Reserved a full size. Gave me a hatchback. 75% of the times I turned the key in the ignition to start the car, it took repeated random effort of wheel turning and key turning to turn the key in the ignition and start the car. Took more than a minute sometimes. I assumed it was going to strand me. Left voicemail at the phone number on my contract. No response for two days.

This was an easy rental, car was excellent on mileage. Drove all week on 1 tank and only needed 5 gallons to fill. Staff was great.

We booked a compact and they gave us an economy without compensation. A blonde female employee remarked our luggage was not going to fit in the economy car and tried to upsell us to a van. Of course, it would have fit in the card we reserved months ahead of he trip. They didn’t have luggage carts at drop off and the blonde female employee didn’t help, just said it was too bad. There is no effort to help customers. They have no maps. It was an unpleasant interaction all around.

The agent at pick up used shady language to try to make us think that the insurance we had bought online with kayak at the time of bookingwas not real and that we had been ripped off and that we really should only buy it from budget. She made it seem as if we did not have the insurance at all. She was snarky, bordering on rude. Another agent came along and in plain language just said they wouldn't have record of it there at the counter if we did buy insurance through the third-party, in this case kayak. That is a whole lot different than we didn't have insurance even though we paid for it and we were ripped off. I was very unhappy with her. Shadier and shadier every time we go to rent a car anymore.

Great people. Lyndell and others were awesome people to deal with. Got a complimentary upgrade from a Toyota Camry to a Chinese-made SUV that provided a little more room for luggage …allowing for 4 large pieces of luggage and 4 people. Right next to airport and easy walking distance, too.

Pickup and drop off can be a bit chaotic, but on Saturdays especially there are a lot of cars being turned around in a short period of time. Best to get your mind into “island time” before entering the rental building. We got a flat tire during our rental and team took care of it with no complaints and dropped off a new rental car to our condo - great service.

Great experience! Service counter was well staffed with friendly agents, allowing for wait times to get the car to be minimal. Drop off was easy and quick, too. The car we had was awesome for our two week vacation. First time I had used Avis and was very impressed.

It all worked out in the end.i had to book another stay the first night because this shop closed at 7 pm and my flight landed at 7:30. They were also not open the last morning of the trip, Otherwise, all finally worked out.

Our car was in pretty sketchy condition. The front bumper scraped on everything. The first time we went to unlock it in a parking lot, the key got stuck and we had to wait for them to send out a locksmith. We were told “this happens all the time” and were instructed to just avoid locking it for the rest of our trip. ?! Although the staff was nice and responsive, I’m not satisfied with that resolution.
