Great stay!
Good location, clean comfortable large room, friendly staff, great rate, in house bar and restaurant that was open late - definitely new go to hotel for Chicago visits and we are here pretty often.
One small elevator caused some traffic jams of people trying to get up and down
Location
This hotel is overpriced for the value. We have stayed here before and had a good experience staying in a suite in the main building. This time we stayed in a king room and ended up in the building separate from the front desk. The room was tiny. Like NYC hotel room tiny. The air conditioner was so loud we couldn’t even run it while trying to sleep. There was terrible street noise, hallway noise and we could hear every time someone nearby turned their water on. The room didn’t have a refrigerator or microwave, there was obvious water damage in the bathroom and the parking garage was so small we hit the roof of our mid-sized SUV on the pipes. Do not recommend staying here.
Customer service and rooms were clean and spacious
The 2 separate buildings
Friendly staff from front desk to parking attendant to cleaning staff
Very welcoming attitude by all employees we met. Very clean and comfortable room. The staff went the extra mile with a smile.
No complaints
Excellent Value
The room was exactly what we needed. Comfortable, roomy, great location and at a very fair price. You can't ask for more.
The water pressure is the shower could be a little stronger, but at the end of the day, it worked.
Great location, many places within walking distance. It was very easy to get to off the highway, plus cheap parking! ($25/night). Room was small, but had everything we needed for 1 night - bed, bathroom, shower, wifi.
Meh
Location. Strong, free wifi. Reasonable parking (for Chicago)
Small (full) beds, small room, no breakfast, poor value ($300/night all in)
Good price, great location.
Rooms on Ohio Street are noisy during AM rush hour as cars & trucks drive by. Bed firm, just OK.
Price, pool, walking distance
No refrigerator in room
Great location, but questionable cleanliness and f
The hotel is centrally located and about a mile walk or short cab ride to all tourist sites. It has an easy access to many restaurants. The lobby and indoor pool facility on the roof was clean and well maintained. The noise level was fine for the city. The rooms were small, but adequate if you are a petite sized family. The price (including the $25 daily parking fee, plus additional $10 for taking your vehicle out of the garage) was fair relative to other surrounding hotels. Although unable to resolve several issues, the staff was friendly. The overall building appeared secure.
The hotel has only 1 primary working elevator. There is an elevator that has been out of service for sometime and will probably not be fixed in the near future. Several guests have reported this problem since the beginning of summer. Although the room was overall clean, the carpet was very dingy and there was about a 2 to 3 feet in diameter DISGUSTING stain on 1 corner. I told the front desk and all I got was the complimentary apology. Again this was reported by one other guest on Trip Advisor. Perhaps it was in the same room, Room 505. The bathroom looked clean, but my husband and son reported that there were some disgusting stains underneath the toilet lid, which I refused to look at to verify. It looked like it had not been cleaned in a long time. The shower and toilet area is very tight so it can feel like a closet. The pillows were very small, like a toss pillow, and flat so bring your own and the sheets were slightly stiff and rough. There is no fridge and the ice machine can only be accessed on the 4th floor.
Free parking
We liked the location of the hotel. It was very convenient to everything. The free parking was a major plus!
Hotel staff was very courteous and helpful.
Nothing
Good location.
I could hear sounds from other rooms. Not recommended for the persons who prefer a silent room.
free parking, convenient location
Free internet and not far from Michigan Avenue
The rooms are outdated, not clean and very noisy. You can hear everything from the floor above you.
Great location
Needs updating -- also - had to walk outside from lobby to room elevator.
Clean, Comfy rooms, nice location.
location to other establishments: restaurants, shopping, transportation
only our room. the air conditioner ran, but did not cool the room, either with the air on, or outside air....way too stuffy all night long.
The locations was great for us, everything was in walking distance.
free wireless internet access in my room and the downtown location.
Having to use my room key card to access the door to the elevator 24 hrs a day.
