Our room was terrible! It was located in a secluded place with two swimmingpool storages. There were no other rooms next to it and it had a weird storage smell. I guess originally it was used as a storage as well but later on turned into a hotel room. There was a small window very far from the bed. Therefore, our room had no natural light. We didn’t have any (side)view as in front of our window we could only see the wall. In addition, it was not a cheap hotel room at all! Plus, the next day (07:00 AM on Sunday) we were woken by a ruckus in the storages next door. I would advise to search for another hotel if you are planning to visit Cochem.
The breakfast was the best thing about our stay.
The staff was not very friendly or accommodating.
Breakfast was excellent
The interior of the rooms is too synthetic. I smelled formaldehyde gas in the room, from all the synthetic carpets furniture, and other synthetic materials. Probably the air contains lots of microplastics. Therefor I would not visit the hotel a second time. The interior of the breakfast hall is much better.
The staff is very friendly. The location is perfect, with a view of the castle. Breakfast was average apt best, but can't complain for the ease and availability, but nothing special (if you did not get a complementary deal, do waste your money). The room was great with an added spa bonus. Location is a mere 5min. walk to bridge that crosses river.
There is a bar/dance place directly attached to Hotel. When they have an event, the place can be very loud and hence if your windows are open, there is no sleeping or quietness. Otherwise the area is quiet. They are NOT very accommodating for errors or other mistakes. I booked a single room, but wanted to have wife stay with me for one night. I was rudely told no such event is allowed - really?
