Pros: The accommodations were great as well as the location; staff was attentive but not intrusive.

Cons: They do require a first nights deposit
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great staff, but TV didn’t work and shower was very slow to drain....I didn’t complain about these issues because everything else was great....I told them about these issues when I checked out....and gave them suggestions for a method to stop this from happening to other guests
Cons: Custodial staff needed to let the hotel know the TV wasn’t working and the shower didn’t drain so this could have been resolved before anyone else had to stay in that room...

5.0 Okay
Cons: Cabin had a strong odor from wood burning fire place. A glass of champagne upon arrival, and the robes and slippers provided do not by any means make the price for this cabin worth while. Very disappointed.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming staff. Pleasant to talk to about property or other places in the area. Everyone seemed passionate about helping.
Cons: Historic room above reception desk/stairs could use sound insulation around door. Beautiful view out of windows, though.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at 200 Main, the room was Very nice, up to date and clean, fireplace was nice and easy to use, heated bathroom floor was nice. Grounds were pretty and well kept.
Cons: The door closers to the entrance to the building and room need adjusting (too hard to open), disappointed that the "dish network" went out and few times. Shower door was slightly out of level, and wouldn't stay closed (could be fixed by putting the gasket on the door rather than the fixed glass). Was surprised to find after using the partial roll of toilet paper, there wasn't an extra in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting, very comfortable rooms, loved the breakfast and cocktail hour! Staff was very accommodating and so pleasant!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was gourmet and social hour food excellent. Chef is excellent and so are the staff. Loved the tranquility of the Inn and the grounds were lovely. The Inn offers so many amenities to include a shuttle every evening to Main Street Highlands where an abundance of fine dining exists. Half Mile Farm is part of the Old Edward’s Inn properties and in our opinion the nicest of them all! Definitely plan to go back!
Cons: Nothing was not to like. Our room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and we liked our patio and the beautiful Landscaping.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Half mile ! Great for setting and relaxing ! Such a great staff and everything was perfect
Cons: Lake , big yard feel Rooms were perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: No children allowed! What a delightful bonus. Everyone kept to themselves so there was no feeling of needing to socialize with other guests. The whole property was pleasantly quiet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The shortest answer would be there was NOTHING we didn’t like. The venue was spectacular. The staff was the most attentive and cordial. We were welcomed and made to feel special. The food was more than we could have hoped for flavor, hot, portions...it was all fabulous. Cleanliness was beyond all expectations. Decor was gorgeous. This was our 40th anniversary and the staff made this the very best experience. They gave us a card and complimentary champagne. I have already tried to book reservations for next year. We will return. We have recommended Half Mile Farm and all of the restaurants to several people and we only returned yesterday.
Cons: Absolutely Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was terrific...we were celebrating our 40th anniversary. The rose petals on the bed when we came back from dinner were over the top. It was raining, but the grounds are beautiful. Hopefully, it will be clear day when we come back.
Cons: can't think of anything at the moment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cannot say enough favorable things about Half Mile Farm. The facility was wonderful, food was delicious and the staff extremely attentive .. Hope to stay there again soon and would highly recommend!!!

Cons: all good
6.3 Good
Pros: Location was good.
Cons: The mattress, pillows and sofa cushions should be replaced. They were completely worn out. Continental breakfast was subpar. Muffins were stale but coffee was good.
Main Street Inn - Highlands - Building

