Pros: They did give us another car for the remainder of our rental (approximately a month) when we brought the tire condition to their attention and made an adjustment on the final bill when we dropped the car off at our final location.
Cons: We were assigned a car with illegal bald tires on both front wheels. We were not aware of that until someone pointed it out after driving this dangerous car for over 2 weeks!! We had driven over several mountain passes during this period and were told we were lucky to be alive!

Horrible experience. Do NOT use Thrifty
Cons: Office was off-airport, and very sketchy. They didn't have the car I reserved (minivan) which I really needed for all of my passengers and luggages. The small SUV they offered would not accommodate.

Cons: The employees at the counter were focused on personal conversations rather than the line of customers waiting to be helped. Once I was told to wait for the car outside, after 15 minutes of waiting, the car had been taken to a different location. I had also purchased insurance via online reservation, and was then at the location and somehow 2 insurances ended up on my bill. Will not be coming back to Thrifty.

Pros: I had to take first car back due to engine symbol. It was handled quickly and I was given a much more comfortable car. Ron @ Thrifty was polite, helpful, & great. All the employees there were friendly! I would rent from them again.

Off-Airport and SLOWEST Shuttle Ever
Pros: The car was fine. A Chevy spark.
Cons: The location is off-site and the shuttle is insanely slow. You could wait for twenty or thirty minutes and it is nearly impossible to find a direct phone number to the local Thrifty office to call and ask about the status of the shuttle.

Kayak or Thrifty: one-way dropoff fee nondisclosur
Pros: Clean car. Great condition. Quick pickup and dropoff. Polite attendants.
Cons: I was charged a drop off fee for one-way rental that was not included in my Kayak confirmation email although the email clearly showed pickup and drop off in different locations. Don't know if the disconnect was on Kayak's end or Thirfty's end but this reflected poorly in both companies.

I was overcharged. They said they couldn't give me
Cons: When I arrived, I found the price they were charging me was higher than the amount i reserved. They checked my record and said, "Oh that's because our online system calculated the taxes wrong. So you need to pay more than the reservation. They are taxes and we aren't getting that money so its not our fault." I told them that wasn't fair considering that I made a reservation for a specific amount of money. They said there was nothing they can do about it and if I wanted to cancel the reservation they would understand. That would have wasted another hour or two of my time finding a new rental car company and I couldn't do that as I was already heading to a meeting late. So I was forced to go for the amount higher than I booked (but according to them it wasn't Thrifty's fault although it was their website that calculated the taxes wrong).
Also, my reservation was for a full size which Thrifty imagines to mean a Hyundai Elantra. Not really a full sized.
Overall, a generally bad experience. Thanks Thrifty.
Pros: The ease of pick up and drop off.
Cleanliness of car
Cons: They did not have my type of car in stock, but they made it right by upgrading to another model.

Pros: I have to pay 27 dollars more per day for underage fee which I didn't know at the first place and plus the insurance is not with Hertz.

Cons: yes, i was late for my appointment by 30min. The only person at the counter was absent at the counter. I called up their number on the reservation but the lady that answered the phone was not very helpful (she did not offer to contact the absent lady and kept repeating "she will be back shortly." I waited 30 min and called her again and had to ask her to confirm when the absent is coming back.) After all I had to wait for an hour and half to finally get to my car.

Pros: It was my fault that I didn't read the fine print and realize that I had to pick up my car from a nearby hotel. There was an airport shuttle that ran to the hotel but it was only once an hour. It would've been $20 total to get an Uber. Next time I will probably go for the airport location, unless it is a longer duration of rental. The people who rented the car were professional, helpful and friendly. I actually really liked the car (Toyota Yaris). Small but great economy.
Cons: Location of pick up.

Cons: I had reserved an Intermediate car for me, my wife and two teenage boys. The listed car was a Toyota Corolla or similar. When I arrived, I was told that I was given an upgrade to a Yaris. I don't consider the Yaris even similar in class to a Corolla, not to mention an upgrade. The trunk space would not even fit 3 of our carryons let alone the one checked bag we had. After many discussions with the Hertz representative on site, my only option was to pay for an upgrade to a Camry. I picked a size of car based on my passenger and luggage requirements and in no way did my assigned car meet the stated description.
Cons: car was dirty and smoked in. when I showed the rep he took it and returned a bit cleaner but still filthy and not even remotely to be clean! after that I sat in the car and turned on the AC and it smelled like cigarets. when i told that to the rep he replied: its a rental car... really...
