Pros: Our room was huge and very comfortable. Parking was available within the property which was great for us. The staff was great, and the breakfast was very nice with fresh orange juice. We weren't able to take advantage of the lovely patio. Cristina was very attentive to all of us. Make sure you check your cell phone or email for information on checking in.
Cons: Very few restaurants in the area, but the manager did recommend a nice one about a mile walk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are really helpful and friendly. It is situated close to everything. The rooms are always clean and comfortable and you have access to the kitchen and the breakfast offered covers most tastes. Would recommend to anyone.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Paradise Island in the middle of City ! -- this Guest House is so nice, that you'll definitively wish to stay more and enjoy its nice room and garden more longer than initially planned ;-)) -- so nice surprise ! no words.. The place is so quite, you cannot believe you have building around while sitting in the garden and drinking your 4th cup of morning coffee.. ;-)) The room is simply excellent ! Very clean and so pleasant from all points of view. Air conditioning is also in place in case it's too hot outside. Parking place available around and also inside property. And in the morning as final touch, an excellent breakfast is waiting for you, with a vide choice of food for any kind of taste.. So fun! -- however, mind to visit Castelo Branco itself ! -- you can simply walk from this location to jump to streets full of history, and reach the Castel itself on the top of the city.. -- may only wish to come back there one day again ;-))

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Located close to the bus station. The staff were helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good facilities and excellent value, it included breakfast. The hosts were very friendly and had just got a 1 week old chick which was so cute. The small outside garden terrace was very pleasant. There was only a couple of parking slots in the front of the property, but lots of spaces very close by so no problems. Recommend this to you and can't imagine why anyone would pay for an expensive hotel.
Cons: We loved everything, but the only slight issue (which is not the fault of the property) is that our car Sat Nav did not recognise the smaller local roads, and I couldn't pick up a signal for Google maps on my phone, so my advice is to print off a map from Google maps before you set off.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very good overnight stay. Room very pleasant, good communication prior to arrival re arrangements for accessing accommodation. Lovely garden area at back and small balcony to our room. About a 15 minute walk to town
Cons: Nothing, it was lovely

9.6 Excellent
Pros: First Class Service from Sandra & Carlos, nothing was too much trouble from the moment we arrived to when we departed. Farmhouse has been beautifully converted with a mix of modern & traditional decor. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable & the air conditioning worked properly. The service was superb with a lovely breakfast. Although they don't do evening meals, we were offered tapas consisting of a salad, bread, ham & cheeses washed down by a bottle of red & white wine which we were only charged €12 each! Highly recommended for service & quailty.

Cons: Noisy aircon
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean and comfortable room, parking available just outside the hotel.
Cons: Location is not best, it’s situated in the outskirts of Castelo Branco. It is an old hotel that is being refurbished and presently it’s just a three-star hotel. The indoor swimming pool needs quite a bit of TLC. Besides you need to pay 5 euros for a swimming cap if you want ro use the indoor pool!
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Great facilities, pool area, gym, massage room, excellent restaurant, and the view to die for. Worth the steep hill climb for the 360 degree view! And then you are very close to the fort at the top.
Cons: The restaurant lunch was inflexible, and we were asked to have the all inclusive buffet, when we only required a snack. A la carte was not encouraged.

Pros: The staff are friendly and Always helpful. The menu choices are great and we highly recommend the nightly buffet service for dinner.
Cons: The only downside.on this visit was the renovations being undertaken during our stay. However, they were managed well and the vouchers for a local pool made up for the inconvenience of not having their pool open.

6.7 Good
Pros: Staff, location and it was very central, the hotel also had a small car park. I would go back once the rooms are refurbished.
Cons: The staff were excellent, very efficient, professional and welcoming. My main problem was with the room . The carpet looked filthy although I was assured it was clean, just old. I was in room 314, I asked to be moved and was shown room 114, the carpet was much the same so I kept my room and wore sandals rather than walk in it.

4.0 Okay
Pros: This hotel was quite hard to find arriving by car. In other respects it was adequate; not special in any way. Except perhaps the restaurant which was very good and the service there was excellent. On the other hand, trying to get a drink at the bar in the hotel was like pulling teeth.
Cons: As before, hard to find and very hard to get a drink in the bar.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly personnel, a superb restaurant, very clean rooms and an excellent price/quality rate. An absolute must if you travel in this region.

2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing.

6.3 Good
Cons: reservation mentioned room with bathroom and there was none.
6.3 Good
Pros: the patio and old atmosphere. you are in a real old environment, just as in my childhood in the 70s. The ladies who clean are very kind. The couple who runs the place have answer very polite and diligent to my reclamation.
Cons: needs recognition of modern customers needs. specially to be a place to rest. needs reinvestment.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The aircon, mattress okay, all linen supplied, maybe not new but everywhere clean. Slept fine. So ok for the price, but not as close to rail station as others which were fully booked.
Cons: I had read reviews so I wasn't expecting perfection and all mod cons. The whole place does need updating. The proprietors were cordial, not much communication, but to be fair my Portuguese is limited as is there English. It was an extremely hot day mid to late 30's (C), room was at top floor where you pass by the external parts of aircon system. Room key is ancient, only turns in an unusual position, took 10 mins to unlock. Room basic with a wasted huge wardrobe. The only window was in bathroom, but a view of concrete wall only. Beautiful wood flooring but tiles missing at foot of bed enroute to bathroom!! I would only use again if nothing else available, price befitting, but had cheaper, nearer station and more space and facilities. This accommodation is only over a kilometre from train station, the owner gave me the number and I pre-booked, but cost just under €7
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing. They put private bathroom but it's only a toilet no shower. Have to go out use common bathroom
Cons: The place is not a very convenient location for travelers. The place is clean but we are so shocked that this is being manage by a very old couple. They should have mentioned this as it makes a huge difference in service and the whole place smells so much strongly of medicine. The room we booked have a very old tv,no aircon just electric fan. The beds was so uncomfortable I have body pain whole night whole day next day. I suffered hips pain just becoz of this bed mattress. We have bites. I think dust mites. It was a long night. 30€ for a very old beds tv fan is not worth it.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Price and location.
Cons: Very poor corridor lighting, we needed to use torch on phone. Staff very unhelpful. Not able to even get coffee am let alone breakfast. Decor very tired and dated Bed very small and creaky. No parking on site, only street parking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly amiable and clean
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Funky, friendly, not at all fancy but easily enjoyed, especially for the price.