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Main Street Inn in Highlands, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Chattahoochee National Forest and Nantahala National Forest. Free self parking is available onsite.
5.0 Okay
Cons: The bed took up the whole room. There was only a bench for sitting that we had to use for our luggage. The room was on the groubd floor at a bush intersection , we had to keep the blinds closed and had to content with road noise during the night. We had booked and paid for two nights- we only stayed one. I talked to the owner and told him the room was just not acceptable - he informed me that I was still responsible for the 2nd day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable beds and linens, very clean room
6.7 Good
Pros: The restaurant was wonderful and so was the staff. The food was excellent they had a guitarist playing in the afternoon which was very nice and mellow.
Cons: The walls were very thin. During the night there were yelling teenagers both nights at the stay I had to call the police at one point.you could hear everything that was going on in the room next to you and above you. I would like to point out the teenagers were outside of the Inn not in the Inn.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was a great place and great location
Cons: The room we booked was already booked had to take a lower grade room
7.9 Good
Pros: Room small but charming. Bath/shower unorthodox
Cons: check in time was late? Room more spacious
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Down town was right out the front door so we were able to walk everywhere. It is an antique house with all the quirks and perks and charms of living in an old house. What might have bothered us in a big modern hotel, (sink in the room not in the bath area) seemed quite fitting at the Inn, and actually turned out to be quite convenient! Everything was bright, clean and well kept, doors and windows opened to allow in fresh air and a small deck to sit outside and relax! And there was parking behind the Inn, a definite plus! Scott the concierge was very helpful, showed us around the Inn when we arrived, even showed us to our room and offered to help with our luggage, that does not happened very often these days. At night, he left a numberto contact him if we had any problems, which we had to do when we couldn’t unlock our door. He was able to help us over the phone, which shows he knows this Inn very well. I would definitely recommend the Main Street Inn to friends and would stay here again.
Cons: The outside walk is very uneven with flagstones, I know that is again, part of the antique charm, but it would be a very difficult walk for anyone trying to go the Inn or the restaurant, who might be unsteady on their feet. Also to fix the doors so they hung straight and the locks worked would be a great plus!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The bed and linens were exceptional!!
Cons: The bathroom layout was a bit strange.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location excellent Room was small and the bathroom had two doors each with a step up. Toilet and shower on one side, tub in center and thru the other door was the sink which leaked
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, beautiful facility within walking distance of downtown Highlands. A perfect place to stay if you want an old inn feel and want to walk to downtown. The owner spent a lot of time with us at check-in and was exceptionally helpful and courteous. Being next door to an amazing wine store that offers tastings didn't hurt, either. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Highlands.
Cons: The room was beautiful but could have been a bit larger. The toilet seat was beyond tiny, but this is nitpicking considering how great the accommodations were.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, outdoor dining and cocktails is wonderful. We stayed in the carriage house, bottom floor. The room was small but perfect for the two of us. The bed was way too comfortable..slept with the windows open.
Cons: Nothing.

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: We have stayed at this facility many times over the years and in the past, have always truly loved it. The breakfast facilities in the past were spread about the eating area in stations so that you did not end up trying to "jam" 30 people into that tiny kitchen area, making it very difficult to prepare your meal. Additionally, when people are vacationing, ending the breakfast time at 9:30 AM is absurd. Should be open until at least 10:30!! The entire facility appears to be running down, and the bathroom was not properly cleaned at all!! We were most disappointed, and if we had to guess, we would bet the owner is trying to sell the property and not spend any money on it. Oh, last but not least, lobby television and room television did not work properly for the 3 days we were there. Cable kept "popping" and picture clicking out, very nerve racking!! Very disappointing stay!!!
Cons: I think I said it all in the last paragraph!!
8.0 Excellent
Cons: no working telephone in my room WIFI did not connect in my room VERY SAD SERVICE
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The size and cleanliness of the room.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit smaller than in the past.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: I didn't like anything. This hotel is unfortunately a complete dump.
Cons: This hotel is in much need of updates. The room was so old and gross, the towels in the bathroom had stains on them and I didn't want to touch anything. The coffee pot was left in the bathroom, doesn't seem clean. The breakfast seemed gross and unsanitary, only ate the prepackaged oatmeal. The one water fountain downstairs did not work. The comforter was lumpy liked it had been washed to much and was time to change. It's a shame this hotel was changed from a Hampton inn to local hotel. Will never ever stay here again. $240 for this hotel is price gouging - this room was what I expect for a 1 star hotel under $100. Disappointed.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location great. Breakfast mediocre.
Cons: Breakfast
5.4 Okay
Pros: Grounds were very pretty and nestled in the woods and mountains
Cons: Not impressive at all for the price. Carpets had stains, comforters lumpy, wall hangings crooked, scuffs on walls
6.3 Good
Pros: location very good staff very helpful & nice
Cons: Mold in bath/shower bed spread up daily but trash not removed very little done on daily basis
7.1 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good. Had everything we needed.
Cons: The lighting in the bathroom is poor and needs updated as well as the carpet in the room. The A/C unit was extremely loud and I didn't care for the coffee pot to be on the bathroom counter.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Hotel is close to town.
Cons: Hotel is old Hampton Inn. The mattress we slept on was old and dilapidated. Hotel could use a major refresh. As for the breakfast there were very few items . Nothing fresh. I really question the star rating of this hotel.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Very unfriendly. Room missing a lot of basic stuff . Almost no one staying in hotel.
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice. A bit expensive but considering location all was good
Cons: Needs updating
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good size room, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, pet friendly
Cons: Breakfast wasn't remarkable

