Cons: They look down on you
1.0 Poor
Cons: Staff couldn’t comprehend that I had three separate bookings for same type of room over 7 days and wished to stay in the same room. My request notifying the hotel of this through original booking on booking.com was not forwarded to the hotel. Staff demanded that I pay an extra $US 50 per night for ‘incidentals’ or use of room service, security deposit that was not able to paid in cash and as they have advised might take over a week to be returned to my account. I am staying for seven days. Other hotels, even doubletrees, do not insist on this. (There is no consumables/minibar in the room). It took about 10 minutes to provide me a receipt for this extra charge and that was a screen shot that the staff member then had to write the amount extra that had been deducted from my account in texta/felt tipped pen as this printout actually did not include the extra fee and no recognition that this would be returned or over what sort of time period. I had to argue the fact that breakfast had been included in original booking as well as the hotel did not have confirmation of this and tried to charge me an extra $US 16.00 per day. In using their small shop on the ground floor to buy drinks/snacks I then had to wait for about 5 minutes for the staff who had no idea how to provide a receipt. When they did this receipt showed the costs of my whole booking for that day and not the actual cost of what I had just purchased so I had to return to the checkin desk to go through the process again. I had specifically requested and confirmed through front desk that the room was not to be serviced daily as it is unnecessary to have towels etc changed so often. I still have the housekeeping staff knocking on the door every morning who are not aware of this. Bathroom sink is blocked.

Cons: I didn’t get the room quality I am used to. I was over all very unimpressed
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The quietness
Cons: The water park not having towels the kids were freezing shaking crying because there was no clean towels and the agenthe girl that I spoke to in the front desk told me so go upstairs and get my towels from my room and then come back down I was disappointe
4.6 Okay
Pros: The pool
Cons: They keep charging my credit card twice!!! So disappointing, it’s over priced as is considering the breakfast isn’t free but now I’m stuck paying double???

Pros: I liked the bed and how comfortable it was. The hotel was clean.

1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Shower was small, the floor smelled of weed, room felt like a spruced up prison, the price was to much, the towels had hair, so many things wrong with the hotel not enough characters to type it all. Overall one of the worst experiences I've ever had.

Cons: the graffiti in the elevators.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Cleanliness.
Cons: Walls way too thin.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Feel like I could have gotten a better price. There sign read '---. Definitely not worth what I paid. Couldn't even get an extra pillow! Also burn holes in bedding and pieces of chore pad(used for smoking crack) found on the floor.

Cons: Almost everything
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything. We were not the only ones given a room not cleaned initially...then the second room was still dirty. We requested a full refund. It was literally awful.
2.8 Mediocre
Pros: Vinyl floors were fine, seemed cleaner then dirty old carpets.
Cons: We found hair in the bed, pizza sauce on the telephone, the stifling smell of smoke in a nonsmoking room. The sheets were awful and all nubby. worst of all the power in part of the hotel was out all of the evening and half the night. It was clearly a problem with the hotel's electricity, not the weather. And at check out in the morning the staff informed us that there would be no refunds or discounts for our horrible night. We couldn't shower, use the a/c, charge our phones or even see to navigate the room. It was an absolute terrible experience and I wouldn't recommend staying in a motel 6 to any one.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I never stayed at motel 6 at this location before but I was beyond satisfied with my stay. It was very clean and since I had just traveled for 40 plus hours i was extremely tired the fact that it was quiet giving me a lot of time to rest was much appreciated. Thank you motel 6

Pros: When we walked at first glance it was Beautiful! The setup was on point. We didn't have any complaints until we started using things.
Cons: Toilet happened to be clogged straight away, husband fixed it. The refrigerator started to leak this nasty brown oil substance which I'm assuming is for the cooling. Husband also cleaned that up. And then we had no hot water which we couldn't fix.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff friendly rooms very clean, I give hotel a 10 best service and cleanest one ive ever stayed at, would recommend to someone needing to stay in the area.

