Pros: Spectacular views from the terrace and our top floor generous balcony. Lovely interesting town which runs down the hill from the parador with huge walled gates at each end. Great pool, food and relaxed ambiance.
Cons: Service could be slow but it’s a minor quibble.
7.9 Good
Pros: History character stunning views and a feeling of luxury
Cons: Pool could have opened earlier in the morning and many noisy children in pool during the afternoon. Staff ok but could have been more friendly and helpful we
7.1 Good
Pros: Position
Cons: Staff pleasant but impersonal
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel in 12th century fortress, beautifully appointed with Moorish architecture and tasteful modernisation. Great views from balcony, lovely swimming pool, even beautiful inner courtyard for smokers which was carefully ventilated and discretely unobtrusive for non smokers. Great little hilltop medieval town around it, close enough to Seville airport (26km away) worth making trip back for
Cons: Food was a little disappointing but wine was excellent
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was beautiful, in an amazing location, and very relaxing. I was quite nervous of our room balcony, but the view however, it was beautiful, I just realised I am slightly nervous of heights! Not their fault at all! The breakfast was so delicious, lots of authentic Andulucian cuisine, the eggs were the best. The pool was quiet and Raul, one of the bar staff, gave out free samplers of sangria and fruit. We just loved the tranquility. The local town of Carmona is a perfect place to walk around and find small tapas but we also had a wonderful meal at a restaurant almost directly opposite the hotel which was amazing.
Cons: Nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Great room with lovely balcony. Breakfast was super and the staff were the best. Pool and pool area is outstanding,
Cons: It;s not cheap but worth every Euro.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Ambience and authentic quality. It was also quiet yet close to everything
Cons: We had some loud people next door to our room but other than that it was great
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredible hotel, incredible views, first class service. In the top 5 hotels I’ve stayed in worldwide.

6.7 Good
Pros: The decor is beautiful and the view is spectacular and it's easy to walk into the town from there
Cons: Few of the staff went out of their way to be helpful. They answered direct questions but no more, parking was a nightmare and could have been helped by a bit more information and care. The hotel staff haven't thought through how difficult it is for guests who don't know the area. We were disappointed by dirty tables around the bar by the pool and there were lots of pigeons bathing in the pool which put me off my early morning swim. The staff were polite but no one went out of their way. Car parking is 11 euros a night in an underground car park I nearly wrecked the hire car getting in there and if it hadn't been for the chefs son showing me how to do it I wouldn't have managed By the time we actually got to our room we were very stressed. The decor of the hotel was beautiful in the moorish style and the room was comfortable with a nice big bathroom but attention to detail was lacking.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel just a short walk to the centre of Carmona where there is a great choice of restaurants. Room was clean and spacious with great views across the countryside. We had a few issues with our room which were dealt with promptly by the staff. Good choice of food at breakfast.
Cons: Swimming pool is nice but sunbathing area is small and there were a lot of pigeons. Walls of room were very thin so could be a bit a bit noisy at night,
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A hotel with character and a view that's incredible. Excellent staff, a nice restaurant in the building and another just steps away. The building is very well maintained. Carmona is historically important and well worth a visit, the Hotel Alcázar De La Reina is the perfect place to stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is situated in a great location in the historic town center. We had no problem with a parking near the hotel. Our room was very spacious and stylish and also very clean. Breakfast was tasty and the receptionists were helpful. Bus transport from Carmona to Sevilla was adequate. If you prefer staying in smaller quiet town with a historic atmosphere, Carmona is a good choice.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Every thing
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is stunning, the beds very comfortable, a lovely swimming pool, great breakfast. Lovely bathroom
Cons: Poor shower, so disappointing in such a lovely hotel. They offered airport shuttle service but after I had booked the hotel and then asked for the service it was not available. That was the main reason for booking this venue.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice pool, comfortable bed and in general a Beautiful hotel.
Cons: Couldn’t order drinks by the pool all day and food was only available at certain time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Oves the location and the relaxed atmosphere. Staff very helpful
Cons: Nothing
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Location and parking out in front of the hotel
Cons: Noise- inside and road noise outside due to the cobbled street
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location and lovely pool, friendly staff
Cons: Breakfast was rather formulaic and impersonal. Parking as always is an issue in historic towns, but the hotel charged €11 per day for their car park which considering there was virtually no other option seemed rather steep.

7.1 Good
Pros: nice location // small, cool terraces inside the building // quiet //
Cons: shower only had cold water // room only had a window looking into storage room. as the hotel almost had no guests i think a room with a view/a window could have been possible when i see all the nice pictures of other rooms.
7.1 Good
Pros: quaint older hotel in the centre of the old town with quiet rooms . The small guest lounge room and court yard were good areas to relax. Luggage storage after we checked out was helpful
Cons: Cold buffet breakfast with on staff attending to assist. No parking at the hotel and not even a place to stop to unload luggage . we had to hold up traffic while we hastily unloaded luggage , no offer of assistance from the Hotel . Seemed they only had one person working there during our stay . Overpriced
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Such a beautiful place!
