Pros:The rental agent was friendly. Car pick-up and drop-off was fairly easy, but Thrifty doesn't have a rental counter and we had to find the agent in the airport parking lot when dropping off the car.
Cons:The car was not in great shape, fairly worn inside and out and with some poorly repaired exterior damage, though it handled well enough. The car key remote was broken, and the key itself fell out of the casing.
Cons:I used your site to rent a vehicle for.my stay in st lucia and also paid 45.usd for insurance. I AM BACK IN BARBADOS AND HAVE SEEN A HIRED CAR YET. I arrived in St.Lucia and could find no Thrifty, I then made my way to my hotel before returning to the airport a second time, still no Thrifty. I decided to go to the listed address still no Thrifty. Again I went back to the Hotel and sent 2 emails to date no response. On the following morning I spoke to a Thrifty employee who advised me to seek alternate rental as there were no available vehicles. By now I was totally pissed, I spoke to the hotel reception who spoke to the Thrifty agent. The young lady then called me to say she would try to get me a vehicle the following day (Saturday morning). Saturday morning up to 10-11 I heard nothing so I decided to call only to be told that there is nothing that can be done. This is now 3 days into my holiday and still stuck. I am appalled at such poor service but equally angry that I would have lost my 45 usd on the insurance and 3 days just sitting waiting and hoping. This was a tragedy and one that destroyed what was to be an enjoyable birthday weekend for a love one.
Pros:Quick response when I emailed. I left my camera in the car and after 6 phone calls the girl that picked it up returned it to me before my flight left, that was much appreciated, but having said that, she showed up 20 min. early to pick up the car, which is when I was getting organized with our luggage and eventho she said don't rush I did.
Cons:When I got to the airport there was no Thrifty desk and none of the other car rentals knew where I was to go. I had to take 2 extra buses to get to a hotel to meet someone. When I did that I was told she was at the airport in the parking lot, but I had no idea, so would of never looked for her. Very poor communication and not a good start to a holiday.l That someone told me I could change the time and then I was told I couldn't. I had made a mistake and always wanted 6 return time. Tried to change it 2 days early, not last minute, so that was disappointing. The mirror kept falling off and nearly broke my phone the first time, hit me in the leg hard the 2nd time. The person we returned the car too said that had been a known issue, so that is not good. I am sure if my phone had been broken it wouldn't of been replaced by Thrifty. Some how when someone books they need to get the info. where they are to go. I know it says you can call, but I didn't have a phone to do that with and feel I should have all the info I need when I turn over my credit card number.

Cons:High mileage & condition of the car
Pros:My family was on a ferry from Martinique that was delayed by 3 hours through no fault of our own and by the time I called using a bystanders phone for the car (there was no desk at the airport) I was told it had already been rented and there were no ther vehicles. This was the day before Christmas eve and we were completely stranded and had to book another hotel because we couldnt drive to the original- completely losing our money. There were no available cars at other companies due to the holiday traffic among tourists. Thrifty made zero attempt to contact me and instead said I should have contacted them even though I had no local phone service/was on the open ocean/in the no cell phone use immigration line- and there were no directions to call or any rules on when a car would be rented if no show. The employee I spoke with offered no additonal help to our situation and refused to provide her name to me for the record. In short it was a disastrous experience. This branch should modernize their business operations to foreign tourists who expect a much higher standard than what is currently provided. It is not the Thrifty company I know and use around the world. Kayak should also do a better job of specifying branches that have special rules such as no desk at airport and rules about renting if no show.

Pros:Easy pick up and drop, even ok with a ferry location pick up. Smooth paperwork.
Cons:Got a different cathegiry of car than booked. The car was not ready and they offer a temporary one and to deliver the car later. With the later delivery they charge the fuel for driving 5km even that was caused by their circumstances.
