Breakfast was not included. We had breakfast at an old-school place across the street, the Centerville Café. We loved all the attention to historical detail, the wealth of information about the hotel's history, the trains going by, the pool tables and shuffleboards, the skylights and plants in the restaurant portion, the stories calligraphed onto walls throughout the hotel.
Our room looked out on ugly rooftop heating units and vents. Even a small windowbox of flowers outside each window would be a huge improvement.
Loved the location, and we loved wandering through Centralia. Loved the free movies with the stay, and the movie theater was incredible, really old world stunning.
The biggest issue was the loud patrons. The train whistles did not bother us, and we expected them. However, the rude guests who were obnoxious in the halls till 2:00am plus in the morning were unexpected and unwanted. It made sleeping difficult. Not sure if drunk patrons were guests or someone had let them in. We could have called front desk, but we didn't really want to deal with the aftermath of turning them in, as the bathroom we used that night was down the hall. No telling what a drunk would do.
Bed was very comfortable, staff very friendly
Floors are creaky, trains pass by very closely (horns are loud)
Room was small with bunk beds and a sink, but I loved it. Very cozy and clean.
Historic hotel with a lot of charm and all the amenities you never thought you would need Staff was very nice and helpful