Cons: Breakfast time was a bit loud, a lot of people in a small room. Apart from that everything was excellent.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property and our room were very nice and you can feel and see the history.
Cons: There was just one bed lamp in our room and that was quite weak so the other person could not read in bed. Apart from that we really enjoyed our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff ,Very good breakfast ....beautiful gardens patios....Hotel is comfortable.
Cons: For all was Good
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, fab location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mariangeles (sorry if I’ve spelled it wrongly) gave us awonderful welcome and the room was fabulous. The hotel is beautiful and packed with character and there is a lovely patio area and super roof terrace. Oh....and the bath in our room was huge, sunken and gorgeous. Thank you
Cons: There were no coffee or tea making facilities (other than at breakfast time) which was a pity as that would have improved our stay
6.7 Good
Pros: High ceilings and after we asked to move on day 2, we liked the sliver of sunlight that reached us, and the Nina room. Location was good though made some of the driving to get there a little challenging owing to the location in the old town.
Cons: On night one, in Visperas room, our bathroom had been cobbled together and virtually shared space with the bathroom in the adjoining Himno room. Consequently there was little privacy in that respect. We appreciated being able to move to Nina room which we found much more traveller friendly in all respects. Overall price was a little high for what was offered in our opinion. Breakfast was nothing too flash and as is usual in many parts of Andalucia, there is little emphasis on having muesli, yogurt or non lactose alternatives. Parking was manageable but required a long walk and some tricky space navigation.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Truly splendid, majestic building adorned with beautiful furniture and artwork throughout. This is a family run hotel with Maria at the helm who performs miracles! The service and cuisine are second to none. The grounds are well kept and the pool area is lovely with a very handy 'honesty' bar for guests. Evening meals and breakfasts are excellent and drinks are fairly priced. Superior room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Highly recommended!
Cons: Very little! Maybe some extra pillows on the bed but our fault for not asking.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful old hacienda. 25 km from Sevilla. Large room, fine breakfast. Beautiful swimming pool and attractive interior that matches the old hacienda. Nice hosts with humor. Recommended!
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very sufficient. fruit, yoghurt, cooked eggs and a wonderful potatoepie every morning. The accommodation exceeded our expectations and we loved it all. We will return to this wonderful relaxing place. Close to everything with car. Carmona is a special surprise and this little gem of a historic town was a good start to a great trip.
Cons: I cannot think of anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly and caring. The place was in an excellent location for us. It was clean, friendly and cozy, like being in a private country house. It met my expectations and my daughter's. The place has a lot of charm.
Cons: Honestly there is nothing I did not like as I think the value for the money was reasonable. It all gets to personal taste, we were comfortable and happy and we intend to come back next February and march. We hope there will be a room available.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A splendid hotel offering a unique experience of accommodation. The 400 year old building oozes charm and character, whilst providing luxurious comfort and exceptional helpfulness and friendliness. Although remotely set at the end of a bumpy track and not very well signed from the main road, we were amazed when we walked through the door. We used it as our base for visiting Seville by car, and found it easy to catch the train from Brenes into the centre of the city. Excellent continental breakfast and the restaurant offered a good choice of home cooked food. The hotel was very quiet when we were visiting and we were made to feel like welcomed guests in someone's home. Perfect and a very memorable part of our holiday!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpfull people and nice food/drinks.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable, with a nice swimming pool and beautiful garden. Close to Carmona and Sevilla. You need a car though. Room was spacious and proper bathroom. You could sit either inside or outside the building at various nice spots. Very price worthy.
Cons: Though very hospitable and friendly, not really cozy. A bit detached, as a conference hotel. Could be due to the minimum number of guests mid October. The road to the hacienda was potholed and muddy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A fantastic historic building full of charm and character. Loved the artwork.
Cons: Shame the sun wasn’t shining. Grounds a bit shabby.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The wonderful lady Mirabel was so very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. She arranged early dinners for us and also let us keep our room for a few hours after usual check out time. Good English speaking too

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, comfortable and excellent location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel is in one of the central square , so it has a number of bars /restaurants on the doorstep . 7.5 Good
Pros: Close to the airport, comfortable bed. Great for 1 or 2nights
Cons: A bit noisy from the corridor
6.7 Good
Pros: The hotel is far from the center, airport and other attractions therefore you need to rent a car or take a taxi all the time, it is and Ok hotel for the price.
Cons: There is no elevator, so if you are traveling with suitcases this maybe a little bit difficult.
7.1 Good
Pros: They have a fridge in the room which is very must in Andalucia I would say. NIce gentleman at the reception. Clean room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It's close to the airport
Cons: As it is on the main road, it is in the rooms that are very loud by the road.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and near airport
Cons: Language barrier
6.7 Good
Pros: The hotel was chosen solely for it's proximity to Seville airport and being on the A-4 meant we could be there in 10 minutes. We were aware there was no restaurant on the premises, so brought some food with us.
