An absolutely lovely B&B very close to Darley Abbey Mill where I was in meetings for two days. There was an excitable group of girls getting ready for a wedding in the room above me but other than a little creaky floor noise the whole stay was perfect. The facilities are really well considered, the bed super comfy and while I didn't have breakfast (thanks for the supply of hot coffee to take with me Zoe!) it looked and smelled absolutely delicious.
A shelf in the bathroom to put down a makeup bag.
The hotel was easy to find and well signposted (which I think is particularly important with hotels). Room was lovely, spacious and warm. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was very good and included in the price. We were going to a wedding at the West Mill and this hotel was only 10min walk (or 2 min taxi) from the venue.
Parking is limited but we managed to get a space. The hotel could do more with the gardens to make the already great experience even better.
Excellent breakfast, amazing design of rooms, the snug/lounge, extremely friendly welcome from Zoe, complimentary brownies, relaxed atmosphere (made to feel at home), very easy if you're going to a wedding at West Mill.
There were renovations going on during our stay in the main house - didn't really effect us though, and would love to see it when complete!
Pleasant staff clean premises
Booked (AND paid for) a room specifically to include a bath & leisure settee/ couch, avoiding a pet hate - shower only - on arrival - it was obvious that the premises were something of a building site & no bath or settee. Lovely staff but not an honest contract. Shame - outhouse was lovely but not what was paid for.
