The Leeuwenbrug was the nicest, most comfortable and well thought out hotel in Europe that I've been in over ~50 years of travel. This includes those that have cost several times more (because they were charged to business accounts.) The tourist part of Delft, Oude Delft, is a physically small area. Because of the hotel location, we were able to walk everywhere conveniently. The hotel had been converted from an individual home and appeared to be newly renovated and very well maintained. The room was more comfortable and had more amenities than usual: electric beds with adjustable headboards that would go up and down, easily enabling reading while sitting up in bed; good lighting in every area of the room/bathroom; 19… yes, 19, not a typo… electrical outlets to plug in electronics; an electric kettle with in-room coffee/tea; an abundance of closet space with hangers; a desk with two comfortable chairs that were on wheels… I could go on, but won't. Breakfast, included in the cost of the room, went way beyond a "typical Dutch" one, with different kinds of meat, fish, cheese, eggs, breads and cereals, fresh fruit, juice, little boxes of chocolate sprinkles, warm crèpes with different toppings, good/real coffee and more. Staff, with one exception, were friendly and helpful. Strong suggestion: In retrospect, if I were to go in Amsterdam again… which we did, staying in a rented airbnb apartment for five days… I would instead stay at this hotel and make the fast and easy commute into the city. While the Amsterdam tram system is excellent, the commute time from our apartment (that bordered on Vondel Park) to most places in the city was just slightly less than the ride to Delft and back. The tranquility of Delft vs. the chaos of Amsterdam would be well worth it.
In fact, the room was even better than that I have ordered (bath and shower instead of shower). Very good hotel.
The hotel is delightful, location is great and staff is very friendly. Hotel offered us an upgrade to a more spacious apartment. The apartment is decorated tastefully, all equipped for our comfort and has a great view of the canal.
The hotel has a nice atmosphere and is in set in a romantic settings withing the old city of Delft.
There is no more staff after 23h00. For check-in, this could be an issue.
The location is perfect, the personal is very friendly and helpful, the room is quite comfortable and the free Internet - very important.
Beautiful room with everything we needed. Included a good breakfast.
Not sure how I would gain access after 12.00 on night of arrival if had had travel problems
friendly helpful staff.its proximiyy to railway station and centre of town
I would gladly stay there again. It was very appealing, efficient, clean and friendly.
Nothing, it was great.
Bed excellent quality, portable airco in room nice as I had to keep window shut because of Mosquitos that got in on the first night.
Staff good and fluent in many languages, but would like a bit more smiles from some of them.
excellent service, very friendly staff, room was very nice, price/quality relation is very good.