Cons: The bed was not the greatest we've slept on, but it was only for one night.
7.1 Good
Pros: Beautiful hotel... rooms had a unique layout... great price...
Cons: Pillows were flat, mattress was too hard
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location near the airport. The hotel doesn't serve breakfast, but there is a restaurant next to the hotel. I didn't visit the restaurant. Google said the restaurant is open on Sunday at night, but it was closed when I arrived. Another place nearby was open at that time. Friendly service. Clean hotel. Unique interior architecture (layout of the rooms in the hallway) Very classic, beautiful, specially for a basic hotel. The hotel might be less accessible for people in wheelchairs, the entrance has steps. There might be another entrance. If booking with a wheelchair best to ask about this first.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: location, right beside the airport. clean and comfortable.
Cons: no bar or even a coffee machine.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old house with character. Our rooms were huge with comfortable beds & a great bathroom. The staff were absolutely delightful and couldn’t do enough for us, especially the lovely lady who made breakfast & coffee for us every morning The food was awesome!
Cons: Quite run down in places and getting a little tired. Needs renovation! But still a lovely place to stay. No WiFi except at reception!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Delightful and quirky old Palace with carefully thought out decor in the public areas and bedrooms
Cons: Wifi was very poor
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We loved the faded opulence and quirky nature of the hotel. The kids loved the pool and the loggia was a lovely place to spend the afternoon avoiding the heat of the day.
Cons: The only member of staff on duty was on reception and when asked for a bottle of rose for us to drink by the pool she struggled to get anything as the bar didn’t open until the evening. We ended up with a jug of iced water. Breakfast was advertised in the bedroom as €20 per person which seems very overpriced!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic building
Cons: Very quiet
5.0 Okay
Pros: Liked the town of Carmona. The hotel is a beautiful building, which is sadly in need of serious repair. It would be fine for a young couple with their sense of humour still in tact - if you are desperate for a relaxing holiday where you are made to feel welcome and actively looked after, particularly if you have teenagers in tow, this is not for you. Had the pool to ourselves as the hotel was pretty much abandoned most of the time. The cleaners and the guy who fixed the pool were friendly.
Cons: the whole family got stuck between floors in the decrepit lift with no air conditioning within 5 minutes of arrival. Had to climb out, bruising my legs and risking getting crushed by the door on exit. The receptionist dumped us in our room and left to calm herself down. That was the extent of our welcome, no info in the room about the hotel or area and wifi didn't work. We went to discover the hotel ourselves, it seemed completely abandoned and was a bit creepy staying there the first night. Had to pay 40 euros deposit for 4 pool towels(another saga to get this back!).We were told we should book for dinner....we arrived at an empty restaurant, they didn't have any of the food on the menu we asked for and made no recommendations as to what they could offer so we left to find another restaurant in town. We didn't risk the 15 Euro a head breakfast in case that was non existent too. Feels like a failing business in need of some sector knowledge and enthusiasm.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place that creates an unbelievable atmosphere
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic place, and swimming in the pool. Location very interesting.
Cons: Certainly the surroundings of the pool need refreshment ....
6.3 Good
Pros: The Casa Palacio de Carmona hotel is an ancient building which conveys a deep sense of history. The internal courtyards, main staircase and reception rooms have very high ceilings and suggest the former grandeur of the mansion. I liked the plants and scented flowers in the building.
Cons: The swimming pool didn’t look clean. The breakfast was priced at 20 Euros, so we didn’t try it. The bedrooms were very hot and the air conditioning was antiquated, so I couldn’t get the temperature to a comfortable level. My companion had better luck in his room. While we were greeted warmly on arrival, another person on reception when we checked out virtually ignored us. There was no “thank you for staying with us” nor a farewell.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: XVI th century house! Very friendly staff arranged for dog sitting while we went to Caminito del Rey.
Cons: A room for 6 with central light switch. No lights or lights for everyone.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely rustic hotel in the centre of Carmona. Carmona has very very little to do in it and the stores don't open until late int he day. The 2 ladies on reception were very friendly. Hotel is an old converted palace, a lot of period features. The entire place is quirky and pretty. Room was very big. Evening meal in restaurant was extremely nice. Breakfast plentiful. Nice and cool in the summer heat.
Cons: The size of the place means a lot of dust (house keeping was very good, but its a simple fact with large old places.) We requested an earlier breakfast (08.00) due to a flight but this was not passed on so we had a very rushed breakfast at 08.30 and left at 08.45. Again relating the the fact that this is an old house, the rooms were creaky and myself an my daughter (8) tripped twice on loose floorboards. The pool is freezing. Lack of parking at hotel and even in town (my husband had to drive around a bit at first to find a space).
