The staff was friendly, despite the issues experienced.Cons:
Literally everything else. From the long wait, to having a faulty and dangerous car, to their support phone lines not working or being responsive (no one answered phone calls, either at the office or at corporate), to trying to contact anyone with the company to discuss a refund, it was a truly disappointing experience. I had plans to use their rental car that day to drive around the island and hike El Yunque. Instead, I spent from 10am to nearly 4pm attempting to resolve this rental issue.NextCar

Pros:
One of the worst car rental experiences I've ever had. I reserved an economy car for one day at an outrageous cost of $218 and when I got to the rental agency they told me it was going to be an additional $90 in taxes and fees. This was on top of the $68 in taxes and fees that was already charged to the original reservation cost. $300 total for 1 day economy rental! I didn't rent the car and won't ever rent from Next again.Cons:

Work out with clients a bit better, I got my flight canceled by American airline because they sale tickets without having space 🙃so my family and I ended up buying new tickets for another airline in a different time, I was supposed return the car at 4am but because the issue now we were leaving PR at 11:42am and car next only gave us 4 hours of grace spirit which I tried to at least returned at 9am because we were staying an hour away from it but they were not as peasants as you thought they will be instead the guy name Ivan had an attitude and basically said take it or pay for an extra day so we were at the airport for almost 4 hrs because of that, I want to say your driver's are such a polite people 😀 great customer service they're the best so far in my perspective of what a customer service implies!!4.0 Mediocre

I enjoyed the shuttle drivers that picked me up and dropped me off at the airport. They were very friendly and helpful. The man that helps you check in once you get to the facility was also very helpful and nice. The car was clean and drove well, but it was given to me with half a tank of gas and the check engine light was on.Cons:
The rest of my experience with this company felt like a scam. I booked an economy vehicle for 5 days for a total of $320, and I have been charged $753 because of hidden fees and their refusal to release the $250 hold on my card. The woman who assisted me, Jennys Vicente, was very unfriendly from the time I reached the desk to the time I returned the vehicle and spoke to her again about my concerns and questions 5 days later. I was not allowed to use my own insurance to cover the vehicle, despite having full coverage insurance, and bringing proof of my coverage. Jennys told me that my vehicle had to be within 5 years in age of their 2020 Hyundai Accent. I have never heard that in my life, especially in America, and I have been renting cars inside and outside the US for some time now. I was charge $15 a day for insurance. Then I was charged $9 a day for an E-Z pass to go through tolls I did not use, but they don't tell you that there is a toll on the Carolina road to get to San Juan from their facility. That's a scam, especially if I have to leave and return the car to this facility, and if you don't get the E-Z pass you get fined a hefty amount for not getting the package. But why would someone be charged $9 a day for an E-Z pass they aren't using?!? I brought up this concern with Jennys when I returned the car, and asked for a refund for the E-Z pass charge. She said she couldn't authorize that because I used the road right in front of the facility to leave Carolina and go to San Juan. She specifically told me before I received the vehicle that if you're only staying in San Juan, you don't need the E-Z pass. After continuously expressing the unfairness of tthe charge and how it was unnecessary, she told me that she would put a note on file for her manager to contact me concerning the charge and gave me an updated receipt that reflected the $250 hold being refunded. It is now a week since I left PR and returned the car intact and as I received it. I never received a call from anyone about the E-Z pass charge and I still have a $250 hold on my card. $753 for a 2020 Hyundai Accent for 5 days!!! A scam!!! I had to contact them about these issues, and I am getting the run around about getting my $250 back and my concerns regarding the E-Z pass. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! THEY ARE NOT TRUTHFUL. THEY ARE NOT HELPFUL. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY!!! Also, if you plan on staying in San Juan, use Uber or rent a car from a more reliable company because it will be cheaper and less of a headache.2.0 Poor

It is less than a one star business. If you need to rent a car during business hours it is a disaster. Theres not enough staff, its very disorganized and you have to wait outside in the heat for up to two hours to pick up your rental. I made the mistake of not looking up the place beforehand thinking the discounted price was related to it being out of the airport.-The “free shuttles” don’t come every 15-20 minutes more like 30-40min which is an issue especially if you are trying to catch a flight. The shuttles also did not have properly working ac so you are stuffed in a van with 10-12 other people in hot van. Its about $30 cheaper than getting a rental at the airport and it is DEFINITELY not worth it. From my previous experience traveling to San Juan, I would suggest getting a rental at the airport, the service is efficient and professional.Enterprise

We spent nearly an hour trying to call europcar and find a place to drop off the key. In the end we decided to just lock the car keys in the vehicle. Almost missed my flight too. Actual rental facility was not on airport property and I had to take a shuttle to get my car. Rental facility was not far from the airport. Also had to call for the shuttle to pick me up. Make sure you have a copy of your Declaration of your4.0 Mediocre