Pros: The staff. Everyone from hotel staff to the restaurant staff were great and very helpful! The hotel smelled fresh and clean. I loved this hotel.
Cons: Only thing I wish that we had was a mini fridge but we did just fine without it.
6.3 Good
Pros: Close proximity to everything and lovely staff at check in
Cons: Had to change rooms due to lack of cleanliness - hairs on bathroom floor and in bed. Then in the second room same problem still!! Either cleaners aren’t wearing hair nets or the cleaning isn’t done well enough but the hairs on the bathroom floor were particularly concerning. Asides from that beautiful hotel but the cleanliness situation put a dampener on it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really happy with our stay . We stayed for 3 nights. 2 adults 1child . My child loved the pool .rooms were very nice with really nice toiletries Hotel was clean staff friendly and helpful what more can you ask for
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful front desk, and housekeeping kept our room spotless. The robes in our room were a nice touch.
6.8 Good
Pros: Christmas decor was gorgeous and there were Christmas cookies and hot cider offered on entering. The whole lobby smelled of cinnamon which I found charming. Bathrooms offered an extensive number of amenities and bottled water and robes. We mostly enjoyed the restaurant as well. Location was great, could walk to the Salem walking tour and many historic attractions.
Cons: Check in was very slow and an elevator was broken giving off a constant beeping. My sirloin was undercooked, even after sending it back twice and it took minutes and my announcing myself to be seated for breakfast even though there was only one other customer. But most disappointing was the way my young adult son was questioned when he came back into the hotel in the morning after making a trip to the car. He was making a cup of coffee and front desk staff approached him accusingly, asking him to verify his room number to assure he was indeed a guest. He was shocked and offended.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is amazing. Loved the local shops and restaurants just a few hundred feet away. Downtown and many local sites within walking distance.
Cons: The bar drinks were too strong and not properly made. Bartender was very friendly, cheerful and attentive but her drinks were just awful. Just might need a bit of retraining and encouragement and she would be awesome.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The hotel was stunning and super clean, great location, had dinner at the tavern in the hotel food and drinks were wonderful!
Cons: The only thing we didnt like was that there was not a mini fridge in our room..
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel itself was beautiful. It's located in the heart of Salem and immerses you in the town. It is also neat to stay at an historic location.
Cons: The window jammed and the room was a little cold. This also allowed some street noise to wake us up during the night. Finally, there were a few coarse hairs in the bed when we arrived in our room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Reasonably priced. Walking distance to everything in Salem. Room was always clean. I definitely would recommend.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Quaint 1920s hotel remodeled decently. Nice ambiance. There's a letter drop at the elevator, two good restaurants in the lobby, and the staff are very helpful.
Cons: You cannot control the temperature in your room. The heat as a central system either on or off. Consequently, my room with broiling when I got there and had to open the window even though it was 10° outside. I have no idea how it is in the summertime. There are no refrigerators microwaves or anything like that easily available. The water that comes out of the faucet tastes funny and has a lot of sediment so the hotel gives you a bottle of water every day. I had to buy my own water though because that is not enough.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was wonderful
Cons: The bathroom was too drafty
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful historic hotel. Rooms a bit smaller than I would have imagined, but still very lovely. The bathrooms in room 316 tended to be very cold but if you leave the doors open the heat does eventually heat bathroom. Great staff and great restaurant.
Cons: Cold bathrooms.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The charm.
Cons: Bathroom was too small and heat control was not good.

Pros: Location is excellent. One end of the Main Street, opposite the historical Witch House. Our two room suite was perfect size. Comfortable beds and very clean. The style was fairly neutral, I would say homely. It was quiet and easy to get a good night sleep. Breakfast was served in the basement breakfast room. It was help yourself with assistance for omelettes. Coffee was good with options for decaf, tea etc. Very friendly breakfast staff. All in all, very nice Parking was about 100yds. Short walk crossing road. This worked fine. Loads to see in Salem and is easy to find out about. Highlights were ‘Salem NIght Tour’ and House of seven gables. We also toured to Crane Beach, around 30 mins drive on backroads. Very nice and ideal to drop into Rockport on way back.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location and ease of checking in.
Cons: 3rd floor with bad knees. More of a b&b. Priced high but for the location they get it and I Would to if I were them.
