Eduardo converted this house right in the heart of the historic quarter into a live collage of artwork and collectables. Our room was decorated with the same attention to detail than the rest of the guesthouse - while being comfortable and super clean. Breakfast was freshly made and very nice, and we very much enjoyed chatting with Eduardo as he prepared it. If you enjoy staying in small places with character and style, you will love it. Eduardo is a wonderful host who happily provides recommendations and takes such great care of his guests.
Eduardo is an excellent host, focused on all of the small details that makes your stay excellent. Highly recommend to others.
Great creatieve place on the main square if Colonial. Perfect room and commun-areas (garden, diningroom etc.). Eduardo is a great host, who knows a lot about the area. He also gave good tips for restaurants and bars. Breakfast is nice to!
Eduardo the host was very helpful - with suggestions of where to eat and an insight into the character and strengths of Uruguay. The accommodation is unique - full of photographs, objets d'art, and a personal collection of memorabilia.
It is perhaps unfair to be a little negative but we stayed during a massive thunderstorm and the noise of heavy rain on a corrugated roof kept us awake. The room was smaller than expected though clever use of mirrors made it appear larger. Eggs were not offered at breakfast but sandwiches for our bus journey to Montevideo was a bonus
Charming, comfortable, and quiet. A real gem!
With a stay at La Posadita de la Plaza in Colonia del Sacramento (Barrio Histórico), you'll be steps from Street of Sighs and Portuguese Museum. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
