Staff location beautiful
Wonderfull breakfast/staff and great location!!!
Not having airco in the room...
The hotel was so convenient to all of old town Cochem and river next to the bridge and the river. We had a small balcony that we could sit on in the morning and evening watching people passing by as well as the action of the riverboats going up and down the river. We also had a magnificent view of the Reichsburg Castle! Cafes and bars were right below us. It was noisy during the day but everything, and I mean everything, shuts down at 6pm. The staff was courteous but you’d better make sure that all of your questions and business is done before 6pm because the main office closes and no one is around. We needed a knife and napkins for our sandwiches for dinner and it was nowhere to be found- just small things that you don’t anticipate. There is a side entry for coming and going after 6p. Luckily we read the sign and asked about it. Otherwise, I’d go back in a heartbeat.
I wish I had better pillows and again, access to small items after closing hours.
Conveniently located in the very center of the town. A gorgeous old building with friendly staff, felt very warm and welcoming. The entrance is in a café (which seemed very popular) and there's wine tasting, shopping and eating opportunities all around.
Parking can be a bit tricky if you arrive when there's a lot of people, but at evening/night the parking lot just outside has free spots and is free of charge. Best is probably to park a little further away upon arrival, and then repark.
With a stay at Hotel Germania in Cochem, you'll be a 3-minute walk from Moselle Promenade and 6 minutes by foot from Cochem Historic Mustard Mill. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