Pros: I liked the location. I liked the deck outside our room. Beautiful natural setting. There was a large parking lot. The staff was very nice. There was Starbucks coffee for the coffee maker. There was a small refrigerator in the room. It was stocked each day with muffins, juice and fruit.
Cons: The air conditioner in our room leaked when it was on. The carpet was already wet when we moved in our room. We left it off with the screen to the deck open. The temp was 78 in the daytime and 60 at night. The room could stand some updating. The bathroom was remodeled. It had good water pressure. The other thing I didn’t like was the pool was filled with fresh water. It was green. I only saw one person in it while I was there.
7.1 Good
Pros: The setting was beautiful. The restaurant, lounge and patio were so pretty.
Cons: The restaurant and bar staff made us feel as though they resented us. It made us feel very uncomfortable and as though we were bothering them.
7.5 Good
Pros: The food is amazing. Location on top of the mountain is perfect. Great staff
6.2 Good
Pros: Nice setting and spacious room , quiet surroundings
Cons: No Table in the room, no restaurant or breakfast, no platform for suitcases, no fireplace. (I asked for a room with a fireplace)

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location about 5 miles from downtown Highlands. Older somewhat quaint. Facilities are good, including restaurant, pool, hot tub. Wi-Fi is spotty. Highlands is close enough to drive to for shopping, restaurant choices. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even while very busy on "eclipse day".
Cons: No A.C., but cool in the evenings and nights, even in August. Older, but well maintained. Wi-Fi doesn't reach the rooms on the lower level.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant and bar very nice, food very good, very comfortable place overall.
Cons: Wish I could have spent another few days there. My stay was too short.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great beds. Beautiful location. Nice staff.
Cons: All was ok. Refilling pool so not able to use and steam room didn’t work.
6.7 Good
Pros: Food in restaurant was excellent.
Cons: Room was very musty. Needed to be aired out and facility needed a facelift.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant was fabulous, from the quality of the food to the view & we had excellent service. We will be back again. The hotel building was full of history & had lots of natural light with beautiful views.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The restaurant had some good food, but it was poorly run so they were out of several items when we sat down for dinner at only 7:45. The rooms need to be renovated - they were pretty clean, but the decor and furnishing were at least 20+ years old.
Cons: The service was not very good. The check-in was good, but the service in the restaurant and bar was poor. The people were pretty unprofessional and not friendly.

Cons: Trouble with lights in the room
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location and a very friendly staff
Cons: Old and worn out. Every aspect of the place needs attention.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location on Main Street provided easy walking access to all the stores and restaurants downtown. The hotel, restaurants and bars are very expensive but if you want a first class get away for a special occasion or treat this is a great place. The surrounding area provides scenic views, many waterfalls,, trout fishing and golf.
Cons: Our room was not the most comfortable. The bed was not what I would expect from a high dollar room plus there were no chair(s) to watch TV so it was watched from the bed. There was a small sofa next to the elevated TV but sitting in it actually faced you away from the TV. I have stayed here before in other rooms without this issue,
7.5 Good
Pros: Very quaint and old style Inn. The place has a lot of history. Great location.
Cons: Just wish parking wasn't so hard to find, but that is for any place in town.

Pros: Location is great. Can walk to everything. Staff is friendly too.
Cons: Can use some upgrades. heater didn't work so had to bundle up. Moved to another and this heater wouldn't stop had to turn it off completely.
