Pros: This was our third time staying at the Garden City Hotel, and it never disappoints. We had a very comfortable and spacious room. The staff were again friendly and efficient. The location is perfect for the Roosevelt Field Mall as well as being only 20 minutes from the beautiful beaches of Long Beach.
Cons: The only downside was that whilst I had requested a room facing the front of the property, we were allocated a room at the back of the building.

Cons: Came to check in at 5pm, check in is at 4. the room was not ready. The check in girl had to page housecleaning to find out if anyone had an available room cleaned. She tried to give us an upcharged room or a room with a Murphy bed. Had to wait for a room.

Pros: The Breakfast was not very appetizing, the bagels were stale and the bacon a way greasier, than it should have been. It was obvious that no one blotted off the bacon with a napkin/paper towel. It was literally dripping with grease. Our room was comfy, but the phone was not working properly, the cord was inoperable as I was unable to hear well on the phone. In addition to the phone not working, our refrigerator stopped working, as we had perishable items in the refrigerator. I called the front desk Sunday (3/15/20) morning, and asked for a new refrigerator as I was unsure exactly when the refrigerator stopped, because the items in the fridge were warm. I was advised by the front desk agent that she could not provide us a new refrigerator, because the maintenance guy does not come in until 10am. I then asked to be transferred to another room, she then told me I could not be transferred to another room, because my check-out was in a couple of hours and it would interfere with the cleaners schedule. At this point, I was made to feel by your employee that my belongings/food were not important, and if they spoiled....oh well. It was my money that was being wasted and she acted like she could care less. About an HOUR later, she called back to inform us that one of the cleaning ladies would be able to come over and swap out the refrigerator. Not sure why it took an hour for her to execute this change, but within 10 minutes of her calling back, one of the housekeepers, easily swapped out the refrigerator within 5 minutes. My husband and I were thankful to the housekeeper, but disappointed that that it took so long for the situation to be rectified. I've been to several Hyatt Hotels, and this was by far the worst experience at the Hyatt I've ever had. I had higher expectations of the Hyatt, especially for a $210 per night room. Truly, our experience this past weekend was met with less than acceptable accommodations. Sincerely, S. Robinson

Pros: Location is very close to the LlRR train station. I was also happy that there was a fitness room.
Cons: I was told there was a free breakfast served from 7-10AM and there was just cold coffee from the night before and the area was not clean. I was awakened at 4AM by my door slamming back and forth from the wind. My Visa was precharged $100 for incidentals.

Pros: The Breakfast was not very appetizing, the bagels were stale and the bacon a way greasier, than it should have been. It was obvious that no one blotted off the bacon with a napkin/paper towel. It was literally dripping with grease. Our room was comfy, but the phone was not working properly, the cord was inoperable as I was unable to hear well on the phone. In addition to the phone not working, our refrigerator stopped working, as we had perishable items in the refrigerator. I called the front desk Sunday (3/15/20) morning, and asked for a new refrigerator as I was unsure exactly when the refrigerator stopped, because the items in the fridge were warm. I was advised by the front desk agent that she could not provide us a new refrigerator, because the maintenance guy does not come in until 10am. I then asked to be transferred to another room, she then told me I could not be transferred to another room, because my check-out was in a couple of hours and it would interfere with the cleaners schedule. At this point, I was made to feel by your employee that my belongings/food were not important, and if they spoiled....oh well. It was my money that was being wasted and she acted like she could care less. About an HOUR later, she called back to inform us that one of the cleaning ladies would be able to come over and swap out the refrigerator. Not sure why it took an hour for her to execute this change, but within 10 minutes of her calling back, one of the housekeepers, easily swapped out the refrigerator within 5 minutes. My husband and I were thankful to the housekeeper, but disappointed that that it took so long for the situation to be rectified. I've been to several Hyatt Hotels, and this was by far the worst experience at the Hyatt I've ever had. I had higher expectations of the Hyatt, especially for a $210 per night room.
