Incredible setting and views. We loved the big Island and our base here in Hilo. Staff was friendly. Restaurant lacked kids meals despite lots of families. Property needs a paint job and is aging but in a changing tropics sort of way. The good way outweighs the less than perfect. Great music in the lobby and relaxing atmosphere. So close to waterfalls, volcanoes , black sand beaches and more.
Location of the hotel was great. But the staff needs more customer service training, the bed sheets were not clean, and the room had aunts. They only had one towel in the room.
Pros. Friendly service and extremely accommodating!!!! We had a wonderful staycation!!!!
Cons. As someone who works in the luxury hotel industry I have no suggestions or recommendations!!!! We were very pleased with our stay and will be returning!!!!
Pros. Beautiful setting, friendly staff. Valets were top notch!
Cons. Facility is older and not well maintained. Lobby furniture was stained.
