Friendly, always smiling and quick to offer a hand or local insider suggestions for where to go/ eat/ find secluded spots. Key points of note - the beds were immeasurably comfortable, the rooms immaculately clean, well-presented and designed with everything you could need (equipped with glassware, crockery, coffee and tea, fridge, minibar, safe). Our adjoining private garden terrace was comfortable, charming and serene; complete with day beds, rocking chair, table and chairs, and large sunshade. The breakfast buffet is a delight - no greasy fried food or stale bread to be seen - full of variety and options - strong spanish coffee plus multiple non-dairy milk alternatives, freshly squeezed juices and cava, still-warm baked breads, pastries and cakes, ripe local and exotic fruits and nuts, a daily cooked-option (aubergine topped with goats cheese one day, and peas with pancetta the next) was a delicious and unusual touch, and the eggs menu (straight from the house-chickens) was fresh, well cooked and arrived to the table piping-hot. We loved spending the early evenings around the pool, which was tranquil and very comfortable. Happy Hour on cocktails was a treat from 5-6 pm. As was the champagne and cake brought to our room (for my husband's birthday).
There was very little to dislike about the hotel, the staff, or the facilities. Unfortunately our experience of the restaurant let the stay down a little - the staff didn't appear quite as welcoming as the hotel staff - and seemed reluctant to be entirely helpful. There is a poolside menu but no-one on hand to take orders by the pool. This becomes awkward, as it leaves you with no option other than to walk into the restaurant area - straight from the pool - and stand amongst seated diners waiting to be noticed/ have your order taken. It would be much more helpful to have a member of staff regularly attending to hotel guests by the pool - particularly as people seemed to be regularly looking for someone to take their drinks/ food orders. We ordered a burger and chicken croquettes by the pool one lunch time (the burger was not hot, and the croquettes quite greasy) and ate in the hotel Bistro one evening, and whilst the fish of the day and vegetables were delicious - we found the evening meal to be incredibly overpriced with most mains circa. €24 - and the fish to be very surprisingly billed at €85! Given the prices - the service was more akin to that of a fast-food restaurant, and therefore rather disappointing. Leaving us glad we hadn't booked into the adjoining Michelin starred restaurant. Additionally with such beautiful sunsets and views, it seems a shame that there are no communal terraces or indeed communal areas that you can sit whilst having a drink in an evening.
Great location and very nice rooms. Staff was helpful and accommodating. Family friendly.
The food and dinner service were poor. Lunch was OK. And the Michelin Star restaurant is definitely not worthy of star.
Amazing place, clean, excelent food, I wish to come back here soon!
